Begin by sitting comfortably with your feet grounding into the floor and your bottom grounding into the seat beneath you.

From this place of gentle support,

Take several full deep breaths,

Bringing your awareness to your root chakra,

The place where your bottom meets the seat.

On the next inhalation,

Tightening the muscles in your buttocks,

Then releasing on the next exhalation,

Grounding more deeply into your body.

With each inhalation and each exhalation,

Relaxing even more deeply,

Grounding down more deeply into the supportive energy of the earth,

Feeling your subtle physical presence,

Relaxing now even more deeply,

Allowing yourself to drop in fully into your body,

Continuing your deep,

Full breathing,

Relaxing deeper still.

Now in the soft gaze of your mind's eye,

Imagine a chord from the base of your spine connecting you down into the ground,

Drawing you more deeply into the energy of the earth.

Just like the roots of a tree,

This is your grounding chord.

Feeling this downward energy with ease,

You are nourished by the support of the earth.

From this place of fluid stability,

Imagine the energy traveling up through the earth,

Up through your feet,

Legs,

And pelvis,

Up through your solar plexus and heart,

Continuing the flow of energy up through your throat and third eye,

And straight up through the crown of your head,

Feeling the energy gently pulsing upward,

Flowing steadily with ease,

Continuing with this nice steady flow,

Reverse direction of the energy downward as you imagine the energy of the heavens flowing down through the top of your head,

Down through your third eye,

Down through your throat and heart,

Down through your solar plexus and belly,

Down through your root and right down through your grounding chord,

Back into the earth.

Reverse direction again,

Moving upward and downward through your energy centers in an effortless flow,

Guided by your breath,

Creating a powerful support between heaven and earth.

Continue in this way for several more full,

Deep breaths.

Gently bring your awareness to any place in your body where the energy feels uncomfortable or stuck,

Breathing a little more deeply into this area,

Giving it the loving support of your attentive breath.

Continue with a few deep breaths,

Offering the stuck energy a bit more space to soften and expand.

In your mind's voice,

Tell the stuck energy that you accept it just as it is.

Take several deep cleansing breaths,

Feeling the expansion you've created,

Resting into this peaceful flow of your dynamic energy.

Knowing that you can access this powerful foundation of your divine presence anytime.

As you begin to feel ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to your physical presence,

Feeling peaceful and relaxed.

Bring your awareness back to the room,

Becoming more awake.

Slowly bring your awareness to your eyes,

Still keeping them soft.

And on the next exhalation,

Open your eyes,

Feeling alert and vibrant.
