My name is Eden and I am a Reiki master teacher,
A meditation guide.
And a licensed counselor.
And today we're going to be doing a 60 minute Reiki session oriented around this idea of integration.
In our physical bodies,
That can feel like digestion.
In our emotional bodies,
It's about how we take in everything we take in and make it ours.
It's discernment.
So whether you need a physical or energetic part of this message,
This is for you.
So go ahead and just let yourself find some comfort here.
Maybe that's laying down in bed,
On the couch,
On a yoga mat.
But just starting to let your body get long,
Wherever it is.
I'm starting to lean into this idea here that we want the body to be long.
But we're ushering it in through relaxation.
Through spaciousness.
So instead of engaging the muscles along the back of the body to pull the head away from the feet,
Can you soften the back body so much so that you gently feel the spine elongating?
You feel the rest of the body come with it.
Taking a few rounds of breath to let the head be fully heavy.
Letting each inhale find a tiny bit of space between your vertebrae.
From crown to root.
Taking as much time here as you need to just visualize that.
Sensing your breath between each vertebrae,
Nourishing this length of the body.
Helping your physiology just settle into this length.
And maybe with this deeper sense of relaxation,
It feels like you need to make a few minor adjustments,
Knowing you can always do so.
And letting yourself take those here or through the rest of our time together.
Letting your autonomy be just as alive here.
As anything I say.
If not more.
And then turning your awareness now to your breath.
Now that the body is a little more relaxed and still,
Can you just focus on noticing the breath?
Where does the breath travel to?
Where does the breath feel like it's avoiding today?
Can you just notice?
No need to.
.
.
Place any judgment or concern or desire to shift on the breath.
What would it be like to just notice?
The trend,
The pattern.
Settling into the idea that noticing is enough.
That at least in this place,
No action is needed.
Being with the truth of yourself is a medicine.
And that's where we rest.
Releasing what we think should be here.
Or what we hope would be here.
What is actually here?
Starting first just with the breath.
This breath.
The breath that's actually right here.
Moving through you now.
And again.
And again.
The breath as this gateway into what is both new and deeply familiar.
And then if we can rest in this felt sense.
.
.
Within us of what is new and familiar.
That's our growth edge.
That's what we want to keep walking towards.
And the more often we can toe that line,
The more naturally we can continue to integrate anything that comes into our field,
With this discernment of what is of you and for you.
And what you'd rather just let pass right on through.
Digesting the world around us.
By making meaning.
Not just through gathering knowledge but through Recognizing how whatever we find,
Whatever knowledge we gather pertains to us in this moment.
And so we anchor back into the breath here.
Our gateway into the present moment,
This breath right here,
Not the last one or the next one,
This breath.
This is where our power lives.
The present moment.
Integration,
Discernment,
Digestion,
All happening in this present moment.
As we continue to let ourselves clarify.
Knowing that we're built for so much flux.
And change.
And then we can find the steadiness in the flux,
In the change.
That's where we can really start to recognize what's of us and for us in each moment.
Letting each moment be new,
Just like each breath.
So just letting all of that soak in or wash over you.
No need to cling to any of those words in the mind.
Can you just let them wash over?
The heart,
The body.
Like a gentle wave or a ball.
Integrating in.
Few more breaths right here.
Softening the body.
Releasing the mind around any words.
Just letting yourself be even more here with the breath now.
Because yes,
Even that shares.
There are pieces of that.
That you can take with you.
And pieces that you might want to put down.
Letting even this be a moment of discernment and integration,
Not because your mind finds the answers or remembers everything that was said,
But just because you let yourself relax.
And through this relaxation.
.
.
Your system naturally discerns.
Deep breath in.
Long breath out.
Taking a few more just like that.
Relaxing any little muscles in the face that have already tensed back up.
Letting the body relax on purpose again.
Letting the muscles just fall open.
Force leaving the conversation in the body.
And knowing that this deep sense of relaxation and this beautiful anchor into the present moment through the breath.
.
.
Are your gateways in?
Into this present moment,
Into this Reiki space.
So just letting yourself settle in here even more.
