Today's meditation is an opportunity to return to the space in our body where we may find inner peace.
Inner peace is not something the world or others must provide,
Nor is it something either can take away.
Likewise,
Inner peace is not something we must create for ourselves,
Nor is it something we can lose.
It is something that is always present within each of us and that we can return to.
In today's practice,
We will embark on that journey.
Let's begin.
Take a moment to settle into your body,
Making any physical adjustments you may need.
Closing the eyes or relaxing into a gentle gaze,
Reconnecting with the breath,
Finding stillness.
With each inhale,
Taking notice of any tension you might be holding onto in the mind or the body.
With the exhale,
Beginning to find some release.
Noticing with the inhale and releasing with the exhale.
Letting it go,
Allowing the breath to enter fully and exiting completely and continuing to breathe.
Now bringing your awareness to your senses,
Sounds around you,
The sensation you feel on your body,
Your connection to the earth beneath you.
Feeling what it's like to be experiencing this moment free from having to do anything else.
Taking off the many hats you wear,
Feeling what it's like to just be you.
And if thoughts come to your mind,
Bringing your attention back to the breath.
Taking the breath in and with the exhale,
Blowing the thoughts away.
Continuing to relax into your body,
Relax into your senses,
Relax into this moment.
This is a journey toward your inner peace.
It's allowing your awareness to soften,
Trusting yourself,
Guiding yourself,
Surrendering to yourself,
Even if it is just for a moment.
This space resides within you always.
It is present whenever you need it.
Remember to return here.
Believe you know the way.
I'll give you a few more moments to practice quietly on your own.
I'll call you back when it's time.
Taking a moment to readjust back to wherever you are.
Remembering to bring some of that peace with you.
Carry it with you throughout the rest of your day.
And when you're ready,
Opening your eyes.
Thank you for sharing this time with me.
You are beautiful and I appreciate you.
Be well.
