If you fall asleep,
Do not worry.
That is what your body needs right now.
Or if you lose track of my words,
You can choose to come back to them whenever you wish.
This is precious time for yourself and for the new life within you.
To release your stress,
To regain your strength and your vitality and to create inner calm.
This is time to connect deeply with this beautiful life within you.
To create harmony and balance and to continually re-establish a perfect environment for growth and development to take place.
Free of strain,
Free of anxiety and turmoil.
For just this moment,
Quiet,
Peace and complete oneness.
You may utilize this exercise for the first 10 minutes if that is all the time you have or you may continue and complete the relaxation.
Begin to become aware of your breathing.
Breathe in deeply through your nose and slowly breathe out through your mouth.
Breathing has an enormous power to energize,
To heal,
To regenerate your body by toning your nerves and your muscles,
By reducing your blood pressure,
By regulating your heartbeat and cleansing your blood.
It stills your mind and calms your emotion,
Keeping you in glowing vigor.
Deep breathing opens the channels and allows so much more oxygen through your system to reach your baby.
Put your one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen and feel the movement of the breath through your body and into your baby.
If most of the movement is in your chest,
Know that you are carrying tension deep in your body.
Breathe slowly and deeply using the muscles of your abdomen.
As you breathe out,
Let all the tension stored in your body begin to leave you.
With each inhalation,
You are absorbing for yourself and the new life calm energy and vitality.
With each breath out,
You are releasing strain.
Breathe out your tension,
Your worries and your conflicts for just this moment.
Now starting at the top of your head,
Begin to consciously relax the muscles of your body.
Relax your forehead and your face and your jaw.
Relax the muscles of your neck and your shoulders.
A lot of tension is stored here.
Relax your arms and relax your legs.
Feel the wave of relaxation moving through your back muscles.
Allow your stomach muscles to relax so that your breathing stays nice and deep.
As you are becoming more relaxed,
So is your baby feeling the pathways between you,
Easing,
Softening and soothing.
Now you are beginning to use the power of imagery.
Pictures are not thoughts,
They are potent mental pictures that can become translated into your reality.
Imagery is a mental rehearsal to reach a desired goal.
The images become imprinted,
All the while connecting with pathways from your brain to your body and to your baby.
Your goal is to remain calm and to achieve greater energy and well-being.
Your goal is to ensure that a wonderful healthy environment exists within you.
We are using compelling pathways between your brain and your body to reach these goals.
Imagine now and feel a warm bright light above your head.
Allow this light to penetrate through your head,
Down your face,
Behind your eyes,
Warming your neck and your shoulders as it travels into your chest and abdomen,
Into your arms and pelvis and into your legs.
Allow this light to spread down your spinal cord to every nerve in your body.
Allow it to relax all those tense areas.
You may begin to feel a heaviness and a warmth entering you as you become more comfortable,
More calm and tranquil.
Let this light enter your heart,
The source of your pulse and your life force,
The source of your baby's life force.
Let it pump this light around your body,
Through all your vessels,
Opening up any physical or emotional blockage.
Using all your senses,
Feel the warmth,
See the light and hear the movement through the vessels,
The flow through your body.
See and feel this light travelling into your womb,
Through the major vessel feeding and nurturing this miraculous life within you.
Your baby's entire body is bathed in this cocoon of healing,
Nourishing,
Light and love.
Your entire body is now bathed in the same light as it surrounds you in a cocoon,
Relaxing your outer muscles and skin and you feel safe,
At peace and energised.
Now focus on your goal for today or even for the next hour.
Is it to stay calm,
Is it to feel joy,
Is it to resolve a conflict,
Is it to ensure the most ideal and healthy environment for your baby within?
Go through the mental picture now of you being calm,
Spreading joy,
Successfully accomplishing all that you wish.
See the life within you perfectly safe,
Perfectly comfortable,
Moving and growing.
See and feel the affinity between you.
