Welcome to your 5 minute meditation on turning inward.

You can use this meditation when you need a time out to clear your mind,

To focus your attention or simply to seek refuge.

Just go ahead and find a comfortable shape with your spine supported.

Close down your eyes,

Release your jaw,

Relax your shoulders and soften your belly.

To start,

I'll take a few clearing breaths.

Inhale deeply and exhale fully.

Once more,

Big deep breath in and all the way out.

Next we'll introduce a mantra.

Today we'll be using the words here and now.

So silently whispering to yourself the words here as you inhale and now as you exhale.

Here,

Now.

Just keep going with your own breath,

Silently repeating the words.

When you get distracted,

Just coming back gently to the words here,

Now.

Just straight forward.

You Good So the only thing that we're going to change now is to deepen our breath Start to release the mantra coming into silence and Expanding your awareness to all of your senses Noting the temperature of the air against your skin Listening closely to the sounds near And far As you begin to awaken the centering yourself into the present moment And brightly lift your gaze Namaste

For a short meditation it was really calming and loved the simple mantra. Our dogs meditated well with it.

Simple. I liked how I could just stay with it even after the 5 minutes had passed. (Until I was ready to be done.)
