Today we are going to be working with our sixth chakra.
Third eye.
Intuition.
So we'll start as always.
In a comfortable seat.
Feet on the floor.
Or on a cushion.
And why don't we close our eyes and.
.
.
Just tap into our surroundings.
With your eyes closed,
Do you see anything?
Shapes or patterns or movement.
Or just peace.
Do you hear anything?
In your room.
Outside your window.
Inside your body.
Do you smell or taste?
Anything this morning.
Coffee.
Toothpaste.
How does your body feel this morning in general?
Do you need to stretch anything in particular?
Can you release your shoulders,
Release your neck?
And now notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
Not forcing anything.
Just noticing the in and out.
As it naturally occurs.
Is it slower than you?
Remembered.
Or faster.
Is it shallow or deep?
Does just thinking about it make you.
.
.
Take a deep breath.
And now make your breaths intentionally.
A little bit deeper.
Feeling that cool air come in on the in-breath.
And the warmed air going out on the out-breath.
Today you can use this.
Thich Nhat Hanh anchor of just saying to yourself,
This is the in-breath.
On your in-breath.
And this is the out breath.
As you breathe out.
Let's breathe for a minute or two.
And when the thoughts come in,
Just acknowledge.
That you're thinking.
And go back to your breathing.
So let's bring our attention to our feet.
If you're sitting and your feet are on the floor.
Just try gently pressing your toes into the floor.
And if you're already on the floor.
You can just press your legs and your feet.
Pressing your toes and then pressing your heels.
Feel that steadiness of the ground.
And send that sense of steadiness up your body.
All the way up to your head.
Lengthen the back of your neck.
Soften your jaw.
Let your tongue rest.
At the bottom of your mouth.
And smooth your skin across the forehead.
Become aware of the space between your eyebrows.
This is your third eye.
Sixth chakra.
This is your seat of intuition.
Like your antenna.
This is where you get the best reception.
So let this space just widen and soften.
Try to release any tension.
It's harder to access your.
Intuition when your forehead is gripping.
So just breathing here for a minute.
As always.
When those thoughts come.
They're just thoughts.
Set them aside.
And go back to the breath and the sensation of opening in your third eye.
Again,
Reminding you to relax the jaw.
Relax that spot between your eyebrows.
Keep your neck long.
Now imagine that you're standing in a beautiful valley.
And the sun has just set.
And the sky is a deep indigo blue.
Feel the earth beneath your feet.
And take a deep breath.
Expanding the ribcage,
Just naturally and relaxing.
Into every exhale.
And imagine that with each breath you take,
The sky.
Deepens its color just a little bit.
And as your eyes adjust to this twilight,
Sky.
One star becomes visible.
Not a sky full of stars yet,
Just one.
It doesn't flash or move.
It's just shining.
And that star is your simple inner knowing.
Notice its pull.
And its steadiness.
Let the belly soften.
Let your shoulders drop.
Intuition is less fireworks.
And more like a quiet.
Nod of recognition.
And as you're looking up at the sky,
Know that any clouds that are drifting through our just thoughts.
Or doubts.
And no matter how many of those clouds or how fast they're going.
That star remains steady.
Even in daylight,
The star is there.
You just need to remember to look up.
Remember that those clouds floating by are just thoughts,
Just clouds.
Check in with your jaw.
Your neck,
The skin on your forehead.
Imagine the light of this star.
Reflecting back.
Onto you.
Almost like you're bathing in this light.
Imagine this little indigo light starting at the third eye.
Softening all the little muscles around your eyes.
And moving down.
Through the throat.
Through the heart.
Through the belly.
And all the way down to your feet.
And with each breath.
Can start again.
Breathing in.
Through that third eye and letting that beautiful light.
Move downward.
Through your body.
All the way to the ground.
So.
Although it pains me to say it.
Let's come back into the room.
Feel yourself where you are.
Bring some movement into your body.
Wiggle around and when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Thank you all so much for being here.
So I'll leave you with this.
May you trust what feels steady and calm.
And may you always remember to look up.
