Welcome to this moment my friend.
Allow yourself to ease into the now.
Maybe closing your eyes and placing a hand or two over your heart.
Whenever the mind feels turbulent,
Chaotic,
It means you just need to drop into your heart.
Return to your body.
As you exhale,
Feel your awareness drop into your heart,
Into your body.
You do not need to be with your thoughts.
Your thoughts will be okay without you.
Imagine you are floating away on a boat,
Safely moving far,
Far away from an island that holds all of your thoughts,
All that's on your mind.
Minute by minute,
The island gets smaller and smaller.
Everything that's causing you worry,
Everything on your mind soon vanishes,
Barely visible in the distance.
You're able to get away from your mind.
You're able to come back to what truly matters.
Softening into your heart in this very moment,
Recognizing that everything that's on your mind,
Everything that's far,
Far away now doesn't need to run your day.
You can let it go.
You can be free from it.
You are allowed to feel peace,
No matter what's still present.
We don't always have to be aware of what's on our mind,
Constantly trying to understand or change or fix.
You can be without it all.
And now that you've created space between you and your mind,
Can you see the clutter that wasn't even yours?
Can you feel yourself return to your true essence,
Your true nature?
Underneath all the layers of what's been happening,
Underneath all the feelings and the thoughts you've been having,
You are steady.
You remain calm,
Grounded,
No matter the chaos.
Slow breath in,
Slower exhale.
Now imagine returning back to your mind,
The island,
Feeling this neutral approach,
This non-reactivity,
Because you know you are safe.
Your energy is protected,
No matter what is on your mind,
No matter what comes your way.
Feeling this grounded,
Strong energy.
Feel this return back to yourself,
Back to your heart.
You are the calm within the chaos,
You are the light within the darkness.
Whenever it feels like too much,
Place a hand or two over your heart and whisper,
Come home,
Come back,
Let it go.
Maybe sit here for a moment,
Just notice how you feel now,
Coming back to your surroundings,
Blinking your eyes open if they were closed,
And come back to this practice whenever you need,
My friend.
