Held By Mother Earth

A reflection while holding my baby that I am also held by Mother Earth, and just as I have limitless love for my child and provide for all her needs, so am I loved and provided for. May this reading serve as a gentle reminder to listeners of the love and abundance we are held by.

I nursed my baby today while sitting on a bench, Soaking up the sights, Sounds, And scents of nature around us. I sang an impromptu lullaby to her about how I love her and will always love her. I sang about how all of her needs will be provided for. I held her as I was simultaneously held by the earth. Above the sound of my voice, I heard the hum of nature singing the same sentiment to me. I realized then that I didn't have anything to worry about because mama has me in her arms. May I remember this and return to this knowing always.