Knowing too that you'll likely wander off during session into perhaps the to-do list,
A memory.
An emotion,
A visual.
All of that is okay.
Because you're human.
And when you notice,
You've wandered off,
Just gently taking stock of where you went.
Bookmarking it and then bringing yourself back into the present.
By anchoring back into your relaxation,
Your breath.
And even perhaps the music,
The sound of my voice.
Guiding you back into the here and the now,
The place where your power exists,
And the awareness,
The discernment.
And just settling in here even more and even more.
Slowly and gently.
As I just use these next few moments to usher in the Reiki prayers,
Symbols,
Guides.
You are also welcome to invite in any support systems that you have to into our space now.
And there's a few different metaphor visuals just popping up as I tap into the aura.
With this idea of integration,
Of discernment,
Of digestion The first being this kind of visual of like those saloon doors that swing one way and the other.
And right now in the system,
When one swings open,
The other one is swinging closed.
Like instead of working in tandem to be fully open or closed.
One door is always kind of shutting the other one down,
Getting in the way of this doorway being used.
With the space intended.
Making it hard for things to fully pass through.
To know which way to go.
So we're going to work with some of that momentum,
That kind of blockage that exists in the continued change.
That's kind of presenting right through the diaphragm into the upper belly.
And the second visual here is.
.
.
Little lower in the body over that intestinal tract,
That sacral and root,
And it's almost like,
Hmm.
Some ringlets of hair that The ringlets almost want to be separated,
But they do also work well together.
They get to be in this spring-like pattern when they're together.
But they're anchored in different parts of the head.
So even if we do have a head full of beautiful ringlet curls,
They do need to be separate at some point.
Because they're anchored into separate parts of the head.
They need a little bit of separation,
Even if they mirror each other's shape perfectly.
So this integration piece really speaking on You know.
The difference between integration and enmeshment.
That we don't need to bring everything in and make it all fit into this perfect puzzle piece in order for it to be a part of us.
It doesn't need to mirror itself to know that it is of you and for you.
Or go ahead and just take a few rounds of breath.
Into those ideas,
No need to even.
Feel a solution or a path forward or perhaps even an understanding.
We just let these visuals,
These ideas start to have a little breathing room.
So just imagining them over or inside the body,
Maybe you feel them.
And breathing low and slow.
Relaxing any muscles in the face that have already tensed back up.
And then we gently just put those visuals down to be approached.
In a few minutes.
I want to overtly move towards the crown first.
This beautiful potent place where adjustments all throughout the body can happen even just with the focus being on the crown.
Every piece below it integrates up into the crown.
So we start here.
Seeing any little adjustments we can make up at the top of the system can naturally generalize to what is below it.
Into the foundation.
So just letting yourself settle back into your relaxed state.
No need to focus on anything in particular.
As I just move towards the crown.
Receiving its energy and asking what it might mean today.
And the visual here at the crown is these two tall,
Almost church-like windows.
Beautiful,
Inviting light in.
In this deep reciprocity with the world within and beyond.
Just this lens.
Beauty passes through.
And there was this visual of them just being washed clean back and forth.
And that that act of trying to clean the windows smudged them more than they were before.
The idea that the intention can be clear,
But the process.
.
.
Can add a layer of clunkiness to what's really happening,
To your intention.
Adding a hurdle into the integration as you reach for what you desire,
What you're working to obtain,
This end goal.
So there's just an invitation here to consider what processes.
Or getting a little in the way of what you're reaching for and how you're bringing it into your life.
This bridge between intention and integration.
.
.
Is feeling somehow a little bit clunky.
Perhaps this is purely semantics of life,
Maybe it's the way in which you're taking in information,
Trying to solidify it,
Maybe a pathway through which you're reaching for in order to practice what you're learning.
Or maybe a mental hurdle of the mind,
Impostor syndrome,
Or something else that's getting in the way of allowing yourself to integrate what you're taking in.
As fully as your mind really desires.
So just inviting that idea in.
Maybe an answer is already clear to you.
Maybe we just plant the seed.
Of the question.
No wrong way to interact with this here.
But just considering how this bridge between intention and integration has become a little less clear than you might prefer.
