This meditation an invitation into the practice of gratitude. We will practice cultivating gratitude in our heart space. We pause, find stillness, and look inward. Setting aside the thoughts of the mind, and journeying with the feelings of the heart. When we take the time to practice gratitude, we invite the opportunity for more joy and love in our lives, in our relationships with others, with the world around us, and with ourselves.

Welcome back.

My name is Laura and this is Cultivate Your Wellness.

In today's meditation you will practice cultivating an attitude of gratitude.

We'll pause,

Finding stillness and looking inward,

Setting aside the thoughts of the mind and journeying with the feelings of the heart.

When we take the time to practice gratitude,

We invite the opportunity for more joy and love in our lives,

In our relationships with others,

The world around us,

And with ourselves.

Let's begin.

Taking a moment to settle in,

Finding any position that's comfortable for you.

It can be sitting up or lying down.

There's no right or wrong way to be in this moment.

It's whatever feels good for you.

I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze,

Bringing some length to the spine,

Relaxing your shoulders away from your ears,

Opening up the chest,

Creating more space in the body,

And beginning to turn your attention to the breath,

Noticing how it feels as the air enters and leaves your body,

How the chest and belly rise and fall,

Bringing some intention to the breath,

Slowing them down,

Inviting in length to the inhales and the exhales,

Allowing the breath to flow freely,

Allowing it to cultivate some deeper relaxation.

Now let's bring your attention to your heart space.

Perhaps you can feel your heart beating.

Maybe you begin to feel a bit of warmth growing there.

Picture your heart as a warm glowing light,

Seeing it pumping this light all throughout your body,

Bringing with it that warmth and gentle glow,

Seeing it reaching every corner of your body,

Every inch of your being,

Bringing with it some awareness,

Noticing how each area of your body feels,

What it's like to be here in your body,

From the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your fingers and toes,

Noticing anything you might be holding in these areas,

And giving your body some permission to just let go,

Letting that tension be replaced with the light.

Now that your body is filled with this warmth and love that you've created,

Begin to shift your attention to something you are grateful for,

Something in your life that fills you with the same love and warmth you're feeling right now.

Maybe it's a loved one,

Or the place you live,

The nature that surrounds you,

An opportunity you've been given.

Think about all the value and joy it brings to you,

And feeling gratitude for its presence in your life,

Feeling how lucky you are,

And noticing how this gratitude makes you feel,

And setting this feeling in your heart,

Inviting it to move throughout your body,

Just like that light reaching every corner of your body,

Every inch of your being.

It's filling you with warmth,

Love,

And gratitude so much that you can't help but send it out to everyone and thing around you.

I'll give you a few more moments to spend with this meditation,

Thinking of anything else you might be grateful for,

Invite it into your mind,

And place it in your heart space.

Enjoy sitting with all the love and gratitude you have for it.

As we bring this meditation to a close,

Let's take a moment in gratitude for yourself,

For showing up here today,

For taking the time for you,

Recognizing all your amazing talents and qualities,

Feeling so grateful.

Let's take one final deep and relaxing breath,

Letting it out with a sigh,

Bringing your attention back to the space around you,

Preparing to reenter your day now with a renewed sense of well-being and gratitude for the opportunity to be here right now,

Experiencing all the many gifts life has given you.

When you're ready,

Opening your eyes,

I thank you for this opportunity to guide you here today.

I am so,

So grateful for you.

May you have a beautiful rest of your day filled with all the love and gratitude you've cultivated.
