Welcome to your meditation.
Please take your time to find a comfortable seat and when you're ready,
Gently close down your eyes.
Take a few moments to settle your physical body.
Softening your shoulders,
Your face,
Your jaw,
Taking any tension out of your lower back,
Your hips,
And taking a full body exhale.
Feeling everything release and relax.
Take your attention now to your breath.
And together we'll take just a few calming breaths to truly settle the nervous system.
When you're ready,
Breathing into the belly for the count of one,
Two,
Hold.
To the top of the chest for one,
Two,
Hold.
And then a deep exhale out of the mouth.
Do that again,
Into the belly.
One,
Two,
Hold.
The chest,
One,
Two,
Hold.
And then a deep exhale out of the mouth.
One last time,
Breathing into the belly.
Your chest.
And then a deep exhale.
Allowing your attention now to come back to your breath.
And feeling it as it rolls in and out of your body.
Beginning to draw your attention now to your heart space.
Feeling the breath as it moves in and out of the heart.
Feeling the physical effects of the breath.
Moving your physical body.
Creating a shift in your lungs.
Stretching your skin from the inside out.
Now taking your attention to the energetic heart.
The Anahata Chakra.
This unbounded space of love that resides inside of all of us.
Just feel into this space for a few moments.
When we feel into the limitless nature,
The unbounded love within the heart,
We're reminded of the love of the mother.
That might be a physical mother figure in your life.
Or the divine mother herself.
You might be a mother yourself.
But in order to be here,
You have a mother.
And we continue through this meditation to explore the mother line.
Just be with what that brings up for you.
Allow it to be.
As we begin to tap into the unique love of a mother.
A kind of love that we all have within us.
As both givers and receivers.
A force of life that is universal and unconditional.
It is pure and unwavering.
As you attune to this sensation,
Begin to imagine it as a cord of love within your heart.
Beginning to send gratitude out to your mother.
And their mother.
And their mother's mother.
For carrying a lineage of love that sustains life in all of its shades of gentle,
Courageous,
Nurturing,
And fierceness.
Imagining this cord of love moving through your maternal line.
All the way back as far as you can remember.
Until you eventually reach the divine mother.
Mother Earth,
Gaia herself.
A reminder that you are connected to the ultimate mother.
Mother Earth.
Pour your love and gratitude through your maternal line.
All the way back to the source of everything.
To the ultimate mother.
Now begin to feel that cord connected through your maternal line back to Mother Earth.
Begin to feel you receiving that love and gratitude from Mother Earth all the way back through your own maternal line.
Feeling this lineage of love.
Love that sustains life in all its shades of gentle,
Courageous,
Nurturing,
And fierceness.
Feel it pouring back to you.
As it moves along this cord,
It begins to fill you up.
As though you are beaming with this love and gratitude that you are receiving through the maternal line within you.
A connection and honoring to the mothers that have walked the path before you.
Feel that unconditional love moving into your heart space and igniting every cell in your body until you begin to vibrate with its essence.
Feeling held and supported and loved.
Cradled in the arms of the divine mother.
Held in her energy and her love.
Bask in this for a moment longer.
Begin to bring your attention now back to the breath as it moves in and out of your heart space.
Feeling the physical effects of breath moving in and out of the heart.
Beginning to anchor you now back into the physical body.
Allowing this feeling of being held and supported to stay with you.
Full of love and gratitude.
A giving and receiving that has occurred.
Floating awareness back into your entire physical body now.
Moving your head and neck twinkling your fingers and your toes until you eventually become fully present once again in your physical body.
When you feel fully present and connected with your physical self take as much time as you need to gently open your eyes and completely come back.
And your practice of meditation is now complete.
