Let's do a self-exploration meditation on the natural withdrawal from the world.

Uparati,

Withdrawal Allow the weaker's eyes to close.

Let relaxation ensue.

Take a step beyond and be the witness of the weaker.

From the standpoint of the witness,

Are you able to recognize that this is the same witnessing position as the dream and deep sleep?

Spiritual toughness of the witness propels a quick and natural withdrawal from the indulgence in the waking world,

From the belief of being the waker.

Are you spiritually tough yet?

Has withdrawal happened yet?

Allow the eyes of the waker to open.

Notice that the waker continues per his waking script in the waking world.

But you,

The witness,

Are always at a distance.

Is there a recognition that even if you wanted,

You could not be the waker?

Is there a recognition that withdrawal is only an idea?

Only when you believe yourself to be the waker,

Then you believe that a slip has happened and then you believe that you have to quickly withdraw from that indulgence.

This is uparati at a lower witnessing level.

Nevertheless,

It is still uparati.

Has this started happening yet?

Allow the eyes of the waker to close again.

Now let's bring up the memory of a dream.

Any dream.

It can even be a daydream or an imagination.

Spiritual toughness of the witness propels a quick and natural withdrawal from indulging in that dream,

From pretending to be the dreamer.

Has your spiritual toughness developed yet?

The dreamer may or may not continue per his dream script in the dream world.

But you,

The witness,

Always remain at a distance.

You are when the dream is.

You are when the dream collapses.

Have dreams started collapsing yet?

Do you realize that even if you wanted to be the dream character,

Enjoying the dream world,

You can only be its witness?

The idea of withdrawing from the slip that happens when you pretend to be the dream character is also a mere idea.

When that idea is believed,

Withdrawal is believed.

This is uparati at the lower witnessing level.

Nevertheless,

It is still uparati.

Has it started happening yet?

Bring up the memory of your Swapna Nidra Gnana Sadhana.

And remember that glimpse of being the witness of the deep sleep state darkness.

Spiritual toughness of the witness propels a natural withdrawal from the indulgence in the idea of being the deep sleeper.

The sleep continues per the sleep script in the darkness.

But you,

The witness,

Always remain at a distance.

You never wake,

You never dream,

And you never sleep.

Has this recognition seeped in yet?

Uparati at the lower witnessing level is withdrawal from the idea that I was absent in the deep sleep state.

It is a false idea and a false withdrawal.

But nevertheless,

It is still uparati at the lower witnessing level.

Has uparati started happening yet?

I want this is indulgence.

I don't want this is restraint.

Uparati is neither leaning towards gratification nor towards suppression.

A natural austerity is uparati.

Simplicity is uparati.

A natural disinclination to leave one's stand of witnessing is uparati.

Courageously acknowledging that I cannot see,

Smell,

Hear,

Taste and touch either in the waking or in the dream is uparati.

Courageously acknowledging that I am the one that witnesses the so-called absence of the waking and dreaming in the deep sleep.

Withdrawing from the wrong belief of I was absent there is uparati.

As the spiritual toughness increases,

It amplifies the withdrawal from the illusory worlds.

Uparati now goes to the higher witnessing level.

At the higher witnessing level,

There remains no more a need to withdraw from waking,

Dreaming and deep sleep.

Because they are not seen as three separate states anymore.

The three states now appear as simply waves of knowledge.

Waking knowledge wave,

Dream knowledge wave and a deep sleep knowledge wave.

A oneness ensues.

The oneness of knowledge.

Not just the worlds are seen as one,

But even the waker,

Dreamer and deep sleeper.

All are seen as mere knowledge waves.

The oneness of knowledge.

There is only the knowledge of a waker's doership.

There is only the knowledge of the waker's experiencership.

There is no real waking world action happening there.

There is no waking world that is being experienced there.

Hence,

There is nothing to indulge in and nothing to abstain from.

There is only knowledge.

That is the higher level of uparati.

A waking world object cannot exist in knowledge.

There is no body in knowledge.

There is no mind in knowledge.

There are no senses in knowledge.

There is no sense object in knowledge.

There is only knowledge.

Nothing else.

Hence,

It is only a preliminary stage to say that there is knowledge of the waking.

Because,

Waking cannot exist in knowledge.

Hence,

There is only knowledge.

Period.

There is no dream world object that can exist in knowledge.

There is no dreamer's body in knowledge.

There is not even a dreamer's mind in knowledge.

There are no dream senses in knowledge.

There are no dream objects in knowledge.

There is only knowledge.

Nothing else.

Hence,

To say knowledge of a dream is only a preliminary understanding.

This is because a dream cannot exist in knowledge.

There is only knowledge.

There is no deep sleep world object that can exist in knowledge.

There is no body absence in knowledge.

There isn't any mind absence in knowledge.

There is no sense absence in knowledge.

There is no sense object absence in knowledge.

There is only knowledge.

Nothing else.

Hence,

To say that in deep sleep there is the knowledge of absence is preliminary.

There is no knowledge of absence as absence cannot exist in knowledge.

There is only knowledge.

Period.

When there is no waking,

No dreaming,

No deep sleep,

When there is only knowledge,

Then there is no point of indulgence in knowledge.

There is no point of abstaining from knowledge.

At the higher witnessing level,

Uparati is the recognition of pointlessness of withdrawal because there is nothing to withdraw from.

This level of Uparati happens only on the realization of oneness,

Unity of waking,

Dreaming,

Deep sleep,

The witness consciousness and the pure consciousness,

The merger of them all,

Ekta,

When there is nothing but just oneness.

That is the higher level of Uparati.

Have you developed the higher level of Uparati yet?

Is there a realization of nothing but oneness?

Nothing but oneness?

Nothing but oneness?
