Welcome to your 10 minute meditation on gratitude.
You can use this meditation when you need to fall in love with your life again.
When you need to choose love and grace above all else.
Go ahead and find a comfortable shape with your spine supported.
Close your eyes.
Release your jaw.
Relax your shoulders and soften your belly.
We'll start by taking a few clearing breaths.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale fully.
Once more,
Deep breath in.
And all the way out.
Next I'd like you to recall a time in your life when you felt a deep sense of gratitude.
Go back to that moment and feel the spark.
Now drop into the physical sensation of expansion and warmth in your chest.
Hold your attention there.
Allow it to burn stronger and brighter.
Do you feel that?
Breathe into the fullness.
Know that you can call on this anytime.
Now we're going to try something a little unorthodox for meditation but this is really powerful.
Using your non-dominant hand,
Please go ahead and gently touch the nape of your neck.
This is located at the back of your neck where your hairline meets the gentle dip.
With your eyes closed,
Just take a few deep,
Luxurious breaths here.
Breathe into the deep sensations of the heart.
Keep touching the nape of your neck.
Creating a fresh neuro pathway that you can call on anytime you need to be reminded of the greatness around you.
Stay with the breath.
Now,
Go ahead and release your hand from your neck and come back to steeping inside your gratitude with each breath embodying the fullness.
Just remember that there's nothing else for you to be doing in this moment.
Stay with the breath,
Sensation in the heart space and the warmth.
As you steep in the sensations of gratitude,
Notice their depth.
And your own time is beginning to deepen.
The awareness,
The breath.
And when you're ready,
With a deep compassion,
Open your eyes.
