Finding yourself a comfortable place.
Today we're going to do some very powerful and healing work.
You'll find it comforting and calming and very centering.
As if you are just going back to any times of difficulty or uncertainty in your life.
And you can give yourself all the comfort that you might have needed.
So you can start by relaxing safely in the knowledge that the work you're going to do here will be very beneficial,
Very therapeutic and you can listen to this as many times as you want.
Going back to many different times in your life.
And what we're going to do is a guided visualization where you go back to your inner child.
And you're going to give that inner child of yours all the support that you can possibly offer.
So make it your intention now that you are going to be as compassionate and understanding as you can possibly be with your inner child.
And we can get started.
This is your time just for you.
So find yourself this quiet space and sit lie down whichever is more comfortable for you.
Start by taking in a few deep and comfortable breaths and do whatever you need to do to make yourself as comfortable as you can be.
And if at any point during this visualization you feel the need to move,
You can do so.
So just a gentle introduction to relaxation.
Taking in a deep full inhalation and hold it.
And let it out now very slowly and already you may start to feel your body starting to relax.
And continue to breathe in this way.
Breathing in as fully as you can.
And exhaling completely.
Any thoughts that go in and out of your mind just let them flow.
Don't try to control them or stop them.
Just let them pass through your mind.
And the relaxation that's expanding with every out breath flowing from the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes.
Notice how your body feels.
And every breath you exhale is going to guide you deeper into relaxation.
So it will be a lovely positive side effect of this beautiful visualization.
Every sound that you hear and every word I say will continue to deepen your relaxation.
Just lovely positive pleasant feelings flowing through your mind and your body.
And now I want you to take yourself back to when you were a little child of baby five years old.
You're very small.
The world seemed a big place.
And that little child,
Maybe around five years old,
Didn't know much about life yet or how to cope.
And now I want the adult version of you today to go back and talk to that little child.
Give that child all the comfort he or she needed.
You may want to put that child on your lap and hug that child.
Or you might just be sitting next to them.
Or maybe sitting opposite each other.
Really doesn't matter.
As long as you're giving that child all the love and comfort that child needs.
All the love and comfort that child needs.
See that child now.
Really get a sense of what it is that child is feeling.
And give that child all the love and comfort needed.
Give them the confidence.
Tell the child he or she is going to be alright.
Tell that child some of the lovely things that are going to happen.
Give that child all the confidence he or she deserves.
Listen to that child.
Hear what's being said.
Comfort that child.
Tell the child all the things he or she needs to know.
Stay with that child.
Tell your inner child you will go back and talk to them whenever they need you.
Tell your inner child he or she is now safe.
And that you will be there for them every single day for the rest of their life.
And of course day by day,
Week by week,
That little child grew bigger.
That child became a ten year old for an age around that area.
But ten year olds can also find the world a scary place.
So go back and give comfort to that little ten year old.
Telling them everything they need to know.
Give them all the comfort they needed at that time.
Tell them everything they needed to hear at that time.
Fill them with all the love and confidence and security that they deserve.
Hold them.
See that child's face lighting up as you fill them with all these wonderful words,
Positive energies,
Hope,
Excitement,
Encouragement,
Support.
See that child's face lighting up as you promise to give that child everything they need every day from now on.
And of course that ten year old grew into an adolescent.
And being an adolescent it's a difficult time for anyone.
Half adult,
Half child.
Hormones changing the shape of the body.
All the adult uncertainties and difficulties are starting to come into play.
So go back and comfort that adolescent.
And give comfort for anything else they have going on in their life.
Give them all the confidence and encouragement you feel they needed at that time.
Tell them about all the wonderful things that they have ahead of them.
And then of course that adolescent grew into a young adult.
Maybe twenty,
Maybe around that age.
And of course being around that age as well has its difficulties.
Visualize yourself now going back to that young adult and giving them all the counseling and comfort that they needed at that time.
And any time you may be listening to this you can go to yourself at any stage of life or any age and just repeat the same process.
Giving comfort,
Giving healing,
Giving support to yourself at any age.
And of course that young adult grew to be the person that you are today.
The person you are today who has grown in so many ways.
The person you are today who has achieved much more than you possibly realize or give yourself credit for.
But there is also a more mature,
More settled and more successful you in the future.
This could be a year from now or five years or ten years.
But it is a more mature,
More settled,
More successful version of you from the future.
And I want that future you to come back to you now,
To the present and give comfort,
Counseling,
Healing,
Words of wisdom to the present version of you right now.
With that now,
That future version of you talking to the present version of you,
Giving you confidence,
Useful advice,
Words of wisdom,
Comfort,
Everything you might possibly need right at this moment and feel how supported you feel.
Notice that you feel you have someone you can really depend on.
And take comfort in knowing that no matter where you are,
Whether you are with other people or by yourself,
You always have that future version of you holding your hand every step of the way for the rest of your life.
And now that future version of you can go back to the future but not without leaving you some useful confidence and advice.
And you have done some wonderful work just now.
You've been very courageous.
Maybe you want to reward yourself and relax a bit more into that wonderful imagination.
Maybe an imagination about your future,
Knowing that you have done some wonderful work today.
And while you drift,
Maybe imagining yourself in the future,
Having achieved what you set out to achieve.
Feeling good.
Feeling relaxed.
And when you open your eyes,
Whether it's in a few moments time or after a lovely sleep,
I want you to know that you will feel fine and safe.
In fact,
You'll feel better than you have felt in a long,
Long while.
Knowing that from now on there is a time and a space for you to just be and to heal and to work with any feelings of discomfort.
And that time and space is whenever you take time out for yourself to relax,
To meditate,
To do whatever it is that means something to you.
You will step into your daily life feeling better and better every day.
You find it easier and easier to cope with whatever comes your way.
Knowing that any time you take time for yourself,
You will achieve as much healing as possible.
Feeling better and better every day.
Every day,
Every moment,
Every second.
And you can open your eyes whenever you wish.
And races.
