This is Sky Energy Meditation by Emily Martin.
Let's go ahead and get started by finding ourselves in a comfortable seated position or you can be lying down.
We'll be together for the next 10 to 15 minutes.
So find some place that feels comfortable.
Let's start by just taking a few deep breaths.
Why don't we inhale through our nose and exhale through our mouth?
I want you to go inside your meditation sanctuary,
Which is the center of your head.
It's kind of like your command central.
It's where your consciousness resides,
Your awareness.
Just go ahead and say hello quietly to yourself.
Just acknowledge your spirit,
Your awareness,
Your consciousness.
So say hello to it and let it respond back to you.
Now I'd like you to set a grounding cord,
So something that's connecting you,
Your body,
And Mother Earth.
So it could be the roots of a tree,
A waterfall,
Laundry chute,
A chain,
A cord,
An anchor.
Just pick one image that works for you today.
And make it as wide as your sit bones,
So your hips.
And connect that grounding cord from your hips and your sit bones all the way down deep into the center of the earth.
And if you'd like,
You can even attach it to the center of the earth with a giant hook or a carabiner or tie it.
Or maybe it just is a waterfall that flows from your body down into Mother Earth.
However you are tethered to the earth is fine.
And I just want you to do a quick body scan.
We'll start at our head.
And as we move through the body parts,
I just want you to ground down any negativity,
Anything that doesn't belong in your energetic field.
And just ground it off into Mother Earth.
So let's start at the head,
The crown,
The forehead,
Behind the eyes.
Face,
Cheeks,
Back of your head,
Neck.
Shoulders,
Torso,
Chest,
Chest cavity,
Solar plexus,
Belly.
Upper back,
Shoulder blades,
Spine,
Lower back,
Buttocks.
Left shoulder,
Left forearm,
Left elbow,
Left forearm,
Left hand.
Right shoulder,
Right upper arm,
Right elbow,
Right forearm,
Right hand.
Lower belly,
Pelvis,
Hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
Lower legs,
Ankles,
Heels,
Soles,
Toes.
Just ground down any negativity.
Let's fill those spaces now with beautiful earth energy that's coming up from the ground.
So find yourself in your favorite place in nature,
Or maybe just where you want to be right now at this moment.
Where is some place that really calls to you?
And just drink that earth energy in,
Whatever color.
It's energetic signature is,
Bring that earth energy up through the soles of your feet,
In through the soles of your feet,
Into your lower legs,
To your knees,
To your thighs,
Into your belly.
And just drink in that beautiful earth energy,
Knowing that it's exactly the nourishing energy that you need today,
Right now.
The earth will always provide beautiful,
Nourishing energy.
It is without harm.
And as that earth energy is circulating in your lower belly,
I want you to go,
In your mind's eye,
Above your body,
Above the roof of the house or the building you're in,
Above the town or the city that you're in,
Way out beyond the atmosphere.
I want you to find yourself way out in outer space.
And it's dark and filled with purple and deep,
Dark blues and blacks,
And it is a beautiful void.
And in that void,
There's one special star that is shining brighter for you than all the other stars.
It may even say your name or wave or wink or twinkle at you.
Follow that star and come right up to it and allow its starlight to shine down through outer space,
Through the atmosphere,
Through your town,
Through your house,
Right down into the crown of your head.
And see what color that light is or wants to be,
And choose a color or allow that starlight to have a color something other than white.
So don't have it be white light that's shining into the crown of your head,
But allow it to be some vibrant other color.
And know that this is known as life force energy,
Cosmic chi,
Get up and go energy.
This is your unique frequency.
The star represents your soul's library of information,
Your soul's knowing.
This is your soul's understanding of past,
Present,
And future.
It has all the answers you will ever need.
It is your personal energetic frequency.
It is your home frequency.
Tap into that starlight and allow whatever color it is that wants to beam down into you,
Except for white,
Allow that beautiful starlight to just penetrate through the crown of your head and roll over your shoulders and down your back and into your torso and chest and belly.
And let it start mixing with that gorgeous earth energy that you brought up before.
And so perhaps you have a continual stream of starlight coming in through your crown.
And find the pathway that the energy wants to flow the circuit through your own energetic system that this starlight wants to flow.
Just notice where it's going,
How it's circulating,
How it's mixing with the earth energy.
Maybe it travels from your head all the way down to your toes and then gets recycled back up.
Maybe it's just straight down through your body down into the earth and the earth energy comes up,
Mixes with the sky energy and rains,
Showers back down.
You figure out where and how these two energies best move and circulate through your body,
Knowing that they are both incredibly nourishing.
The starlight gives you ultimate permission to be your unique self in this world.
There is no one else like you.
You are a spirit embodied right now on planet earth for a reason.
Let the cosmic qi,
The life force energy,
Permeate your body and provide you with that knowing,
That inspiration.
See if you can feel what starlight energy feels like.
It's really different from grounded earth energy.
Cosmic qi gives you that get up and go.
It's like the caffeinated energy.
It's sparkly and twinkly and light inspired.
Just sit here in this beautiful mixture of earth and sky energies,
Knowing that throughout time and space and countless traditions,
The human body has been seen as the conduit,
The pathway,
The middle ground between heaven and earth.
If we can embody both of these powerful energies on a daily basis,
Then we are much more spirited,
Grounded,
Enlivened people for ourselves,
For each other,
For our partners,
For our kids,
For our families,
For our parents,
For our communities.
