Good morning,
And welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius,
And I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice by finding a comfortable seat and beginning to settle in.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to gently close them now as we begin to go inwards together.
Any feelings,
Any thoughts,
All of them are welcome.
There's no need to resist any of them.
There's no way you need to be.
We're taking a moment to connect with ourselves,
To slow down and to really allow,
And if you're open to it,
Let's take a few deeper breaths,
Big,
Juicy breaths,
Imagining new,
Fresh energy coming into your system,
And gently,
Lovingly letting go of any old,
Stagnant energy that you no longer need with your exhales,
And as we exhale,
Let's make some noise.
Let's begin to open our voices today.
Even if it's subtle,
Let's allow our voice to be open and free today.
Let's do it together.
Big breath in,
Hold at the top,
Letting it go with some noise.
We are allowing our heart to be open.
We are allowing our voice to be open.
Let's add two more components to our practice today.
Let's have a nice,
Tall spine,
Gentle but tall.
Take a moment to find that position,
Tall spine with ease and gentleness inside it.
Heart open.
Voice open.
Spine tall.
And our last component,
Feet grounded.
Take a moment to feel the energy of groundedness,
Whether your feet are touching the floor or not.
Feet grounded.
The ground is right there,
Ready to hold you.
Heart open.
Voice open.
Spine tall.
Nice,
Deep breath from this more centered,
Anchored place.
Breathing in,
Hold at the top and let it go with some noise.
Today's practice is very simple.
I'm going to repeat those four statements.
You can repeat them with me or you can just sit back and feel the energy of each one.
Heart open.
Voice open.
Spine tall.
Grounded.
Find your center.
Continue breathing.
I'm going to repeat them again.
Heart open.
Voice open.
Spine tall.
Feet grounded.
Find your center.
There is an eternal center inside each and every one of us.
A place of deep,
Grounded anchoring.
Life has a lot of energy,
A lot of noise,
A lot of excitement.
And sometimes a lot of fear as well.
It's important to remember that we can always come back to this eternal center.
We have one more song today.
I'm going to leave a lot of open space with this song for us.
But before I go,
One more time,
Let's share those affirmations,
Those easily accessible positions,
Those states,
Those anchors.
Heart open.
Voice open.
Spine tall.
Feet grounded.
With these anchors,
With this level of centeredness available to you.
What are you going to create,
Dear artist?
Bravo,
Dear artist.
We made it to the end of our meditation today.
And for that,
I am so grateful.
For those that are joining live at the artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt so that we can continue this exploration of finding our center of coming back to our anchors.
And of course,
If you are catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
You can do the same.
Get your own clock out,
Get your journal out.
And let's see what's here and ready to be expressed through you.
Thank you once again for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
