Welcome to your morning meditation.
Please go ahead and find a comfortable shape.
Begin by resting and softening your body,
Shoulders,
Your belly.
Simply start by drawing your awareness to your breath.
Ooh,
Ooh,
Ooh.
At first,
Just noticing the temperature of the breath and its direction.
Drawing your focus to your inhalation to begin.
Noticing how the breath travels in through the nostrils,
Down the throat,
Down the spine,
All the way into your belly as the belly expands.
And as the belly contracts,
The breath travels up the spine and out.
Try that again.
As you inhale,
The breath travels in through the nostrils,
Down the spine,
Into the belly.
And as you exhale,
The breath travels all the way up the spine and out.
Just trying that your own time with your own breath.
Now we'll try drawing our awareness to our energy.
Which moves in opposition of the breath.
And it's very subtle,
So don't worry if you're not able to connect to it today.
So starting again with an inhalation.
Take a nice deep breath in.
Breath travels in and down.
Notice how your spine gets taller and energetically you feel more buoyant.
As you exhale,
The breath travels up while the energy travels down and you become more grounded.
Give that a try on your own.
Just staying focused on the breath.
And as an opportunity to become clearer and more focused.
So let's see if we can explore a little more what's happening with your breath.
As the breath travels in and down,
We know and we can feel that the energy travels all the way up the crown of the head.
And as the breath travels up and out,
We can feel the forces of gravity as the breath is resisted.
So somewhere along the spine,
These two elements pass each other,
The breath and our energy,
Prana.
So again,
This is extremely subtle,
But I'd like you to really try and tune in to where they pass,
Like what point along your breathing path do they kiss each other and part.
Keep refining your attention to focus on the subtle elements of your breath and energy.
And just go ahead and release any attachment that you have to that process of breathing and paying attention to your breath.
As your shoulders soften and the belly relax,
The teeth separate,
Tongue resting gently in the mouth.
Letting go of all of the moments that have led up to this very moment.
Collecting and gathering your awareness.
What's up being overly focused on anything at all?
Just notice if you're getting called away through distractions,
Maybe thoughts,
Noises,
Your to-do list.
If you do notice that happening at any time during your meditation,
Just choosing to pull back in as many times as you need.
That's the same for all of yourisons during your meditation.
So as we begin to refine our attention,
This is a good opportunity for you to ask,
Perhaps posing a question to the universe.
You can do this out loud or silently,
Something to the tune of,
What is it that I need to know today?
And waiting patiently for any clues that might show themselves inside your meditation.
So this can be a whisper or a thought,
Your intuition or an image,
A visualization.
Don't worry if nothing comes up for you today.
Just keep the attention focused.
See if you can practice patience.
That subliminal,
Loud honk just happens to be influenced,
In your subconscious.
Now without creating any stories or expectations around anything that has revealed itself,
Just allow that moment to pass with a sense of clarity,
Going to slowly come out of our meditation starting with the breath.
Just feel the inhalation in all of its expansiveness and the exhalation and its ability to ground and solidify anything that's come up for you today.
Ooh Ooh With a few rounds of deep luxurious breaths,
Just begin to awaken the senses.
You might invite in gentle movements.
And one last cycle of breath.
Take a deep inhalation to fill the lungs right up to the top of your breathing capacity,
Taking what you need from your time here today and exhaling fully letting go of anything that is no longer serving you.
Ooh When you're ready,
Gracefully lift your gaze,
Collecting your hands at heart center and moving into an inspired day.
Namaste.
Ooh Ooh Ooh