And what can you do today,
This week?
To try to clear that up.
To clean this beautiful window so that you can continue to see through it as intended.
Relating to the world within you and beyond you with clarity.
Few rounds of breath here on purpose relaxing the whole physical body.
Sending breath to anywhere where you're picking up on tension still.
And seeing if you can find that spaciousness again.
Good.
And just gently starting to let yourself relax again here.
Letting the mind gently release this focus,
This metaphor,
This idea.
.
.
Trusting it to integrate into your system.
Knowing that we don't need to be constantly ruminating or thinking about or considering something in order for it to integrate well.
And using this space as a quiet moment to let your system practice that.
Putting down this message from the crown for now.
And letting your mind relax more fully again.
Not focused on anything in particular.
Continuing that nice,
Beautiful breath.
And settling in to rest.
And just as I tune into the whole system and how the left and right sides of the body interweave does bring back online that kind of saloon door energy.
One side and then the other opening and closing instead of working in tandem to fully open or fully close the system.
So I want to do two different breath patterns here to start to open the system in this symmetrical way.
First,
Bring your attention to your upper chest.
Starting to notice how the breath shifts in the upper chest.
With each inhale and each exhale.
Can you notice how the shoulders open?
Does it feel like the heart lifts and sinks?
What else can you notice as this upper chest moves in relation to the breath?
Letting this be just a little internal experiment,
Noticing.
What's here today.
As the body receives and lets go of each breath.
No wrong answers,
Just letting that noticing be enough.
For a few more around collecting information.
And now,
No matter what you noticed or what pattern you picked up on in this upper chest with each breath,
Can you start to feel the breath spreading the shoulders out?
A little bit more with each inhale.
The shoulders relaxing to continue to take up that space with the exhale.
So with each inhale,
The shoulders grow a little wider.
Allowing your body to take up more space.
And each exhale you let your physiology settle into that space.
Again,
This might only be discernible to you and that's perfect.
So subtle,
Perhaps even cellular.
The key here being.
.
.
That we want to try.
To invite this new breath pattern in,
This wider shoulders in.
Through relaxing stillness.
And when we ask our body to try out a new breath pattern,
It's very natural.
For different muscles to tense,
To force the breath into these new places.
So just noticing that tendency in your body and seeing if you can relax those muscles that are forcing the breath.
And seeing if you can just ask the breath.
To move in this way,
Letting the shoulders continue to relax as they reach.
All of this possible,
Not through force,
But through space.
Attention.
Asking.
I'm just practicing that here,
Noticing what that's like.
It's okay if it feels a bit strange or unnatural.
With each breath starting to let yourself feel.
.
.
A bit of familiarity in this newness.
Few more breaths right there.
And with your next exhale,
Releasing that breath pattern.
Just noticing where the breath naturally travels to without this invitation.
What's shifted?
Knowing there's no wrong answers and that noticing is enough.
Letting the mind relax again.
No need to focus on anything in particular.
Letting the mind rest.
And we'll usher in this next breath pattern in a moment.
Just moving my attention,
My awareness here down to the mid-body.
Heart,
Diaphragm,
Sacral,
Root chakra.
Tapping in here for a moment.
No need for your attention to shift to anywhere in particular.
Is continuing to be present,
To notice what moves through you.
And as I just tune into this area of the body,
Just sensing a little bit of density in that kind of left hip.
And then in the right area,
Just below the diaphragm,
The right part of that sacral space.
A little higher on that right side than the left.
So we're going to usher in this other breath pattern to just see how that can help and go from there.
So this is now more of an imaginal breath pattern.
So you can let this be purely imaginal or with time you might be able to start to feel the breath.
Moving in this way.
Sensing this link between the mind and the body more overtly.
We're going to imagine that the breath now moves in and out of the body through the soles of the feet.
And so with your next inhale,
Imagining the breath moves in through the soles of the feet and travels up the legs into the belly.
And exhale the air back down and out through the soles of the feet.
Taking many rounds of breath just like that.
For some,
This might be as simple as just inwardly sensing these areas of the body in tandem with the breath.
