Hello and welcome to Vision,
A meditation designed to connect you to your future self.
My name is Emma Maidment and I'll be guiding you through this practice today.
So when you're ready,
Please make your way to a comfortable seat and begin to close down your eyes.
Feeling your body start to settle.
Take a deep breath into your belly and a deep breath out of your mouth.
One more,
A deep breath into your belly and a full breath out of the mouth.
Starting to feel your body settling into its simplest form of awareness.
Softening the shoulders,
Taking any tension out of the jaw.
Feeling a sense of ease.
Do anything you need here to feel comfortable in your physical body,
So that you can truly relax into this visualization process.
Now bring your attention once again to your breath.
And just begin to observe the breath as it naturally moves in and out of the chest.
So the breath and the heartbeat are in this beautiful rhythm and dance together.
Feeling with each inhale and exhale this softening and opening of the heart space.
When we're in this space of living heart forward and connecting to our vision,
To the next iteration of ourself,
It comes from a place of open heartedness,
Love and compassion.
So feel that connection to your heart and let it flow in and out.
Now keeping that awareness softly and faintly in the background of the breath flowing in and out,
Draw your attention in and up to your third eye,
Your Ajna.
And imagine a projector screen coming out through your third eye,
Projecting onto the wall in front of you.
And you start to see on that screen as though you're watching a movie,
A beautiful grand ballroom with chandeliers and tables and decorations and waiters with drinks.
As this beautiful venue begins to emerge in front of you,
You feel yourself being drawn into it.
And if though you've woken up in an alternate reality,
You find yourself in the room and you catch your reflection in a window to your right.
Notice what you're wearing,
How you've styled your hair,
What jewelry you've put on.
You feel fabulous,
Glowing,
Proud.
And as you walk into the room,
You make your way over to your table and on that table you see the people that are supporting you,
The people in your corner,
Your team,
Your family,
Your friends,
Whoever it is,
Just notice who's there,
Who's there to support you in this momentous occasion.
And as the evening rolls on,
People are being celebrated for their legacies,
For their achievements,
For their contributions.
And you sit there listening,
Watching and observing until suddenly you hear your name mentioned and somebody from your table stands up,
Gives you a knowing nod and makes their way to the stage.
You feel a little bit surprised.
Notice who that person is,
Who is making their way to the stage.
And when they get there,
They begin to give a speech in your honor and you realize that you are about to receive an award.
Listen to what this person is saying and how they are describing you,
Your qualities,
The contribution that you have made,
The legacy that you are creating,
How you embody your values,
How you show up in the world,
How you impact other people.
Listen to the words they use to describe you and feel what it feels like to be truly seen as a leader in this way.
Be with the experience.
And as you take in their words,
You're called up to the stage,
You make your way up and you graciously receive your award.
Making your thank you speech,
Thanking whoever it is that you want to thank.
Feel that speech,
Hear it,
Who are you thanking,
Who has been in your corner,
Who has gotten you to this place.
And with a sense of pride and achievement and a deep knowing that this has been your soul's work,
You make your way back to the table and all the people there give you celebratory hugs and high fives and you sit down,
Taking in the feeling of what it feels like to be seen,
What it feels like to be visible in this way.
And then as though it's a Cinderella moment,
The ballgown begins to fade,
The chandelier becomes a distant twinkle and you find yourself being drawn back in through the projector screen,
Back into your Ajna to your third eye.
As that projector screen begins to close down and your awareness now drops back into your heart space.
And just for a moment,
Feel back into the heart,
Let that experience integrate into your body.
How does it feel?
What's coming up?
Be with what is,
Let it absorb into you on a cellular level,
That feeling,
The resonance.
Any key takeaways that have presented themselves,
Try not to force anything,
Just let it be.
And then taking whatever it is that you need from this experience.
As you now bring your awareness back into your body,
To your physical body,
Become aware of your fingers and your toes.
And when you feel fully reintegrated back with your physical self,
Begin to open up your eyes and come fully back into the room.
Welcome back.
I invite you to take out a pen and paper and to just write down what came up in that experience for you.
What are the key takeaways?
What were the words that were spoken?
This will start to shape and shift your vision of this future self.
Ask yourself what virtues,
Values and qualities were they celebrating in you?
How have you shown up as a leader,
As a creator or a guide?
What impact have you made on your community?
And how do people feel when they interact with you?
Answering these questions after this meditation is such a powerful way to get really clear on the vision of the self that you are stepping into,
So that you can begin to embody who that is in every aspect of your life.
I invite you to take some time to sit in reflection and work through these questions.
And I look forward to watching you become this new embodied version as you fully step into everything that you have to offer and share with the world,
