Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and our meditation practice today will be on the theme of helping you find your center.
As we all know,
Life can be full of distractions.
When things go our way,
There's a lot of exciting energy.
When things don't go our way,
There's a lot of emotions and feelings.
Every single day,
In so many different ways,
The world can pull our attention and sometimes we can feel a little wobbly,
A little off-center.
Today's simple practice will be an invitation to gently come back,
Come back to your center,
To this place each one of us has deep inside our hearts.
Let's begin our meditation practice.
If your eyes are still open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now as we go inwards together,
Nice and slow,
Giving yourself and to land.
What do you notice here?
Maybe there's a physical sensation in your body?
If so,
Follow it.
Maybe back or your hips feel a little tight.
Maybe you notice the sensation of your breath on your lips,
On your nostrils.
Maybe your attention goes to thoughts or feelings.
No need to change anything.
Just whatever captures your attention,
Just follow it.
See what happens when you try to get closer to the thought,
The feeling,
Or the sensation.
As you try to get closer,
What happens?
Does it run away from you?
Does it get louder?
Does something new capture your attention?
A gentle reminder that you can't do this wrong.
There's no feeling or thought or sensation that is off-limits here.
Anything that comes up is fully allowed.
Just notice with a gentle curiosity.
The world is full of stimulus.
If you are able to remove your judgment around good stimulus or bad stimulus,
Notice that it's just all energy pushing.
Plus,
We'll have to and get to interact with this energy,
Other people,
Other relationships,
News,
Events.
It's really powerful and important to remember that you can always come back to your center.
It's an infinite power source inside your heart.
Let's take a breath a little bit closer to our center.
Getting into your heart now.
In,
Expanding in every direction,
Gently,
Pleasantly,
Back to your center.
Self-generating,
Loving,
Being space inside you.
Nothing needed from you here.
No status,
Material objects don't matter.
Tranquil,
Peace here.
I invite you to take another step deeper into your center now.
There is a deep knowing available to you here.
Clear remembering of who you are.
You're open to it.
I'd like to invite you to sit with a tall spine,
Gently raising your spine and feeling the strength and stability within you now.
Shoulders gently going back,
Your heart space opening up.
Nice tall spine,
Infinite power source inside your heart is vibrating.
There is a peace,
A tranquility,
An ease available to you here.
Taking a moment to connect with the ground beneath you that you are always supported.
The earth is always here grounding you,
Rooting you.
There's ever any energy that no longer serves you.
Mother Earth is right here and she's ready to absorb that unwanted energy.
Imagining it gently falling off your body,
Falling down your legs,
Being absorbed by Mother Earth.
You're getting lighter,
You're getting clearer.
Not a complicated process,
It's so gentle like rain cleansing trees and leaves,
Gently falling.
Spine is providing you strength and stability,
Is gently open to the world.
The world is full of energy,
Pulling and pushing.
There's nothing wrong with that.
You get to dance,
You get to integrate with whichever energy you'd like.
You don't need to merge with any other energy.
You,
Dear artists,
Are your own star.
Play with other stars.
You could dance with other stars,
But you are allowed to coexist.
You don't need to merge into one big star or center.
This is our last song.
No matter how far you leaned into this meditation to this point,
Let it go.
Let's begin again now.
Can you feel inside you?
Can you feel the power outside you?
Your center now.
Take a moment to land back into our bodies,
Land back into our seats.
Take one last breath together here,
Breathing in.
Bravo,
Dear artists.
You made it to the end of this meditation.
For that,
I am so grateful.
This time together,
Whether we know each other or not,
Means so much to me.
For those of us joining live at the artist morning,
I'm gonna put 20 minutes on the clock and invite you to do some private personal journaling and continue this experience of connection with ourselves,
Connection with our center.
You're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer.
Of course,
You could do the same.
Put some time on your clock and see what's here,
What's real,
What's alive and accessible.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