Rolling the inner eyes up the legs into the belly with each inhale and back down with the exhale.
Perhaps with time you might be able to start to sense the breath moving in this way.
Maybe you feel a spaciousness or a tingling or see colors moving up into the belly through the soles of the feet and back out with each round of breath.
Maybe the felt sense comes deeply online.
Just noticing.
And letting yourself somehow.
Imagine or feel or sense or see the breath moving in this different way.
Ensuring that each inhale and each exhale moves through both legs down now.
But they do join in the belly,
In the diaphragm.
In the ribcage.
At the top of each inhale.
Two packs.
Becoming one.
And then two again as it moves back out.
And perhaps taking another moment to release any tiny little pockets of tension in the belly.
That are still holding back.
As you engage in this breath pattern.
Letting the breath find more space to take up through this relaxation.
Continuing this breath pattern for a few more breaths here,
Relaxing any muscles in the face that are tense.
Opening up to this breath pattern the most fully yet.
Right here.
In through the soles of the feet and up.
And down and out the soles of the feet.
Good.
Two more breaths just like that.
And with that second exhale,
Gently letting that mental focus go.
Letting the breath move in and out as it pleases,
As it wants.
And perhaps you take a few breaths.
Notice anything that feels new.
And anything that is familiar.
Knowing that is integration.
Letting those two pieces of self new and familiar intertwine.
That growth edge of bringing ourselves into this new iteration.
The new and the familiar,
Both as gifts.
And then gently releasing any mental focus here.
As I just take these next few minutes.
Becoming a little quieter,
Moving more overtly into the physical body.
Clearing out those little pockets of density.
Just seeing if there's anything else here in this area of digestion,
Of fire,
Of creation,
Of integration.
That's looking to be supported.
While in this lower mid-body,
The sacral solar plexus root area,
Still a fair amount of unwinding and releasing that wants to continue on and it will.
What it's really also craving is that spacious length we started with.
Just taking up more space,
Letting yourself be a little taller.
Through pure relaxation instead of this forced elongation.
So just circling back to that idea of relaxing the physical body,
Letting the muscles fall away from the bone.
In order to lengthen.
Find more space for this life,
This breath,
This prana to fill up within you.
The more we can allow ourselves to be this vessel for the breath.
The more the breath can really nourish us.
The breath being one more place in which we release but no longer serves and bring in the new,
What does.
This swinging door in and out.
Expansion,
Contraction.
Letting the physical body relax so much that you feel as if you grow an inch or two already.
Right here.
Bye.
Good.
And then we gently move the attention down,
Down,
Down,
Back to the soles of the feet once more.
And here just gently starting to imagine that two beautiful lines of energy move into your body through the soles of the feet.
And these beautiful light lines of energy move up through the shins the knees the thighs the hips and intersect first at the base of the pelvis And again,
In that sacral,
Behind the belly button.
And again in the diaphragm.
Intersecting again in the heart space.
And again at the throat.
And again,
Third eye center,
And then these lines of light travel up and out through the crown.
Where they naturally just dissolve into the world around us.
Dissipated but not disappeared,
Not cut.
Spread out connecting your energy system to all that is beyond and beneath.
Can you let yourself,
Just for a few breaths,
Feel that connection beyond you,
This braid of energy?
Woven into the tapestry within and beyond.
Deep breath in and long breath out.
Letting that visual go when you're ready.
I'm just starting to notice the weight of your body on whatever support system is beneath you again.
And your body as this vessel to this breath.
Sensing how it moves gently.
To accommodate each breath in the way that your body shifts in relation to the floor,
The bed,
The mat.
With each breath.
And then without needing to see,
Gently just sensing yourself getting a little closer.
The walls,
The corners of the room,
The ceiling.
With each inhale as your body takes up more space.
Letting yourself sense that.
Within and beyond.
Knowing there is no rush to return to the day to even begin this integration practice.
Taking a moment to thank yourself for the space and time that you made yourself.
And whenever you're ready to rejoin,
You can gently blink the eyes back open,
Returning to your space more overtly.
Few deep breaths here,
Coming back in.
Beautiful.
Welcome back.
