Welcome back,
My name is Laura and this is Cultivate Your Wellness.
I'm so happy you're joining me here today.
In today's meditation we're going to practice pausing,
Diving inward,
And connecting with our authentic self.
As we foster the relationship with who we truly are,
We begin to build a foundation of confidence and comfort and a curiosity to continue down a path led by our truth.
Let's begin.
Taking a moment to settle in,
Finding any position that's comfortable for you.
Closing the eyes if that feels okay or just softening your gaze.
Inviting in a little length to the spine and expansion to the chest and beginning to place the distractions of the world to the side for a moment.
Turning our attention inward,
Starting with the breath.
Taking in a slow and intentional inhale and a slow and relaxing exhale.
Breathing in and feeling the air as it enters your body.
Feeling your lungs expand and following it back out again.
Feeling the body as it begins to let go and continuing with the breath at your own pace.
Each inhale creating space,
Each exhale releasing a little bit more into stillness.
Taking a moment now to scan the body from head to toe,
Noticing anywhere you might be holding on to tension,
Seeing if you can send the breath there with your intention.
Inviting in softness,
Starting at the head,
Traveling down the face,
The neck,
The shoulders,
The arms,
The hands and fingers and continuing further down the torso,
The belly,
The back,
The sacrum,
Finally the legs and your feet and toes.
Inviting every muscle to soften just a bit more.
Connecting with the stillness,
Connecting with just being.
If the mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just acknowledge you had a thought and let it pass by,
Just like a cloud in the sky.
There's a thought,
There's another one and here I am observing the scenery.
I invite you now to ask yourself this question,
Who am I?
Not what you do for work or the name people call you.
Who are you truly?
How do you feel?
How do you want to feel?
Give yourself permission to express yourself freely in this moment.
Sometimes we are our toughest critic.
Welcome your true self into this safe space you've created.
Give them permission to shine as bright as they can.
What wisdom might they be holding for you?
And if emotions come up,
That's okay too.
Lean into those feelings.
Offer them the opportunity to be expressed.
Follow the sensations where they may lead,
Remembering again that you are safe in this moment and that you do have the ability to be your own guide.
Remembering you always have the breath to return to,
To connect with.
I'll give you a few more moments to explore this meditation on your own.
I'll call you back when it's time.
Beginning to draw yourself back to the space around you,
Connecting with the breath once again,
Taking in a long intentional inhale and letting it out with a sigh,
Inviting in some gentle movements,
Thanking yourself for the time you've dedicated to the practice today,
Feeling gratitude for coming here and showing up.
I'm feeling so much gratitude for you.
Thank you for the opportunity to guide you.
I hope you'll join me again soon.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
Bye for now.
