Welcome to another stress-fit meditation.
Find a quiet place for this meditation.
Do what you can to prevent distractions.
Be seated in your meditative posture and allow yourself to be comfortable.
Let's start by deeply breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
Press your attention on the breathing cycle.
It will be your anchor throughout this meditation.
Silence is the absence of you getting in the way of yourself.
Silence is where the ego cannot rule your world.
Silence is the language of love before we try to translate it with words.
There is boundless freedom and expression within the space of silence.
Allow the silence and lack of activity to relax you.
You don't have to do anything.
You're here in your meditation just simply observing.
If thoughts or emotions come to mind,
Acknowledge them and let them go.
They can only ask for your attention.
You decide where to place your awareness.
The practice here is in simply noticing when distractions arise and then returning to the breath.
Let the breath be light,
Uncomplicated and natural.
Breathe in relaxation.
Breathe out tension.
It's perfectly okay if you're distracted.
Just remind yourself to connect with the breath,
To be the observer and practice separating yourself from your body and your mind.
Silence.
Whenever you experience a distraction,
Simply imagine a cloud appearing in the center of your mind's eye and channel all your attention into that cloud.
As you watch it gently drift away,
Notice how there's only a clear blue sky when it's gone.
Practice this for the next few moments.
This is the Second Continent.
Now begin to imagine yourself walking down a path in a lush green forest.
You notice how tall the trees are,
How there are animals all around,
And how soft the ground feels.
This path is leading to a gorgeous open meadow,
Which you can see now in the distance.
The sunlight on the meadow contrasts to the cool shadiness of the forest.
The air is warm and clean.
Getting it in revitalizes you and brings a mental clarity.
You can smell the nutrient-rich soil and feel a subtle breeze on your skin.
As you reach the open meadow and leave the edge of the forest,
The ground becomes noticeably softer and you're instantly feeling supported from the sustainable properties of Mother Earth.
You stop at the meadow's opening and just stand there receiving the comfort all over your body.
It starts at your feet and deeply relaxes you and gives you solace.
You take a nice,
Deep,
Fresh breath in and let it out.
The first thing you notice is how the sky is full of beautiful clouds that are expansive and holding water.
You notice how they're moving slowly but steadily and how they've quickly covered most of the sky.
You can see sheets of rain falling in the distance.
You find a nice spot in the clearing of the meadow and take a meditative posture.
And when you do,
You feel the forest floor supporting you and you begin to close your eyes.
This is the first thing I notice about Mother Earth and Maggie.
The thoughts come and they go.
You breathe in and you breathe out.
Now in the relaxing nature,
Sitting silently in your meditative posture,
You can see the clouds from overhead as they expand far into the distance in every direction.
Imagine placing all your thoughts,
Emotions,
Bodily sensations,
Concepts,
And all your worries into the clouds one by one and just observe them passing by.
After you place a worry inside the cloud,
Watch it until it's gone.
The cloud may change shape or color or even start raining onto Mother Earth's surface once you place your worries inside of it.
But don't be fooled or dazzled by this.
It's just your mind.
Simply maintain your steady position and be the observer.
Inhale,
Placing your worry into the cloud.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
Practice and repeat this for the next few moments.
Allow your worries to be taken away by the clouds passing overhead.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
Inhale,
Your breath moving the clouds as they drift far,
Far away.
The breath is still present as you clear the clouds of your mind.
Notice any areas in the body if there's tension.
Notice any resistance in your mental activity.
Making the simple connection to your body,
You can ask yourself,
Where am I holding the stress?
What worries can I let go of?
You're clearing away what is no longer of service to you and welcoming in the new.
You can ask for more space and simplicity and harmony.
By clearing away the old,
You're inviting creativity,
Mindfulness,
And flow into your life.
You create open space in your life with your breath.
Breathe how you want to live.
You can ask Mother Earth for her assistance.
She is here for us to feel her grounding and supportive nature.
You can acknowledge your worries knowing Mother Earth is here to support you.
You may ask Mother Earth to guide you while you let go of all your worries.
Perhaps you can find a keyword to help channel a certain quality while you do this practice.
Strong,
Gentle,
Unwavering,
Compassionate,
Nurturing,
Loving,
Cyclic,
Wild.
Begin consciously breathing with this quality for the next few moments.
Breathe how you want to live.
Allow whatever quality you chose to be the very force that is coming now from deep within Mother Earth.
You begin to notice a warm sensation coming from beneath you.
You sense it coming from where your body meets the ground.
Take a moment to place your attention on the points where your body meets and touches the supportive ground beneath you.
Inhale and imagine Mother Earth from its hot,
Molten lava core all the way out to its soft layers of debris and organic material.
And then even further to the atmosphere surrounding it that creates our weather and allows us to breathe.
Exhale and imagine Mother Earth spinning gracefully from outer space.
She is softly and powerfully moving in this vast galaxy.
Inhale and imagine Mother Earth spinning gracefully from outer space.
Exhale and imagine Mother Earth spinning gracefully from outer space.
Inhale and imagine Mother Earth spinning gracefully from outer space.
Exhale and imagine Mother Earth spinning gracefully from outer space.
Let that virtuous quality you chose to represent Mother Earth to be the very energy that is coming up all the way from the Earth's core and making contact with you through the floor.
Mother Earth is cradling you within this unimaginably beautiful and expansive universe and her support is rendering all your worries valid and a perfectly natural step in your evolution.
Our worries are not silly,
Unimportant,
Or harmful.
They are there for a reason and to teach us something.
If for nothing else,
It is to show us where we can grow and let go.
Inhale drawing up the support from Mother Earth.
Exhale watching the clouds dissolve.
Inhale being receptive to Mother Earth's supportive energy and exhale dissolving all your worries.
Exhale and imagine Mother Earth spinning gracefully from outer space.
Looking back to your natural breath,
Simply inhale and exhale as you naturally would.
Begin to notice and observe all that is around you.
Taking a few deep,
Full,
Natural breaths.
Inviting in that fresh air and inviting in all that raw and nurturing energy into your body.
And just begin to observe how you feel in this very moment.
You can gently open your eyes now.
Gradually coming back to the physical world.
Hopefully you feel a little bit more clear now.
Next time you're feeling cluttered or worried,
Try using this meditation to clear your energy and dissolve all your worries.
