
How To Train Your Dragon

I just wanted to,
In this discussion,
Just have a little chat about when we start moving stuff on our return back to wholeness or oneness or self,
Whatever you want to call it.
You know what we're doing here now,
You've got a bit of a sense of it.
There's a pattern that I've noticed in myself and I've noticed it years ago in my mum actually.
And it's this thing where we have a bit of success and we break through some stuff and it's kind of a sense of,
You get that sense of lightness and you're actually integrating on some levels and you're starting to get,
It's like you lighten your load I guess is a way to describe it.
And because the load's been lightened and that energy's been freed up,
There's this thing that we can then stop.
Or we feel like you feel so much better than where you did perhaps when you kind of had to really look within and had to really do some work because it's just like that burden or that depression became too strong,
That weight became too much to keep carrying.
So you might have had a bit of a breakthrough in a healing session or you actually let go of some of those habits that were actually,
Not just habits,
Physical habits but habits in ways of thinking,
Ways of being that were really limiting.
So there has been a modicum of success which,
Thank God,
Hooray,
Because we do feel like we're walking around with something a lot lighter than perhaps we were carrying before.
So there's this sense of once you get that bit of success,
It's like oh I'm good now and you actually are good,
You've got a lot of,
Again,
More energy back and you start to get a bit of momentum in life again and it's like it's really easy then to just get on with it,
Which by all means we're always getting on with it and we do have to get on with it.
But that's also a little trick because it almost avoids or makes us avoid looking even deeper into that shadow,
Even deeper into that pain,
Going to those parts that are even deeper,
Like deeper layers of the onion so to speak.
Now it's your choice of course,
You have free will to just,
Okay I can manage from here,
But it's sort of a missed opportunity really because all that energy that's kind of frozen up there,
It's what we're actually doing is almost like making an appointment with life or the universe to,
We'll just deal with that bit later and it's a sneaky little way of avoiding those parts that are in there.
And it's,
You know,
You'll have a strategy that'll come up that'll,
Because you avoid it,
That you weren't able to flow with that experience or there was something frozen,
Some traumatic event or there's something frozen in there that is come up to be looked at and just like it was hurtful or painful the first time,
There's something in the conscious or in your consciousness that'll go,
Oh,
Actually,
Nah,
It's just too much,
Too much to actually look at that.
And what we're doing there is still making that story or making that event greater than ourself.
So a great way of actually dealing and keeping on,
Rather why don't we just deal with it now?
Why do we have to then put that off and keep playing on because,
Okay,
We can actually,
We can deal with it from here and we can actually even help people because,
You know,
We've actually have come this far.
We have actually done that in a work that hasn't been,
Hasn't been somewhere.
Well,
I noticed myself just going through this process was like,
Okay,
Now I feel like I'm more ready to serve and now I feel like I'm more ready to share because I've actually integrated some of those parts and I've actually released some,
Some of that,
I've actually faced some of that stuff that we've all got to face within ourselves to kind of return ourselves back to that wholeness.
Excuse me.
Breakfast.
Okay,
So what do we do when we've,
We've still got that stuff?
It's a actual useful tool to go into it because it's almost like that's like a frozen energy and um,
It's funny that little kids movie frozen just popped up.
There's like,
There's so many symbols in,
It's like that's another version of the hero's journey and it's literally like you're frozen and you need to let it go.
Let it go.
Let it go.
That's why the kids love it so much and we do secretly.
Um,
Because they're sort of talking about those myths of where we,
We make a decision,
We make a choice about ourself.
And again,
She had,
She made a choice that her power was dangerous,
So she had to keep it from people.
And she just wants to let it go.
We all,
We just want to let it go.
We want to let our power,
We want to let our spirit out into the world.
We want to let it go.
Now that might sound a bit funny,
Like Disney princess thing,
But we do.
We are Elsa.
Is that a name?
Elsa.
I think it's Elsa.
Um,
My,
My little ones adore that movie and you can't help but be moved by a lot of those things like how to train your dragons.
Another one.
It's another great metaphor,
Great symbol,
Great to watch with the kids actually.
But they're all,
They're all talking about that hero's journey.
We've touched on as well.
It's um,
You know,
The hero,
He never knows he's a hero.
He's just like a flawed character and he's often not accepted by the people around him.
And he actually has to buck that,
Uh,
Well like in How To Train Your Dragon for example,
They were at war with the dragons and we are at war with our dragons very much.
And our dragons are,
They're just symbols of our unconsciousness.
So rather than being at war with them,
We can make friends with them and we can actually choose to love them.
And like,
You know,
The,
The dragon called Toothless in,
In that metaphor,
In that story,
When he decided he had an opportunity to kill the dragon and he decided not to kill the dragon,
He decided to actually look after the dragon because he could see that there was something of a,
He,
He liked that dragon.
It was a beautiful creature and we've,
We're very much the same with that.
