Summer solstice,
This day has finally arrived,
The longest day of the year.
A day when we celebrate the energy of the sun and its creative force.
As you sit there or walk along,
Feel the energy of the sun coming into you,
Almost like it's coming into your third eye,
The space between the eyebrows.
Feel this energy coming into you,
Flooding your mind perhaps with thoughts of past memories,
Of fun summers,
Times you spent with family,
Friends,
Or perhaps it was a solo walk through a park or by the beach.
Breathing in that beautiful oxygen,
Feel yourself filled with this light energy,
This creative spark within you rushing to every part of your body.
While simultaneously relaxing you,
Allowing you to let go.
As you breathe at your own pace,
Feel this special time of year.
It's almost like stolen time,
To be able to linger a little longer in the light of day and do those activities that fill our souls.
Perhaps just to stay outside and watch the beauty a little longer,
Hear the birds,
The breezes at night right before the sun sets,
And be thankful for this moment of renewal.
Breathing in all the possibility and letting go of any fears,
Hesitations,
Pain.
And as you take in another breath,
Breathing in this beautiful oxygen,
Letting yourself go a little bit more,
Find yourself with a little smile coming on your face and able to face this day in a new open way as if it's the first time you're opening your eyes and see the beauty around you.
Look for the small things.
Feel the gratitude in your heart for being here in this moment.
And if you can,
Send that love out to someone who might need it,
But make sure to keep that love for yourself.
Hold it in your heart.
Feel the sun in your mind's eye.
And breathe a sigh of relief that it's here for a long time today.
And be grateful.
If you want to linger a little longer,
You can.
But if you gotta go,
Just come back at your own pace,
Feeling your breath,
Feeling the gratitude in your heart.
And slowly feel your fingers,
Your toes,
And open your eyes to the possibility this day holds for you.
Be well.
Enjoy this beautiful day.
This solstice,
This summer solstice,
The longest day of the year.
Whatever you do,
Don't panic.
Don't panic.
Don't panic.
Have a beautiful day unless you have other plans.
Namaste.
