Reentering this "new" world can be filled with uncertainty and hesitation as we have been in isolation from other people for quite some time. In these first days, we may be in a hyper-alert state, and things may appear more intense to us. While we go back to engage in old routines, we may be challenged as to the pace. This meditation invites you to relax while walking in your own shoes, not others, so you may go a little more confidently and with forgiveness, as you get on with your day.

Take a comfortable seat.

As you invite the breath in,

Let it come in,

Filling your lungs,

Letting go,

Relaxing,

Breathing in the new day as you let go of yesterday,

Breathe in at your own pace.

This moment let go of preconceived ideas.

They say one should walk a mile before they could judge another person,

Walk a mile in their shoes.

See yourself getting up and going out in your shoes,

Going to the door,

Opening it.

Maybe the light is a little brighter than what you're used to,

A little different the air.

Give yourself a moment to adjust and just breathe in this moment.

Let go of any fears,

Taking a step out,

Being mindful of your walking,

Walking on this earth.

Maybe it's the first time you're walking out in a long time to go to work or go see someone.

Just breathe in this new moment and let go of any fears,

Keeping your head light,

The connection to the heavens as you walk grounded in the earth,

Breathing in and letting go of any anxiety as you step forward,

Join others,

Others who probably have the same hesitations,

The same hidden fears.

Go easy,

Relax,

Let go,

Feel a little lighter in your step,

Feeling a little more in the flow.

See yourself eyes open,

Breathing in the air with a little smile on your face as you step further into this new world.

Breathe in,

Letting go,

Stepping further,

Feeling a little lighter.

Enjoy this moment,

This time of newness.

You probably had a long time to reflect on things and everything feels a little strange.

Allow yourself to be a little uncomfortable.

Give yourself time to adjust.

We're all adjusting.

But walk in your shoes out into this world.

Relax.

Coming back,

Feeling a little lighter,

A little more strangely confident that you can do this,

You've got it.

You're a part of humanity.

So,

Go easy,

Be kind.
