Words shape our inner world, especially the ones we’ve unknowingly agreed to. This meditation invites you to gently un-weave the false beliefs you’ve taken on and make new agreements rooted in truth. Inspired by the first of The Four Agreements, “Be Impeccable with Your Word,” this journey brings you home to your inner clarity, self-trust, and freedom. Come and realign with the words that truly belong to you.

Hi,

I'm Diana.

I want to welcome you to this meditation.

Seek to know the truth.

Begin by finding a place where you can be alone for the duration of this meditation.

A place where you can put your device down and have some earphones in or on.

A place where you can sit comfortably with your back supported and your feet flat on the floor.

Or you can decide to put your feet up when you so desire.

When you prefer to do so,

You can also choose to lay down.

But ideally in a place where you do not normally sleep,

So that you can stay awake for the duration of this meditation.

Make sure that you stay warm during this meditation,

So maybe use a blanket to cover yourself when that's needed.

Please relax as much as you can and let my voice guide you through this meditation.

Let your hands rest gently,

Perhaps one on your heart and the other on your belly.

Take a long,

Deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

And again,

Breathing in deeply and exhaling slowly.

Allow your body to begin to soften.

Allow your shoulders to drop and your jaw to loosen.

Let your belly rise and fall gently with each breath.

Let the rhythm of your breath guide you.

Let the world fade back.

You are here,

Right now,

In this present moment.

Let's begin this time together with a quiet invitation.

I seek to know the truth.

I am open to release what no longer serves.

I am willing to see clearly.

Let's begin by becoming aware of words.

Those we've spoken and those we've heard.

Every opinion,

Every belief we've absorbed has had the power to shape us.

Think of a time,

Recent or distant,

When someone's words left a mark.

They may have said,

You're too much.

Or,

You'll never succeed.

Or maybe,

You always get it wrong.

Or even,

You're not good enough.

Or perhaps,

They said something subtler.

You're the strong one.

Or,

You don't need help.

And maybe,

You're the responsible one.

Or,

You should know better.

Feel how those words settled into you.

They may have been spoken once,

Yet repeated inside your mind countless times.

Breathe.

When you hear an opinion and believe it,

You make an agreement.

You didn't ask for these beliefs,

Yet they became part of your inner world.

They became the lens through which you saw yourself.

But today,

You're here to choose again.

Only truth has the power to set you free.

And now,

Invite your awareness to come inward,

To look inside.

Let your breath guide you to a memory,

A feeling,

Or a belief that no longer fits.

Don't analyse it,

Just notice.

Trust what comes up.

You might hear a phrase in your mind.

Something critical.

Something limiting.

Or,

Something shaming.

Something you've repeated to yourself,

As if it were true.

Allow it to rise without judgement.

You may whisper to yourself.

I see this.

I once believed this.

Visualise this old belief as an old thread.

Tangled and grey.

Woven through your heart.

And with every gentle breath,

Imagine you're unthreading it.

Unravelling it.

You are freeing yourself.

There's no rush.

Just breathe.

Just release.

This is not my truth.

I release it now.

And now,

Place your attention in the space that's been cleared.

There's now openness.

A fertile space within you,

Ready for something new.

Let a new truth rise up.

Not one given to you by the outside world.

But one that's been quietly waiting inside.

Maybe this is,

I am worthy.

Or,

I am safe to be seen.

Or perhaps,

I am allowed to ask for help.

Or,

I am whole,

Even in my imperfections.

Whatever comes up for you,

Let it arise naturally.

You will know it by the way it feels.

It won't feel rushed or allowed.

It will feel sure.

Breathe that truth into your heart.

Feel it begin to settle into the space you've made.

Let it weave into your being.

This is my truth.

I choose it now.

I make a new agreement.

One rooted in love and clarity.

Repeat the truth softly to yourself.

And now bring awareness to your body.

How does this truth feel in your chest?

How does it feel in your belly?

And how does it feel in your spine?

Let it move through your cells.

Visualize it as a golden light.

Beginning in your heart and spreading outward.

Each breath strengthens the agreement.

I speak truth to myself.

I speak truth to others.

I seek to know.

Let this become an embodied vow.

Let it ripple through time.

Healing the old and anchoring the new.

And when you feel ready,

Start to gently come back to the here and now.

Come back to the room.

Into your body.

Into your consciousness.

Your awareness.

And into your mind.

Take your space into this world back.

As you are coming back into the present moment,

Let yourself explore and say yes to the emotions that will continue to amplify.

The emotions of joy,

Peace and of relaxation.

During the rest of your day and the time to come.

Know that you can decide to continue to feel this way.

Take a deep breath in.

And let go when you are ready.

While keeping your eyes closed,

Notice the sounds around you.

Notice how your body feels.

Feel the surface you're sitting or lying on under your body.

Feel the surface your feet are on.

Feel your clothing on your body.

Gently circle your head from side to side.

Becoming more and more present.

And take another deep breath in and let go when you're ready.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Fully coming back to the present moment.

Stay seated for a bit more time.

Look around the room and notice a few things around you.

Take a final moment to place your hand on your heart and repeat once more.

I seek to know the truth.

I no longer hold what was never mine.

I choose to live in truth.

Let this truth walk with you throughout your day.

Let your words reflect the light you now hold inside.

You might wish to journal after this meditation.

Here are a few things you could journal on.

What false belief or agreement did I recognize today?

Or what truth emerged in its place?

And also,

How can I honor this truth in my words this week?

And then I would like to thank you for joining me today and I wish you a wonderful rest of your day.
