So,
The thought of today is bringing you fear and anxiety.
I can completely relate with this feeling.
I know there have been so many times where I've been overwhelmed with work or I've had stuff that I've had to do during the day which I was dreading.
Whether that was having to communicate or socialise,
Or whether that was something at work that I needed to do that was in the back of my mind.
I found a really powerful technique about how to deal with these emotions and feelings.
And it begins with the morning.
How you set yourself up first thing will determine how you deal with what you've got to deal with today.
So the very fact that you're here doing this means that you're going to deal with it in a productive way.
I want to take you through a little visualisation technique that I use whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed in that way.
And hopefully that will help you in some way.
So first of all I want you to close your eyes and just imagine that you're lying on a beach.
This beach is your beach.
It can look and feel exactly as you want it to in this moment.
I'm not going to describe it to you.
I just want you to feel the bliss of lying in this beautiful environment.
And just keep that in your mind's eye for a moment.
And I want you to breathe in no particular way.
Just relax and really feel the peace radiating through your body in this moment.
Now I want you to think of the closest people to you in your life that you rely on,
That you trust,
That you love.
And bring them into your mind's eye.
Now I want you to imagine their faces.
And they're smiling.
They're looking at you with complete pride,
And support,
And care,
And love.
These people have your back no matter what happens.
So whatever it is that you have to deal with today,
You know that these people will love you without judgment,
Without limitations.
So you can always return to their smile,
To their presence.
And whether it's a big presentation,
Or anything that's daunting you that you have to do,
Bring them into your mind's eye during those moments.
And you'll feel that love.
You'll feel that support.
And you won't feel like what you have to deal with is so daunting anymore.
In fact,
It often used to help me get through these moments with a smile.
So I brought you to a beautiful beach at the beginning of this meditation to allow that peace to radiate over you.
You can return to that beach at any moment during the day,
Whenever you're feeling stressed or anxious.
And then during those big moments,
Bring those ones that are closest to you into your mind's eye,
And feel their love.
