Very often.
We might find ourselves.
With awareness stuck in the past or traversing into the future.
But our practice of meditation and mindfulness is a practice that invites our attention right to where we are.
Instead of anchoring to the past,
We anchor into this experience.
Let's try that.
From where you are,
As long as it's safe.
I want you to tune in to your body.
It doesn't require a comfortable position or lying down.
You don't have to lean against a wall or do a particular pose.
You can just begin to notice your body,
Where it's at in space.
Lend us your breath.
The beat of your heart.
The texture of your clothes.
Notice what's under your feet.
Or on your seat.
Notice the weather,
The sounds.
Are you inside or are you outside?
And just allow yourself to register.
Checking in,
Noticing if your body feels tight or loose.
The emotional frequency that might be lingering of sadness or peace.
Happiness or grief.
Continue noticing.
Right here.
Right now.
The very next breath in.
And the very next breath out.
Stay with it.
Just a little longer right here with me in this space.
A moment to bring yourself back to the moment.
And then allow yourself to take a great big breath,
Full breath in through the nose.
And out of the mouth.
And see if you can feel and keep this presence with you throughout the remainder of your day.
From my heart directly to yours.
Namaste.
