Hello and welcome to the Artist Morning Writers Club.
This is a guided meditation made specifically for writers.
Let's begin our practice if your eyes are open.
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together,
Nice and slow.
Allowing new creative energy in through our inhales.
And with each exhale,
We get lighter and lighter.
Today's practice will be an exploration of paradox.
A paradox is.
.
.
Two concepts,
Two elements that seem to be in conflict but in actuality are not in conflict.
So let's begin.
A reminder that you can't get this wrong.
These are creative explorations intended to help prepare us for our writing today.
Take a nice deep breath.
Breathing in.
Holding at the top of your breath,
Making some noise with your exhale.
Today we will practice.
.
.
Being light.
Like the wind.
We are light.
So practice feeling light inside your body,
Like you're floating.
Light like the air,
Light like wind.
And.
.
.
We are deep.
Like a mighty oak tree,
We have roots that go deep into the ground.
Feel your roots going from your feet down,
Down,
Down into the ground,
Getting nutrients,
Getting support from the earth.
We are light and we are deep.
Feel the support from both sides,
From both ends.
We are solid like a mountain,
Strong and solid.
And we flow like the ocean Play with me,
Practice with me,
Feeling solid and strong in your body here.
Play with me,
Practice with me.
Allowing energy to flow like the ocean.
Take a nice deep breath here,
Playing with this concept of paradox.
Breathing in.
.
.
.
Big exhale out.
We are creators.
We are writers.
We play at the edge.
Of comfort zones.
We are explorers.
We are adventurers.
We do things differently than most people.
You have known your whole life.
There is something different about you.
You have felt some calling inside you for a very long time and maybe you pushed it away,
Maybe you tried to mute it.
But it has always been there.
Continue taking deep breaths,
Bringing energy to your heart.
We embrace the paradox.
We play with it,
We explore it.
Abraham Hicks has this beautiful sentence that I quite love.
There is nothing serious happening here.
There is nothing serious happening here.
Our minds want to weigh us down with everything being so serious.
There is nothing serious happening here and your life is sacred,
Dear one.
What a beautiful paradox.
Nothing serious happening here and your life is sacred.
This is our last song,
I'm gonna leave some space.
For you and your beautiful heart and your beautiful writer self.
Just to connect and perhaps set your intention for our writing this week.
What a gift,
What a blessing to have another day,
Another fresh canvas.
What a gift,
What a blessing to be in contact with that part of us inside.
That wants to write,
That wants to create,
That wants to tell stories.
Thank you,
Dear artists,
For meditating with me.
Thank you,
Dear writers,
For making it to the end of our meditation here today.
I'm so,
So grateful that we get to go on these journeys together.
For those that are joining us live at the Artist Morning Writers Club,
I'm going to carve out 66 minutes of sacred structure for us to do the writing.
And of course,
If you are catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on Insight Timer,
You can do the same,
Carve out some time for yourself and see what is here and ready to be expressed through you.
Thank you once again for meditating with me.
My name is Darius,
And I will see you next time.
