Hi and welcome to day six of the mindful minute.
This is Laura.
Today I'd like to talk about the alternate nostril breath.
So as you sit comfortably,
I'd like you to take your right hand and place your index and middle fingers on the center of your forehead.
You can turn your gaze downward or close your eyes.
You can place your thumb near the right nostril and the ring finger near the left.
Begin this practice by inhaling and exhaling through both nostrils.
Then close the right nostril with your thumb and inhale on the left.
Closing off the left as you let go and exhale through the right.
Inhale through the right.
Close the right nostril.
Release as you exhale through the left.
Inhale through the left.
Exhale through the right.
Continue this practice going back and forth,
Closing off one nostril as you exhale and then the other.
Continue this practice for another minute or so if that feels good.
It can help calm us,
Balance the right and left hemispheres of our brain and help us relax.
Enjoy and have a wonderful day.
