This is a guided meditation for connecting with your inner motivation to create actionable change,

Also known as getting that dopamine dump online.

As always,

I'd like to invite you to welcome in the healing and soothing evening touch.

Gentle brush across the brow,

Fingertips underneath the cheeks as they are circling your eyes,

Hands moving down from your shoulders to your elbow as though you're giving yourself a nice gentle moving hug.

And finally palm to palm as though you're washing your hands under some nice warm water.

Let's begin with our gentle soothing breath in to a count of four,

Three,

Two,

And one.

Then release to a count of six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Find that nice comfortable space and notice the energy that exists in your core and is holding your spine up and invite your shoulders to gently drop back and down as you continue that healing touch.

Beautiful.

I'd like to invite you to float back across the course of your day,

Your week,

Your month,

Even your year or life and find a time when you felt the experience of purpose and motivation.

And now here's the catch.

This doesn't have to be a big life goal that you're striving towards.

Purpose and motivation can be as simple as having a craving for a certain food and going out and acquiring that food.

For me,

Macaroni and cheese every time.

Find whatever that moment is where you remember your brain going,

I want that.

That is exactly what we're looking for,

This little moment where your brain and your body go,

Yes,

That is the purpose and the motivation we want to link into right here,

Right now.

Once you find that moment,

I invite you to bring it front and center.

Notice what's happening in your mind and your body as you relive that experience.

What are you seeing or hearing?

Is there a color or a temperature related to this energy?

What does this feel like as it hums along inside you as you seek to go get whatever that thing was?

Beautiful.

And as you're moving into deeper relationship with this experience,

Notice if anything shifts in your mind and your body.

Notice if there's a resonance for what this energy feels like inside of you.

There is.

We just forget to pay attention to these little micro experiences.

And does this energy have a shape or a color?

You're noticing the emotion or the feeling of it.

And gently breathe in,

Deepening your connection to this energy of motivation,

Of purpose,

Of drive,

Inviting it to expand and hum even more fully within you.

Invite this energy to sink down into your core,

Into your very beingness.

Notice this capacity for drive and engagement.

Notice that this already exists within you.

And as you continue to deepen your relationship with whatever this experience was that you're reconnected to right here,

Right now,

Invite that energy to start to expand outside of you.

And imagine that it's radiating off of your very beingness,

Inviting it to be expansive,

To be large,

To be broad and energetic.

What would it be like to have this energy in a sphere surrounding you,

Encompassing your being,

Bolts of energy,

Of drive?

And gently breathing in and expanding and connecting more fully to this energy and releasing any blocks that get in your way to really fully embody in this.

And then notice if this energy had a name or if it was a particular emotion or feeling,

What would you call it?

Maybe driven or motivated,

Energetic or curious.

Notice this energetic state,

It's beautifully colored itself.

What is it called?

What does it mean when you're embodying this?

And once you've found that name or that label,

I invite you to quietly or out loud repeat after me,

What if I had more in my life,

Filling the blank in with the experience that you've given the name to?

What if I could call upon this energy whenever I desire?

What if this became a part of my day-to-day life?

What if I welcomed this experience to become deeply embedded in my beingness?

And what if this energy was available whenever I needed it?

I invite you to take in three gentle breaths,

Continuing to expand your relationship with this energy,

Pondering its amazing possibilities,

The capability that you have to link into this,

To connect to it and to invite it to be a fundamental part of your day-to-day life whenever you need it,

Whenever you need to feel motivated,

Driven to call upon your inner purpose to accomplish a task,

No matter how big or how small.

Gently breathing in and exploring those possibilities,

Noticing this energy wrapped around you,

Glowing from within and around,

Vibrant,

Beautiful energy.

And with one final gentle breath in and a slow,

Easy release,

Notice that you carry this energy within you and you can call upon it whenever you would like and invite it to be a part of your world.
