Today I have the honor to read a beautiful poem written by Tanya Greenwood.
What if?
Two tiny words transforming life.
What if we all loved ourselves?
What if we all shared our love?
What if we all shared our kindness?
What if we all believed in each other?
What if we all saw our own beauty?
What if nature nourished and nurtured us all?
What if we are all interconnected?
What if we all used our positive intention?
To heal the natural world and create peace?
What if we all could just be ourselves?
What if we all danced with humanity?
What if we all shared our unique gifts?
What if we all rise against our challenges?
What if we listened to our hearts,
Not our heads?
What if we could all live in peace?
What if we all put aside our differences?
What if there was no judgment or prejudice?
What if we treated everything with compassion?
What if we engaged with our higher selves?
What if we were all considered equal?
What if we all lived our truth?
What if we all witnessed the beauty around us?
What if we could all be our own best friend?
What if we could let our spirits soar?
What if we all had an equal voice?
What if we all listened to each other?
What if we all knew right from wrong?
What if we all shared in the good news?
What if we all come together as humans and use our connectedness to heal all life?
What if this act of humanity created hope?
What if this created our chance to be free and become the people we've always wanted to be?
What if world peace became a reality?
What if hope and happiness replaced fear?
And what if we created a beautiful world that we all believed in?
It's called life.
What if that restored our universal balance?
What if that created a hopeful future for every single living thing on earth?
What if we could start that today and make tomorrow and every day after days of what if?
