Welcome to Day 1 of Insight Timerβs 7-Day Inner Peace Challenge. Today we will join davidji to unlock peace that is resting in our physical and energy bodies, waiting to be uncovered. Through the tools of body scan and visualization, you will identify and connect to the body parts that need nurturing. You are pulsating stardust. This practice is your reminder to celebrate this stardust existence, turning the embodied consciousness of our being into love, into healing power.

Hello,
This is David G.
With Insight Timer and welcome to the Inner Peace Challenge.
I am truly thrilled that we get to spend a week together,
Flowing our attention on inner peace,
Tranquility,
Healing,
Love,
Equanimity,
And calming the turbulent waters inside of us.
There's no better time than right now to deeply connect to our inner peace and flow it out into the world.
Over these seven days together,
We will explore how to heal,
Awaken,
And cultivate inner peace in every aspect of your life.
We will awaken peace in our body,
Our mind,
Our speech,
And our heart.
We will make peace with the past and with the future.
And we will set a trajectory of being peace as we walk through the world.
The more you engage each day of this journey,
The more peace you will feel in your life,
And the deeper you will go into your healing.
If you show up every day,
By the end of our seven days together,
You will embody peace physically,
Emotionally,
Energetically,
In all your interactions with others,
And deep within your soul.
Each day,
I'll share a peace teaching,
And together we'll dive in and explore through inner reflection and meditation,
And then at the end,
I'll share a peace practice,
A takeaway for you to truly actualize peace in each moment as you move throughout your life.
Living the inner peace journey each day will reinforce these teachings into your words,
Your thoughts,
And your deeds.
This is how we turn states of being,
States of mind,
Into deeply embedded character traits.
This is how we turn beautiful experiences into who we become,
Etched into us for eternity.

