Good morning!

This is for you if you tend to wake up with anxiety or dread for the day or maybe yesterday was not so good.

So this is for you to reset,

Begin again.

Welcome in the new day with positivity,

Trust,

And excitement.

Right away,

My friend,

Place your hands over your heart and close your eyes if that feels okay to you.

Feel your beating heart.

You woke up today.

You woke up.

You get to live another day.

Breathe in slow.

Let it go.

Really becoming aware of your breath.

Deepening your breath.

Inhaling.

Exhaling.

Pressing your hands into your heart.

Whispering thank you to your heart for beating.

Thank you to your lungs for breathing you full.

There is no rush.

You can soften here.

Notice how the mind is maybe almost in a habit loop.

Stuck in dreading what's to come.

What if today it's not the same old things?

What if it's a possibility that today could be a good day?

First,

Can you allow yesterday to remain closed,

Knowing that you did your best with everything that came your way?

Even if you made mistakes or had some troubles or struggled,

Allow the page to turn into today.

A blank page.

Letting all your worries and your doubts and your heartaches from yesterday fade.

Visualizing this blank page.

This is your chance to try again.

To write a different story,

A different narrative.

Let it be new.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Let it feel different because it is.

Opening your heart up to the possibilities.

Opening your heart up to what could go really well instead of focusing on what could go wrong.

Breathe in.

Let it go.

Exhale.

Henry David Thoreau writes,

Only that day dawns to which we are awake.

My friend,

Do not sleepwalk today.

Do not let the mundane move you.

Move with presence,

Awareness.

Live awake and you will see there's so much beauty,

There is so much good.

And despite all the anxiety and dread,

There is still room for more right here.

There is still room for more right here.

There is still room for peace.

There is still room for joy.

There is still room for light.

There is nothing wrong with you.

There is more to you.

There is more to you.

There is more to this day.

Slow breath in.

Let it go.

Feel the surrender.

Trusting the unfolding.

Knowing that really your only job is to be here fully and awaken to your life.

Feeling your heartbeat if your hands are still pressed into your heart space.

Remembering that you are there for you.

You can take on this day.

Lifting your heart.

Lifting your chin.

Feeling ready.

Feeling a shift.

My friend,

Go make it a great day.

Breathe in.

Let it go.

From my heart to yours.

Thank you.

This is such a beautiful practice! Treating each moment as if it’s new, brings such curiosity and willingness to each obstacle I might run into today. πŸ’“
