The emotional body bridges body and mind—a system of perception and sensation. It stores emotional memory in the body, shaping perceptions, thoughts, and behaviors. The emotional body taps into human resources like emotional intuition, instinct, resilience, and adaptation. In today's class, we'll tap into its wisdom using the acronym ASEF: Awareness / Sensation / Emotion / Feeling—the unfolding process of emotional language. Let´s get emotionally fluent!

Hello,

I'm Kuchira and welcome to your audio movement class called the language of the emotional body Having emotions is one thing but truly understanding their language is another emotional intelligence Maturity regulation whatever term you use the key is learning to communicate with your emotions When you and your emotions aren't speaking the same language Confusion and disconnection can follow in this class We'll dive into how emotions manifest how they move through us how to decipher their language and to truly Befriend our emotions because after all they're here to help us not to hurt us We'll also discover how to tap into their wisdom and transform their essence into tangible meaningful Experiences we'll do this by way of the body since the body is the greatest tool that nature gave us to connect To these emotions.

Why not go straight to the source?

The movement language has three vital instruments that you can use at your disposal at all times firstly movement Movement is the expression of the emotions the body the way that it moves the way that it wants to speak the emotions Gives us a way to output the input and this is incredibly important So use your body physically to emote the expression of the emotions and also use your body to experience the emotion itself Secondly we use sound or vocalization the use of your vocal cords of your voice without using words because words define and box things in and the movement language wants to open up to the Boundless to whatever is possible Limitless and so we keep the language open use your vocal expression to let out whatever tension frustration anger laughter Tears that need to be emptied from the body.

Don't worry about what they mean emotions don't have Meaning to it necessarily.

It's just an output of energy You're moving the energy out of your body And this is so important for our healing our regulation and also just our natural well-being This is how we are made we are made to emote So use that sound use that voice and as you open your throat chakra Also stay aware that it connects all the way to the root and sacral So let the sound move all the way from the pubis Through the torso out the mouth and then of course in the other direction From the mouth all the way through the torso and out the pubis This creates an immense amount of flow and release through the body and thirdly Breath breath is life force without it.

We wouldn't be here talking the breath is the GPS It will guide you don't feel as if you have to manipulate your breath rather Use the intelligence and the wisdom of the breath to help guide you if you notice that the breath is moving a little faster Then feels comfortable to your body Come aware of the breath and slow it down use your body your sound and your breath to help you come back into a calm state and the other way around if you need to feel more alive and amped up and Exhilarated in your body get that breath pumping and of course the whole spectrum in between body breath and vocalization the language of the movement practice Let's get started and put our energy in motion Before we dive into the heart of this class we enter the bubble What's the bubble kuchira good question It's a subtle energy field that envelops and infuses our physical bodies.

Let me guide you into it Go ahead and find a comfortable position standing or sitting but don't settle into rest.

This is activation time Now envision a delicate transparent layer encasing you Kind of like a soap bubble or a snow globe you inhabit or a tiny glass igloo.

That's only yours This bubble isn't a barrier to keep things in or out Rather,

It's flexible and unbreakable.

It's a thin membrane surrounding you Energetically and physically attuning to the dynamic shifts in the energy field Breathe in organically in awareness and sense your bubble breathing and sink with you Do this a couple times Your bubble is uniquely yours it functions as a transmitter sending and receiving information and energy via vibrations sensations frequencies and intentions It communicates non-verbally across layers of the emotional body the mind and the spirit sometimes it communicates subtly and sometimes vividly and obviously As you breathe with your bubble feel it cradle you connect you Free you and journey with you through the ever shifting landscape of what I call ASAP What's a set a S E F Explanation coming soon actually throughout this whole class because we're gonna actually walk the walk We're going to ASAP ourselves through this emotional body.

But for now awareness Sensation breath texture and tone and if that's all just way too much information just be with your bubble Let's stay here for a while longer breathing and dancing with the essence of the bubble Inhale and when you're ready exhale slowly letting the breath spill out of your body and sense it pooling Around you like a puddle a puddle of breath.

I love that image Keep Breathing your puddle breath expanding the puddle size With each inhale draw the water of the puddle into your body and With each exhale let the puddle grow expand Fill up your bubble even repeat a few times until you're swimming in a calm lake floating on the surface Use your sensory Imagination that felt sense and all that vivid imagination you have floating inside and around you Feel the sensations of no resistance.

