Course,
I woke up this morning to see the beautiful sunshine and.
The song that came into my head was On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.
So I thought we would.
Start off with an intention.
Um.
.
.
To bring clarity.
Because on a clear day.
.
.
You can bring in clarity.
We are going to talk about the sixth chakra today and the sixth chakra is where we cultivate our intuition.
And the sixth chakra is in the third eye area.
Let's start.
Our practice this morning.
With our eyes closed.
And see if you can feel your third eye,
Meaning bringing energy to the space between your eyebrows.
Attention,
Focus,
Warmth.
Whatever word speaks to you.
Feel your third eye.
When your third eye is in balanced.
.
.
You feel more tuned in.
You sense things with ease.
You can feel when you're in the flow and when you're not in the flow.
So this is a really wonderful exercise to just check in with your third eye every once in a while.
Open it up.
And sometimes.
.
.
The third eye can.
Feel a little uncomfortable when you bring energy to it.
It's a very sensitive area.
So.
Um.
.
.
One thing you can visualize is the vent on a pressure cooker.
Like letting some steam out.
If it feels like there's pressure there or if it's uncomfortable.
Or letting some light out as if you were wearing a headlamp.
To be able to feel more comfortable while you're opening this space up.
So from this place,
Let's keeping our eyes closed.
Go into our expanded awareness practice.
And See what you see.
Even with your eyes closed.
Are there colors or shapes,
Shadows?
Or imaginings.
What are you hearing?
In the room,
Outside the room.
Can you use your intuition?
To hear things that.
Are beyond.
What are the other senses that are?
Coming into your awareness,
Taste.
Smell.
Your sense of touch.
Where are your hands right now?
What are they touching?
And where are your feet?
What parts of your body are touching air?
And become aware of what happens to your skin and your clothing as you breathe.
So taking a big breath in.
And a big breath out.
It's not a thing.
How things have to move to accommodate.
That beautiful.
Oxygen-filled product.
So there's a lot going on here where we're breathing,
We're noticing.
Or sensory.
Surroundings.
And we're focusing on.
Some of our attention on our third eye.
As always.
When thoughts come in.
Be patient with them.
Tell them you'll get back to them.
And move back to the breath,
The third eye.
And as I said before,
Sometimes when we bring a lot of attention to the third eye,
It can feel uncomfortable.
It's a very sensitive.
Energy center in the body.
In particular.
One strategy that we can use is to imagine that we're wearing a headlamp.
And that all of that energy is coming out of our head as a light.
So we'll breathe here for a few minutes.
You can breathe in and out.
Like you are accustomed.
Or you can do.
.
.
More of a circular breath.
Breathing up.
From the earth.
To the top of your head.
And bringing the breath around.
The front of the body and back into the earth.
Whichever feels right for you.
If you're doing the circular breath,
When you get to the top of the head,
You can also Imagine that you're breathing out of your third eye.
Opening up the third eye will really helps us to have more clarity.
About our path,
About ourselves.
It's like fine tuning your gut feeling.
And again,
When distracting thoughts come in.
Which they have permission to do.
I can just.
.
.
Reorient yourself.
To the breath.
So I'm going to add.
One more image.
For you to hold.
And it goes back to setting the intention.
For bringing more clarity.
So imagine that you're sitting at the edge.
Of a beautiful body of clear water.
Whether it's an ocean.
Or pond or lake.
Or a river.
And you're sitting by the edge and you're looking into the water.
Connecting with your third eye.
See if through the clarity of the water you get any clarity about yourself.
Sitting patiently.
Breathing.
Looking into the water,
The ripples.
Shimmers.
Whatever your image brings you.
And now when thoughts come in,
That are unwanted or distracting.
You can let them float away.
On the ripples or the tide.
But do pay attention.
To the thoughts that come in here.
Because.
.
.
Your intuition might be telling you something.
So this is where we get to discern.
Whether things that are coming in are actually giving us.
Guidance,
Or taunting us.
And we can send those off.
And this also could just be a beautiful.
Relaxing.
Moment by the water.
No work required.
Let's deepen our breath just for a few breaths.
Breathing deeply in.
And letting it all go.
And again.
Breathing in.
I'm letting it all go.
One more time in.
And let it go.
You can tell your third eye.
Thank you very much.
Thanks.
Back into present time and space.
Wiggle fingers and toes.
Thank you all so much.
Don't leave yet because I just want to say.
.
.
Two things.
One,
I will not be.
Doing circle next week.
So I'll send out an email,
But there will be no circle next week.
And Happy Jazz Fest,
Y'all.
Um.
.
.
Thank you and may your day and your thoughts.
Be very clear today.
