Alright my loves,
Shall we do it?
Let's get comfortable and.
.
.
Let's just begin with closing our eyes.
Gently gently.
Making sure that your eyelids are closed.
Resting gently.
Yeah,
We have 30 minutes together to recuperate,
Rejuvenate.
I just wanted to say to you that I'm so glad that you're here.
Today we continue our journey through the natural energies of the Dao.
Last time we began with fire.
The energy of courage,
Clarity and illumination.
Today,
We move into something very,
Very different.
That's the energy of nourishment,
Of belonging,
Of self-worth.
Earth is the ground beneath us.
The energy that supports life.
The energy that reminds us that we don't only need to grow.
And achieve and move forward now.
We all serve.
Need to be nice.
We need to feel supported.
We need somewhere within ourselves that feels safe.
Like home.
So let's do that this morning.
I want you to.
.
.
To notice your position,
Make sure that you're comfortable if you're seated.
Place both feet comfortably on the floor.
Allow your hands to rest easily on your thighs.
If you've chosen to meditate lying down,
Let your legs naturally settle.
Allow your hands to rest gently.
By your sides.
Just feel.
There's nowhere else.
You need to be for the short time that we will be together.
Nothing you need to hold on to.
There's nothing that you need to achieve.
Your eyelids are resting gently there.
They're not squeezed shut,
Just soft,
Resting.
The muscles around your eyes are softening.
Your forehead is becoming quiet.
It's becoming relaxed.
Let's imagine that relaxation spreading gently across your scalp and neck.
Over the crown of your head,
Down the back of your head.
Of your head and your neck.
Beautiful softness.
They do do soften.
Perhaps give it a little tap if that helps.
Very relaxed jaw.
Your shoulders drop away from your ears.
And now friends,
Let's take a slow and comfortable breath.
Breathing in.
And breathing out gently.
And once again,
A lovely quiet breath at your own pace.
And then release.
Let go,
Let go.
Allow yourself to become aware of the support beneath you,
The floor.
Beneath your feet or the surface.
Beneath your body.
Comfortable.
A line?
Gentle.
And you,
Friend,
Are supported.
And you are here,
And we are here.
Are here together.
And for these.
.
.
Few minutes.
Simply.
Be present.
And today rather than traveling anywhere in the imagination.
We're going to begin.
Exactly where we are.
With the support that is already here.
If you're seated,
Become aware of the soles of your feet.
Notice the contact between your feet and the floor.
Notice the weight of your body being held by the chair.
If you're lying down,
Notice the places where your body makes contact with the surface beneath you.
Your heel.
Your legs,
Your back.
Shoulders.
Back of your head.
You know,
The beautiful thing is that there is nothing you need to do.
To make the ground support you.
Simply supports you.
Way you are.
You don't have to deserve it.
You don't have to work for it.
And you don't have to prove.
Anything.
The ground is simply there.
Earth Energy Study.
Reliable.
Nourishing.
Receiving.
Your presence,
Your way.
And for a few moments.
See what it feels like to allow yourself.
To be supported.
Not to hold yourself quite so tightly,
Not to carry you.
Everything.
Just for now.
VetOil.
Carey's son.
Off the plate.
And now bring your attention again to your feet if you're seated.
Or simply to the lower part of your body if you are lying down.
Imagine that beneath you is written.
Dark and dead.
Nourishing.
Holding you.
You don't need to see this clearly.
Just sense it,
Don't feel it.
Receive it.
Imagine that from the soles of your feet or from the places where your body meets the ground,
The gentle roots begin to extend down.
Not deep and dramatic roots.
Just enough to give you a sense of.
.
.
Connection.
Reaching into steady earth.
And with each.
.
.
Breath out.
Feel yourself becoming a little more grounded.
Perhaps a little more settled.
Perhaps a little more connected.
A little more present in your own body,
Aware.
And you know,
Uh.
.
.
It doesn't hurry.
It doesn't ask a seed to become a tree overnight.
Bye.
That it does provide what is needed.
It does allow growth.
To happen in its own time.
Beautiful,
Nourishing.
And that's it.
And now I'd like to offer you a question.
Not something to analyze,
But just.
.
.
Something to notice,
Friend.
What?
Nourishes you.
What nourishes you?
Not what is good for you because someone says it should be.
Not what looks nourishing from the outside,
But friend,
What genuine lean.