Another one just to jump on,
I'm kind of going all over the place a little bit here,
But that metaphor in Game of Thrones,
You know,
If you kind of,
I'm losing you with the Disney movies,
You know,
We love,
I haven't actually said,
I've only kind of got halfway through season four,
So I don't really know the outcome of that story particularly,
But I know we love Daenerys,
That cute blonde,
Um,
Mother of dragons.
And you know,
She,
That's that symbol of being in the,
Like,
You know,
She was in the fire with the dragons and she came out and became the mother of,
She tamed them.
She became the mother of the dragons and you know,
She's a princess,
So she's got that royal kind of,
Um,
Archetype and she's powerful,
Um,
And she's beautiful.
But yeah,
It's,
It's all those dragons are actually lurking in the shadows and you know,
Whether your dragon is your addiction or whatever it is that is keeping you from your divinity is actually the dragon.
And that's actually,
We have to make friends with that dragon.
We have to integrate that dragon and love it.
And that's what these processes are actually talking about and pointing toward as well.
So all those dark shady spots where you,
I don't know,
You felt like you were not enough.
You felt like you were,
Like I said before,
Like secretly,
You're not a really very nice person for example,
Even though you try to be nice,
You know that there's something in you that's not very nice at times or,
Um,
Is asleep.
And that's,
That's actually come up to be,
Come up to be like the only way there's no,
We can deny it or we'll just get on with it.
We'll be getting,
We'll become busy with somebody else,
Something else.
And like I said,
It's just basically,
That's like an appointment with the universe.
I'll do it.
I'll just deal with that later.
Whenever,
Why not just deal with it now?
You still,
There's still more power in that story than there is in actually owning your power to actually make this,
Uh,
Rather than being something you run from,
Something that you run toward and you embrace.
So again,
We can use these tools that we've been talking about.
So first of all,
Let's ground.
So sit up nice and straight,
Put your feet on the ground and just tuning into the earth.
As you guys know by now,
It's always great to have that strong foundation and harmonize with the earth and just take some nice slow deep breaths.
You can breathe in for a count of seven and hold it.
Maybe have two events.
And just slowing the breath down is a great way of coming to the present of course but also when we're connecting when we're harmonizing with that earth energy and if you're a visual person you might want to send like roots down you like connecting energetically with the earth you can send almost like your your legs are like the roots and you're sending them down deep into the core of the earth and as you're breathing that slow deep breath you're actually harmonizing with that earth energy one way you could imagine it sort of you're breathing it up but I actually like harmonizing with it so there's kind of like a resonant a resonance that happens with in my body and that earth spirit that Gaia energy that it's like a mothering energy as we know where we call it the earth mother so just try this just like you know the exercises we've done with harmonizing it's just simply a tuning to the earth that we're on and this that solidity that strength and it's it's like the earth can feel us feeling it and we're essentially sharing the essence of who we are with that earth so it's like there's a harmony and a resonance that happens it's also great for just balancing out the nervous system it's like all that sort of jangly energy that we can carry around or that anxiety it really it's like you know ground zero for or bring you know there's another term that's like bringing that into the zero point field so again I just like the sense of harmonizing with the earth personally and having that relationship breathing breathing that being in that space together and just breathing quite naturally and it just starts to really settle down your nervous system give you a stronger foundation for when it's using to then bring your energy and your attention so you've already can feel that as soon as we start to bring our attention up there's that strong sense of foundation that has already happened just from that harmonizing with the earth and now we want to harmonize with the universe itself so again nice slow deep breaths bring your energy bring your awareness up to the crown and just tuning into that universal energy I can already feel just in myself there's this a bit of resistance to want to harmonize and that's kind of what I was talking about before that's like there's this part of me that feels ashamed and that perhaps that I'll be rejected by the universe or be rejected by God for the choices that I've made rejected by my higher self and so who's actually judging there is it actually that universal the universe itself judging me or is that just where I've judged me and that's essentially that's what's come up I've judged me here I haven't worked hard enough I haven't been truthful enough and it's good to actually a little trick here is it's just come into my consciousness is that I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with the work of Byron Katie but it's actually it's that's having it's asking a question or four questions specifically is this true well is it true and you know this part of my consciousness mind conscious mind that says yeah that's true you know I've seen lots of people working way harder so I shouldn't really get to get to have that because you know people work harder than I have and the next question is can I absolutely know that this is true can I absolutely know this is true well I can't absolutely know that's true I don't know how much people have worked or haven't worked or certainly appears that way but okay so if I could let go of that I don't actually know that that's true I can't know that that's true okay who would I be without that thought I didn't have the thought that I can't ascend because I'm not good enough or I haven't worked enough without that well that would then allow me to actually look up and look into that part that I'm scared to look at that maybe I'll be rejected oh no you know I'll be rejected by life and isn't this a story we've made up if we essentially making up our beliefs I've made this one up too so that becomes a dragon that is one of the dragons that I'm talking about here just bringing that into consciousness bringing that into awareness still staying present with it tuning into that higher frequency that higher higher love light again still sensing that groundedness and connectedness with the earth and so they're starting to be a frequency from above and there's a frequency from below and just feel those