This light reflective meditation offers reminders of how we might find and appreciate joy in our every day life. Joy can be found in the tiniest moments, even when we are not at our best. To open ourselves to be joyful, even fleetingly, is an attitude and a practice. Here you will hear several affirmations to open your heart to joy on a regular basis. The affirmations are written in the form of permissions to yourself, self- blessings if you will, to simply listen to, or to repeat over as you wish. A short and refreshing session.

Welcome to this short reflection on joy,

The joyful spirit,

With me,

Jan Russell.

Moments of joy are so precious,

So uplifting.

And we can choose to create more joy in our lives through our attention and reflection.

Because joy becomes us,

And we can become joyous.

Joy is a liberation,

A letting go.

Joy is a sharing,

A gift,

In whichever way you choose.

So today,

May you share with me these following affirmations to yourself.

May you find joy in some way in every day.

May you feel joy within your soul.

May you notice joy in your body,

A little tickle of pleasure perhaps.

May you know that joy lies within,

And that you can discover its presence.

May you,

In joy,

Embrace peace and contentment.

May you be brave enough to allow your cup to overflow with joy.

May you believe in your joy.

May you know the joy of giving.

May you know the joy of acceptance and receiving.

May you practice being joyful.

May you choose joy,

Because joy becomes you,

And you can become joy.

May you go well.
