This is a meditation you can use to get insight on your current circumstance from your soul's perspective or lead into your creative writing session.
Have your writing materials nearby and I'll give you about five minutes to write as part of this meditation.
Sit comfortably.
Place your hands in your lap.
Lengthen through your spine,
Letting your shoulders relax down your back.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Start to take some deeper breaths into your chest.
Inhaling to a count of four.
Inhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Filling up through the chest,
Lifting through your heart.
And slow exhale.
Continue the breath at your own cadence.
Each breath in,
Lifting through your spine and through the crown of your head.
And each breath out,
Relaxing through your temples,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
And your hips.
Now feeling into the points of contact between your body and the ground.
So maybe the bottoms of your feet,
Or your seat and the chair.
And letting yourself be 10% more heavy.
Letting your body relax into it,
Be supported.
And then start to imagine that through these points of contact that you are able to inhale and soak up earth energy.
So as you inhale,
You're bringing in grounded earth energy into your body,
Feeling it through the bottoms of your feet,
Through your seat.
And then on the exhale,
You're able to release out any old energy,
Any worry,
Fear,
Or stress.
Inhale,
Bringing in fresh grounded energy.
And then exhale,
Releasing out any old energy,
Pushing it out of your body.
And continue using the breath,
Visualizing this.
Now feeling fully rooted into the ground.
Start to let your body bring in light energy from all around you.
From 360 degrees,
Bringing in light energy of the sun and the stars.
On the inhale,
Soaking up that light energy into your body and your energy field.
Bringing in new energy.
And on the exhale,
Releasing the old energy.
So releasing any old ideas,
Any old versions of self.
Inhale,
Energizing from 360 degrees.
And exhale,
Releasing the old energy out.
And continue a few more breaths on your own.
Now to make even more space for clarity and ideas to come through,
We'll clear out the main central channel of the energy system.
So starting at the crown of the head,
Bringing your attention to the crown of your head.
And then start to breathe into that space,
Feeling into the space just at the top of your head.
As you inhale,
Bringing all of your energy right here to the crown.
And then as you exhale,
Release anything that is blocking your divine connection.
And coming down to the third eye to the center of the head.
As you inhale,
Bring fresh energy into this location.
And then as you exhale,
Release anything that is blocking your vision.
Bring your attention to your throat.
Inhale.
Bringing in fresh energy.
And then exhale,
Release anything that is blocking your expression.
Bring your attention down to the center of your chest to your heart.
As you inhale,
Bring in fresh energy to the heart.
As you exhale,
Release anything that's blocking your ability to feel love.
Bring your attention down to the solar plexus,
Just underneath your ribs.
Inhale,
Bringing in fresh energy to this part of the body.
And exhale out anything that is blocking your power.
Bring your attention down to the sacral,
The low belly.
Inhale in fresh energy.
And exhale out anything blocking your connection.
And finally,
Bring your attention down to the root,
To the tailbone area.
Inhale in fresh energy.
And exhale out anything blocking your sense of safety.
And on your next inhale,
Imagine the air flowing all the way back up from the root,
Through the belly,
Through the spine,
Through the neck,
All the way up to the crown of the head.
At the top of the inhale,
Imagine the energy swirling around the crown.
And then on the exhale,
Traveling back out down the same way,
Down the central channel,
Through the neck,
The throat,
The heart,
The ribs,
The belly,
And out the root.
Now we'll repeat a mantra three times.
So repeating this in your head or speaking it softly aloud.
I receive clear and direct communication from my soul.
As you repeat this,
Imagine more of your soul's energy coming into your body.
I receive clear and direct communication from my soul.
I receive clear and direct communication from my soul.
Now it's time to pose a question to your soul.
You can ask your soul something specific about a current circumstance or simply just say,
What would my soul like to express?
And you can sit with that question for a few minutes or when an image or word starts to come to your mind.
Then you can gently open your eyes,
Turn to your writing materials,
And start writing.
Allow yourself to write whatever comes through without judgment,
Without question,
Without reading back.
And just allow yourself to free write for the next five or so minutes.

But if you're ready to come out,
Go ahead and take a deep breath into your chest.
And then on the exhale,
Release all the excess energy.
Then return to the present moment.
Feel into your body,
Maybe pressing your fingers against your ears.
Maybe you're rubbing against each other or rubbing your hands together.
Placing your hands,
Your palms on your cheeks,
On your neck,
Your shoulders,
Coming back into your physical space.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Look around the room.
Notice the first three things you see in your space.
And take another breath in.
And release.
You can use this meditation as a daily practice,
Or just whenever you need some guidance from your soul,
Or to start off your writing practice.
