Welcome everybody,

My name is Jasmine Hosono,

Founder of Emerald and Tiger.

I'm going to be sharing with you a short meditation practice to help bring more focus to your day.

It's a really simple practice that I like to do and it's using the affirmation,

I am here.

We're utilizing the breath,

Breathing deeply and softly down into the belly,

Breathing out,

Letting go and just following the words I am here.

As we breathe in and inhale we say the words I am and as we exhale here,

Breathing in I am,

Exhale here.

It's a really nice way to allow ourselves to not worry about the future or the past and allow our bodies to come into this state of presence.

Our natural breath in fact helps us to bring focus and flow but we're just often not aware of our breathing.

So this simple practice allows us to bring focus to our breath,

Using this affirmation to really root us in the here and now,

To ground into the here and now.

So just listening to my guided voice and at times when I feel silent,

I just want you to focus on your breathing,

Breathing deeply down into the belly,

Noticing the rise of your belly as you breathe in all of this vibrant air,

This renewed air into your body.

I am breathing in here,

Exhale,

Let go of all that stagnant energy.

You are here and you are breathing,

Breathing in again,

I am breathing out here.

Really beautiful practice,

You can say the words out loud or to yourself,

Whatever feels good for you right now.

Get yourself really comfortable,

Make sure that you're feeling completely relaxed in your seated position or you can lie down for this one.

If it really helps you,

You can place your hands on your lower belly to really notice the breath moving in and out of your body and to just help you to really focus on this practice sometimes,

Which is completely normal,

We fall out of practice and stop thinking about other things and all we need to do is come back to our breath,

Continue to repeat the affirmation and just see how far we can go.

Each day is a new day,

We continue to practice this as often as we like.

So no worries,

Keep trying and let's start,

Let's begin.

So just begin to close down your eyes if it's safe to do so.

Just take a moment to arrive into the session,

Into this stillness.

Bring your awareness to your breath,

Breathe in deeply and nice and slowly and softly down into your belly,

All the way in,

Breathing out through an open mouth,

Letting go.

Continue to breathe.

And now we're inviting the affirmation,

I am here,

So as you inhale,

I am,

As you exhale,

Here.

Inhale,

I am,

Exhale,

Here.

Inhale,

I am,

Exhale,

Here.

Inhale,

I am,

Exhale,

Here.

Beautiful,

Keep going.

Inhale,

I am,

Exhale,

Here.

Inhale,

I am,

Exhale,

Here.

Few more rounds of deep breath,

Inhale,

I am,

Exhale,

Here.

Inhale,

I am,

Exhale,

Here.

Just let go of the affirmation.

Taking your final deep breath all the way into your belly,

All the way out,

Letting go.

Returning your breath back to its natural flow,

Rhythm,

And just feel the presence of the earth below you,

Naturally grounding back into the earth below you.

Very gently,

Opening your eyes when you're ready,

Returning back into the space,

Back to your surroundings.

Jasmine, your voice is magical, the timbre of your voice is calming and soothing. My body is too heavy to move yet light and tingly.

Thank you for this meditation Jasmin :) I found the background music reminded me of a rattlesnake’s tail, and it almost had a hypnotic effect. The pace and guidance was lovely, so thank you. Sending so much gratitude and compassion!