Restores you.
You know,
It might be being with someone that you love.
Perhaps it's time alone.
Maybe it's nature or music or food made with care.
WONDERFUL!
More heating!
Friend.
Laugh to sleep.
Conversation with someone that you love.
What?
Nourishes you.
Notice what's coming.
Allow it to come.
Perhaps you could also notice whether nourishment is something you allow yourself freely.
Or is it something you tend to postpone?
Waiting until the work is finished,
Or waiting until everyone else is taken care of,
Or waiting until you've earned it.
Waiting.
You know,
Earth,
It offers a different possibility.
Nourishment is not a reward for life.
Nourishment is part of life.
What would change,
Friend?
If you treated nourishment as something essential.
Rather than optional.
What would change?
If it feels comfortable,
Take one hand now and place it gently over your heart.
Perhaps the other one over your abdomen.
No pressure,
Just feel the warmth.
Make the contact.
And feel your own hands resting there.
And imagine friend,
Just for a moment,
That you are holding yourself with the same tenderness.
That you might offer someone that you deeply,
Deeply love.
No fixing.
They're correcting.
No encouragement to do better.
Just hold him.
Just.
.
.
Cherishing.
Just receiving nourishment.
Earth,
It reminds us that life flourishes when it is nourished.
And it is cherished.
And that,
Most certainly.
And clear to you.
So breathe in gently.
And as you breathe out,
Silently say to yourself,
I am?
Allow.
To receive care.
And once again,
A gentle breath in.
And as you exhale,
I am.
Allow to receive care.
And one more time,
Just in your own way.
Gentle breath in.
Gentle exhale.
Notice what happens when you hear those words.
You don't need to force yourself to believe anything.
Now this.
And come back to that sense of earth energy.
Beneath you.
Supporting.
Nourishing there for you to receive.
And there is another quality of Earth energy and that is.
.
.
Belonging.
No belonging is not the same as fitting in.
Fitting in can sometimes ask us to change ourselves to be more acceptable,
More convenient.
Ourself.
Will be longing.
Different.
Belonging says.
There is room for me here.
Just Desire.
And so friend,
Quietly ask yourself,
Where do I feel most at home?
In myself.
Perhaps it's with certain people,
Or.
.
.
Doing certain work or.
.
.
Perhaps in nature or in stillness.
Helps when you're creating.
Perhaps.
When you are simply not.
Pretending.
Notice where you feel most like yourself.
And then ask.
What would help me live?
From that place.
A little more often.
What would help me live?
From that place.
A little more often.
You don't need a full and complete answer even.
A small awareness is enough.
And earth energy,
It also invites us into self-worth.
No,
That is not self-importance and that is not proving our value,
But it is.
Something quieter.
Self-worth.
Simple understanding that your needs matter too.
That rest.
Is important.
That nourishment matters.
That your inner life.
Mad.
That you don't become worthy because of what you accomplish.
You begin from worth.
And so friend,
Feel the support beneath you once more.
And quietly allow these words to settle.
I belong.
In my own.
And again.
I belong.
In my own life.
Not at the edge of it.
Not.
Off to everyone else.
Within it.
And now,
Let's gently carry Earth energy into the week ahead.
For today,
Our intention is today.
I choose.
It's a narrow field.
What matters?
And breathe with that intention,
Breathing in.
I receive support.
And breathing out.
I allow myself to be nourished.
And breathing in again.
I receive support.
And breathing out.
I allow.
Myself to be nourished.
And one more time,
Quietly on your own.
Now let the image of root soften.
You don't need to hold on to anything.
The support remains beneath you.
Become aware again of your breathing.
Your hands,
Your feet.
Places where your body meets the surface beneath you.
And notice your quiet forehead,
Your relaxed scalp.
The softness around your eyes.
And gently move your fingers and perhaps your shoulders.
And earth,
It reminds us that growth doesn't happen through effort alone.
We also grow through nourishment.
Through support,
Through being cherished.
Through knowing that we belong.
And sometime today,
Perhaps ask yourself,
What would it mean?
Cherish myself.
Today.
What would it mean to cherish?
Myself.
And let the answer be simple.
Nourishes,
Support.
And friends,
All is well and we are complete.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
I like to wrap my hands together after meditation.
Activate the energy.
From the palms of my hands.
