Into a comfortable position either seated or lying down make sure in a place you won't be disturbed for the next five minutes.

Try and get your back and spine and neck as straight as possible.

Just start with just three nice long deep breaths breathing in for a count of four and out for a count of six.

Do a few more like this nice beautiful slow breaths and with each out breath just notice your body feeling more and more relaxed.

Just now for a moment focus on what you can hear the sounds close by maybe in the room the sounds further away and now with your eyes open or shut notice what you can see if your eyes are closed you might see colors or particular shades just notice them and notice now what you can feel can you feel on your skin you feel the weight of where you're sitting lying down maybe the ground beneath your feet notice now what you can smell or if there's any sensation in the nose anything at all and now notice what you can taste if there's any sensation in the mouth notice what you're thinking there are any thoughts just notice them let them go if their cars just passing outside the window notice how you feel do you feel relaxed or any tension now just for a few seconds just see if you can focus on your breath just a simple breath flowing in and out of your nostrils the feeling of the air against your nose as it goes in and goes out so you can see that we can notice anything and everything what we can see hear touch smell taste think feel we can choose to focus on just one part if we want or to take it all in because you were the master you're in control now when you're ready just feel yourself back in your surroundings you can open your eyes and take a big stretch if you need
