
Morning Manifestation

This morning manifestation practice offers us the chance to welcome in a fresh new day with a positive outlook. We'll begin by focusing on the ajna chakra to focus the mind and open the imagination. With guidance, we'll begin to visualise the scene, outlook or goal we're looking to create, and build out from there to really feel into the picture, noticing our surroundings, the people we might be sharing the scene with and the feelings the attainment of this picture is inspiring within you. A great one for daily practice - why not try it for 10 days straight and see what impact it has?

Welcome to your morning meditation.
I'd suggest finding a comfortable seated position on a cushion or a bolster and settling yourself down.
Making arrangements with the body so that you're comfortable and supported and then just closing down the eyes.
This morning is a new start,
A fresh day and I'm waking.
We have the opportunity to design the day however we like.
If you're anything like me,
Waking can be challenging.
It's not always easy emerging from the unconscious of the mind,
From dreams,
From the comfort of a deep sleep.
And equally if there's anything about the day ahead that challenges you or inspires fear or worry or dread,
It can be so easy to begin the day with those very first thoughts in a way that supports fear and worry and dread.
So we can be mindful as soon as we feel ourselves waking and we notice the mind casting around trying to remember what day it is,
Where we are,
What's coming up.
We can just be mindful of our thoughts,
Noticing if there is any anxiety or projection,
An assumption perhaps that the day ahead is going to be hard.
And instead what I'd like to suggest,
And this is an awareness that we cultivate over time with the practice of meditation and self study,
But we can begin to just switch the channel so that as we wake up we train the mind into thinking positively,
To thank ourselves for having slept,
To thank the comfort of the bed and the pillow and the duvet.
And rather than allowing the mind to rush into all the tasks that await us,
We actually give ourselves a generous amount of time in which to let the mind seep into the day ahead.
So we might sit up in bed and practice this meditation,
Or if you've found your way to the floor and a prop,
Both options are good.
We might just begin our meditation by offering ourselves a few affirmative statements.
Breathing in,
I breathe in a new day.
Breathing out,
I breathe out the stale air from my body.
Breathing in,
I breathe in the opportunities that today brings me.
Breathing out,
I breathe out fear and anxiety.
Breathing in,
I breathe in a good life.
Breathing out,
I breathe out the remnants of yesterday.
And just as we create this simple exchange in the body drawing in a fresh new breath and a fresh opportunity for life,
We also expel anything in the body that we don't want to hold on to.
Anything that's weighing us down or creating fear and uncertainty.
And with the eyes closed now,
Let's just take the gaze to the Ajna Chakra,
The third eye,
That space between the eyebrows.
This is our intuitive and wisdom center.
It is also where we get to play in the imaginary field to visualize all that we wish to bring into our lives.
Taking the gaze here will help to focus the mind if it's unsteady or wavering.
It may be even that we see a little color or pattern of light displaying on the back of the eyelids.
And I want you to begin to visualize whatever it is that you're seeking to create for yourself today and in the forthcoming days of your life.
It might be one event such as the delivery of a great talk or presentation or pitch at work.
It might be a conversation that you know has to happen today,
Which is leaving you feeling nervous.
Or it might be a bigger picture plan,
A house that you want to build,
A relationship that you want to have,
A lifestyle or a health goal.
Something that's going to take a few building blocks to achieve.
And I want you just to receive the images of this scene.
To begin to see yourself in this scenario.
It might be that you see through your own eyes or even perhaps you're able to remove yourself and look at yourself in this place.
I want you to fill in some details now.
Noticing what you're wearing in this situation.
Feel the clothes on your body.
Feel your feet on the ground.
See the other faces that you're with,
The people.
Tune into the expressions on their faces.
Are they smiling at you in encouragement?
Are they listening,
Taking you in?
Maybe they're celebrating you or hugging you.
And as you in this meditation right now just turn the corners of your mouth into a smile.
Notice how that makes you feel.
Notice the face and the body beginning to soften as you let yourself feel the experience of warmth and excitement and satisfaction and any other emotion that this particular scene is generating.
And find some more detail to continue fleshing out the picture.
What's the weather like where you are?
The light,
The quality of the light.
Are there witnesses or observers or friends and family cheering you on?
Or is this an encounter that is about you and you alone?
What can you smell?
And how does that smell make you feel?
What can you hear?
And how do those sounds make you feel?
Allow yourself to receive the physical and emotional sensations that are in your body in this moment.
And continue to smile at this image of yourself creating and receiving the scenario that is your ideal life or your ideal outcome.
Maybe there's a warm feeling in the heart,
A sense of the face having opened up.
Maybe the body feels light and you can feel the spread of gratitude as it radiates from the heart center and fills your whole body,
Perhaps even surrounding your body with a warm glowing light.
Allow yourself to fully feel and receive all of the joy and pleasure that comes with creating this scene,
Knowing that the more you cultivate that feeling of already having attained it,
The more you're drawing that experience into your actual day to day life.
Just allowing it to wash over you and allowing yourself full permission to bathe in it.
Any images that are floating up into the mind's eye,
You can just let them come with you,
Adding any extra details as they occur,
Noticing what you're noticing.
And then just allowing the mind to notice how attaining this particular thing or outcome or goal is going to positively impact your life.
How it's going to affect your closest relationships.
How it's going to affect the way you see yourself and talk to yourself.
Perhaps how it affects your health,
Your money,
Your general well being.
And then because we've cultivated that feeling inside,
In response to this image,
This detailed image that we've created,
We can be certain that it's coming to us.
We've raised the vibration of the heart and the emotions so that we can draw in and attract the quality of experience at that same level of vibration.
It's like we're putting in an order to the universe and knowing that the universe has received our order.
There's nothing else for us to do,
We can just give deep thanks,
Knowing and trusting that this experience is on its way to us.
Giving thanks for the joy it inspires,
The relief,
The satisfaction.
Allowing again that gratitude to flood the body.
We might now join our hands together in prayer position at the heart and either in the mind's eye or out loud say to ourselves,
Thank you.
And feeling so it is.
Bowing the head towards the hands.
Namaste.