We transform the world by transforming ourselves,

So let's begin with day one.
Today we begin our inner peace journey with peace in your body.
So settle in and take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in with me,
And let that go.
Let's do that one more time,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
And gently release it,
And allow the journey to unfold.
Our world was created at the heart of a star,
A supernova,
Which exploded,
Showering the galaxy with stardust,
Creating our earth,
Creating all life forms,
Creating every plant,
Rock,
Animal,
Ocean,
And human.
Whether you call that God,
Or the divine,
Or science,
Or Lord Brahma simply taking an example,
One thing cannot be disputed,
You are stardust.
You are stardust breathing stardust.
Your heart is stardust beating stardust.
Your ears are stardust listening to stardust.
Your brain is stardust thinking stardust.
And every cell in your body is stardust,
Pulsing stardust,
Co-creating your next moment.
An ancient Sanskrit teaching tells us,
Yata pinde tat brahmandi,
As is the cosmic body,
So is the personal body.
We can translate this even more expansively as,
You are not in the universe,
The universe is in you,
The whole universe rests inside your body.
Infinite stardust is bursting within each of your 30 trillion cells.
When we connect to the present moment,
We honor and celebrate our stardust existence.
When we are aligned,
Balanced,
And in flow,
We abide in our true stardust nature,
Which is pure unbounded consciousness sealed in this flesh casing for the span of a lifetime.
You are embodied consciousness,
Here to manifest this stardust into love,
Into healing,
Into connection,
Into happiness,
Into good acts,
Into lifting others up through your words and actions.
You are peace,
Rippling peace into every moment.
And we do this by practicing self-kindness,
Self-compassion,
Self-forgiveness,
And self-love.
Your magnificent stardust body contains the same stardust elements as every element on the earth,
Every other human and animal.
That stardust is in the oceans,
The deserts,
The mountains.
It's in the valleys,
The forests,
The jungles,
And the vast fields.
It's in the winds that whisper and blow across continents and through the streets of your town.
And it also moves through you with each breath you take,
With each pulse of your heart,
Bathing your brain,
Washing your organs,
Cleansing your cells,
Nourishing your skin,
Your hair,
Your eyes,
Your muscles,
Your joints,
Your bones,
Your nerves,
And every fiber of your being.
So how do we unlock this inner peace resting in our physical and energy bodies,
Waiting for us to uncover it?
Let's explore.
We'll start by connecting to our physical body.
So let's settle in,
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in with me,
And ever so gently let that go.
And begin to notice the breath as it comes into you,
And feel it as it flows back out,
Just witnessing the universe breathing you.
And now let's scan our physical body.
We'll start with the front body,
Slowly from your toes,
Moving up through your feet,
Up through the front of your legs,
Stay with me here,
Moving to your shins,
Your knees,
Your thighs,
Your hips,
Into your pelvis,
Higher up to your lower belly,
Your solar plexus,
Your chest,
Your lungs,
Your heart,
And move right up to your shoulders.
And let's scan our back body,
Moving up from our heels,
Ankles,
Calves,
Hamstrings,
Your tush.
Feel free to move up your spine,
From the tip of your tailbone,
Tracing each vertebrae,
Each disc,
As you move up your middle back,
Your upper back,
To your shoulders.
And now scan your arms from your shoulders to your fingers,
And from your fingers back up to your neck,
Into your throat,
Your chin,
Your face,
Your cheeks,
Your mouth,
Nose,
Ears,
Your eyes,
Your forehead,
Your scalp,
And the back of your head.
We just scanned our entire bodies.
And now let's do it again.
But this time,
As you scan,
Simply pay attention to any pain,
Constriction,
Or irritation that you come across.
There may be some energetic turbulence in a particular body part.
Simply identify it as you scan.
Perhaps there's been an ache,
Or wound,
Or a scar in your physical body that you have cursed,
Or a self-judgment about some aspect of your body that you have blamed at times.
Maybe you've even sent ill will to it.
Take your time right now as you scan and identify that space and drift your attention to it.
It may hurt to even go there,
But don't resist.
Go there now.
You're safe.
I'm right here with you.
And if you can,
Rest your fingertips on that space and connect to it.
Everybody has a space that could use some relief,
Some release,
Some healing.
As the great sage Leonard Cohen said in his song Anthem,
Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything.
That's how the light gets in.
So go to that space right now and rest your fingertips or hands on it.
Nobody may get emotional from this,
But just connect.
And now envision a pinpoint of light in that space.
See it if that's comfortable.
And breathe into that pinpoint of light and allow healing to come into that space.
Breathe it in and let it go.
Let's do that again.
Long slow deep breath into that space.
Feel that healing come in.
And as you exhale,
Feel the discomfort lift off of you.
And as you breathe,
With each breath in,
Allow that healing pinpoint of light to expand slowly and gently into a ball of healing light to soothe that space.
And with each breath out,
Release any tension in that space.
See that healing ball of light soothing you.
Healing you.
Comforting you.
And this would be the perfect moment to send kindness to that space.
Breathe in kindness into that ball of healing light.
And as you exhale,
Let go of any harsh judgment.
Simply feel the healing.
It starts small and then expands.
With each breath,
Effortlessly send kindness to that space.
Send nourishment to that space.
With each exhale,
Feel some release,
Some relief.
Simply allow the healing to move into that place.
This place that perhaps you have not sent kindness to before,
But now you know how.
Now you feel the healing,
The wholeness of that space.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath into that space.
And as you exhale,
Relax it and take another long,
Slow,
Deep breath into that space.
And release whatever does not serve you.
One more time.
Breathe it in.
And relax.
Breathe in that healing light,
That kindness,
That soothing.
And release.
Now when it feels comfortable,
You can ever so gently open your eyes.
This is how we bring peace into our bodies,
Reminding our bodies of their perfection,
Of their wholeness,
Of the beauty of treating every single body part with kindness.
Be gentle with yourself today.
Let's flow into our peace practice.
Let's dedicate some time today to write a love poem or a love letter to your body.
Don't hold back.
It's your oldest and most intimate friend.
You've watched it grow and develop and mature over the years.
Your body has been there through every twist and turn of your life.
So don't forget to adore the part of your body that could use the most healing.
And ask yourself,
And perhaps it's different every day,
Where on my physical body could I use the most healing?
Just for today?
Perhaps just right now?
And allow your body's inner wisdom to answer,
And then do the practice that we just shared together,
Allowing healing light to come into that space.
