Hello and welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name is Darius,
And I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together,
Taking longer,
Deeper breaths,
Imagining new,
Fresh creative energy coming into your body with each inhale.
And with each exhale,
We are letting go of anything you no longer need to carry.
Breathing in and out,
In and out,
Allowing a gentle softness to work its way from the top of your head all the way down,
Down,
Down,
Down to the bottoms of your feet,
Softening your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your neck,
Softening down your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your forearms all the way down to the tips of your fingers.
Continue taking deep,
Refreshing breaths.
Continue gently letting go with your exhale.
And maybe you have a little bit of sound you want to make.
Let's try it together.
Breathing in,
Making some noise with our exhales.
Just letting go,
Allowing that yummy softness to work its way down your chest,
Your ribs,
Your torso,
Your hips,
Your back,
Your pelvic region.
Breathing into your thighs,
Your knees,
Your shins,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down to your feet.
Let's take another deep breath here together.
Breathing in,
Hold at the top of your inhale,
Big exhale out,
Allowing pleasure to work its way into your body.
It could be subtle,
It could be the breeze against your skin,
It could be the vibration of your breath against your lungs,
Your throat.
You can try a gentle sway,
Allowing your body to move or not move in any way that feels pleasurable,
Feels easy.
Softening your jaw,
And you'll know if you're in your headspace because you can feel your forehead crunching.
We just bring softness,
Hello mind,
Hello you beautiful mind,
Hello you active mind trying to figure it all out.
Sending our mind some love,
I love you mind,
Oh my gosh,
I love you so much.
Deep breath,
Big exhale out.
Every time I take deep breaths,
My joy,
It's right there,
My pleasure,
It's right there.
I have worked very hard to free my joy,
I have worked very hard to notice the upper limit I place on my joy,
On my pleasure,
And to consciously,
Intentionally,
Lovingly remove that limit,
And let my joy,
My pleasure,
Maybe you have no upper limit on your joy,
Maybe it can hit 10 out of 10,
Or 12 out of 10,
Or 100 out of 10,
And maybe you'd like to practice with me,
Just stepping into 1%,
2% more joy,
More pleasure.
Let's take a deep breath,
Give it a try.
Breathing in,
Hold at the top of your breath,
And I want you to imagine your heart is smiling,
Smiling,
Smiling,
Letting it go.
Yes,
Pleasure,
Joy,
Play.
Just taking a moment to feel our bodies,
Feel what's alive here now.
And if you're open to it,
I'd like to invite you to place one hand on your heart,
One hand just above your belly button,
Holding ourselves,
Loving ourselves,
Reminding ourselves,
I got you.
I'm here with you,
I love you,
I believe in you.
And if that feels like a stretch for you,
That's okay,
You can start with,
I'm here with you.
A message to our heart,
A message to our body.
I'm here with you.
You can place your hands back down or leave them where they are.
Continuing to take long,
Deep breaths,
New energy in,
New guidance,
New love and support in.
Gently,
Easefully letting go,
Letting go of anything that no longer serves you,
Just letting it go with your exhale.
We are clearing,
We are opening our channels.
We are clearing,

Let's take a nice deep breath here,
Big exhale out,
Clearing,
Opening channels.
Inviting all of the negative energy out of your body,
Inviting more joy,
Inviting more pleasure.
I'm gonna give you a moment here just to feel what's alive when you clear,
When you open,
When you invite in more pleasure,
More joy.
What does that feel like on a physical level?
What do you notice in your body here?
Is there anything that delights you,
That surprises you?
As you take deep,
Long breaths and maybe make some noise with your exhale,
What do you notice about pleasure,
About joy,
About joy,
About pleasure?
There are no right or wrong answers here.
Be gentle with yourself,
Allow yourself to stay curious and just explore.
I notice there's a breeze against my forearms,
So subtle,
But when I slow down and breathe and bring my awareness to pleasure and joy,
It's right there.
So nice,
So simple,
So accessible.
Have I been walking around with this pleasure and joy available to me all this time?
Is there more pleasure,
More joy?

There are no wrong answers,