energies feel those energies coming up from the earth as you're harmonizing and coming down from the heavens almost I mean all this is actually happening inside us so we're just using I'm just using this language is nothing's actually above or below it's actually all happening right here but we're bringing it into this central point because you know the earth is very much is just as much a part of this whole universe as everything else but it sort of acts as our anchor point it acts as our central ground zero to use that sort of expression or that but yeah there isn't up there isn't down it's just actually one and so we're actually harmonizing with the the entirety of life we're harmonizing now with that vibration saying yes it's almost like it starts to that harmony that vibration it's a very fine clear it's grounded that vibration as much as it is high and that's almost like we act as access but we're like a access point between heaven and earth and this is it's it's right in that sort of in your that heart center I feel again just keep breathing because where there's that trauma that's been frozen we tend to freeze up as well it's like that's the resonant that's the the kind of harmonic there if I can use that term it's like there's a frozen energy there and when we freeze we literally it's like we saw we it's almost like we stop breathing so we want to breathe into that we want to go to those that energy that that we don't want that we've been traditionally we've been fighting with we've been trying to kill that dragon rather than nurture it we've been running from it in fear rather than just staring right into it just being with it and you can have a conversation with it what are you here to teach me what gifts are being held here and you know I'm sensing now just this just even as I'm saying this there's like there's a change in my relationship to that particular whether it's an event or it's kind of like a conglomeration of energy Eckhart Tolle talks about it as being the pain body so it's all our painful experiences and it's that part of us that we're we're kind of scared when it comes up because we it sort of takes us over and becomes unconsciousness it's hostile like that sort of that dragon before it's actually being welcomed and being embraced there's a real this fear there and it wants because it doesn't trust you because it hasn't met you like this before so imagine now that you can you've got that sense of energy there's a sense of vibration in yourself and for me it's sitting right over this sort of right in this sort of central axis right in this deep part core stuff so let's choose to love that love that which is unlovable love that which we've been running from because there's gold in here it's like that dark part of the cave that that's where your treasure lies so rather than getting stuck in that identity that just wants to push down wants to deny or ignore let's actually choose to make friends with that and you can imagine energetically wrapping you wrapping your arms around that it's like a just like a density you can feel in your energy field now tuning into love and loving that almost like it's the love that you have for your child or whatever whatever you have love for you can bring love in for but this is this is even a deeper level of love because this is happening right inside you and you've been carrying this forever and really loving this entity or this aspect is gonna release so much energy for you but we're using language here to try and describe this experience so wrap your arms around this energy and again you can have a chat with it and you can this is a little NLP trick but you can imagine a little soundtrack this is funny this is funny thing happen is like I've been running for you forever but when I look at you you're actually there's something kind of cute here there's something kind of there's another wave comes up where it doesn't feel so cute but just keep breathing can you be grateful for this part like a long-lost friend this it's like when we have long-lost friends we're often sorry for being lost to each other so you could just give your give that entity give that self I'm sorry I'm not gonna leave you I got you I got you and I love you I'm so grateful for you I'm so grateful for who you are you're not gonna you're not gonna die I'm bringing you with me here because each form actually wants to remain it wants to remain in existence just like you do but these aspects these different forms within us also want to remain and again it's just that sort of resistance to returning that to the zero point returning that to to love but you can feel how much energy is right there so and this is just to bring it back to the initial part of this conversation we can get seduced into thinking oh we're good now we've done the work but there's still another layer that's gonna come up and this there's more layers for me I'm not out of the woods yet but I can bring you I can help you get to here because this is where I am now we are powerful beings we are not smaller than what has happened to us we just made those experience larger but that's there the trick they tricked you into thinking they're bigger than you but when we're facing them head-on and we're actually grateful for them there's like a whole different relationship that you're not running it from your addiction you're not running from your pain and numbing it and just trying to shut it down you're actually staring it right in the face you keep breathing keep being grateful keep bringing that gratitude and that love toward this energy and keep giving it the love that you generously give to others which we all have some areas of our life that we give love to you know it's our work or our family or our community or even even if you're at your worst there's still some way that you love even if it's your drug habit because you getting school there's something new that gets excited there just give that a touch of that I know that sounds pretty out there but just give the touch of that energy to this that you're facing now embrace your story embrace the trauma embrace that what's been stuck let yourself feel it even if it starts to feel overwhelming you're still connected to that still harmonized with that universal force that you know which is what you are and that's the one that breaks up all the density and just change that higher frequency changes the density what a fabulous job the illusion has done us keep of keeping you separate how thanking the illusion thank you illusion thank you lesion for teaching me this lesson now I've still got more work to do and you know often we need to do this well we can only do this work a line but we can certainly help each other and guide each other through it and I'm here to help and guide and serve if you feel cold if this resonates with you or you