No tension Just being cradled by the water drifting with the soft gentle waves of movement And if you happen to find a wavy gentle Rhythmical repetitive flow stay with that for a while As you surrender into the felt sensations let the movements follow the wind of change Wow without force without mind driven control This is an embodiment dance where spirit and sensations hold hands and trust and surrender If the mind starts to disrupt remind it mind now is not the time.

I'm on a mind vacation Continue to let the body follow the wind of change Surrendering into the felt sensations.

This is an exercise of listening to the body and creating space in the mind So that the body can have flow and ease Wherever it wishes to move Now don't get too heady about this remember you're on a mind vacation Flow and follow the wind of change Now that we're embodied and present we can dig into the heart of the matter This class explores language of the emotional body and the bubble exercise helped us understand Somatically that the emotional body doesn't speak in words Its language is abstract and formless and luckily for our wise bodies We shape these formless emotions into tangible sensations Letting us learn from their wisdom to navigate our inner and outer worlds But emotions don't just pop out of nowhere Recall the acronym ASAP Well,

It stands for awareness sensation emotion feelings and this is the unfolding process of how emotions are born and Processed so let's start with awareness Come into your body Embody it like a suit fitted just for you.

You've worn it through every experience and feeling loved and lived moment We take a moment to get comfortable in our suit Wiggle in it stretch in it roll and flail around in it really whatever your body wants This exercise is inviting you to release sounds to movements Letting the vocalizations travel from throat to pubis stirring all the bits around in your body that have become hard and stuck Really get into it.

It's not about how it looks or sounds actually it's the opposite let it get messy Shake it up get some wrinkles in that suit And like a soda can shake your body up when you're Allow the movements to help the voice escape and let that energy emotion first out of you Empty as much as you can Now notice what's remaining in the space of your body now Your sensations energies and whispers of emotion Without needing to label or change anything simply be with what's left Don't worry about what you're doing or what's coming or what's going just be with what's left natural and intuitive trusting the process Feel the textures of the aftermath the calm the buzz the stillness or the lingering charge Let awareness rest here noticing how this leftover landscape of your inner world feels Stay with this for a few breaths a few movements a few sounds Sensing into the simplicity of what's present What's beautiful about the work that you've already done is that you're aware you're embodied and without that awareness We can't notice and noticing is where intentional shifts happen.

So well done If you need to refer back to the bubble at any point in this class,

Please do so That's the tool that should be put in your toolbox comes in handy So let's move on to the S in ASAP Sensation ah Sensation is the physical body's response to formless energy.

You could say it's the body's words connecting form to formless Often sensations arise before the brain processes them Sensations are the realm of the subtle body knowing before the mind assigns meaning Sensations Are sacred delicate moments requiring awareness and emotional fluency to tune in So let's practice Wherever you are close your eyes Focus on a part of your body maybe where you feel something subtle like a tingle warmth or slight tension Notice how the sensation arises without you thinking it into existence Stay with the sensation for a few breaths Does it shift Does it stay Does it tell you something about what's present emotionally or energetically Simply observe without needing to interpret Let the sensation be a word from the subtle body Once you get a hang of it try Physically sending an energetic response to the body's words by reciprocating honestly Without the mind interrupting so let your body respond maybe through a movement a breath pattern or a big release of tension Notice how this reciprocal dance this conversation between sensation and response unfolds Now we dive into emotion colors we've arrived to the core of this class Emotion Emotion is experience plus expression.

I'm gonna say that again Emotion is experience plus expression energy in motion It's allowing sensations to express through motion energy moving via movement sound breath form and formless the world of emotions is Boundless and beautiful Emotions don't need meaning we'll explore this in the next section great thing about emotions is exactly that that they're free to be There's nothing more liberating than fully Experiencing and expressing an emotion without needing to understand why where when or how?

The motions are the messengers the informers But they inform without attachment like a lover whispering in your soul and then vanishing Leaving you full of energy and colors So let's play let's play with this emotional discovery Dive vulnerably into a pool of colors with your body breath and voice That's right close your eyes and imagine a pool of colors around Just dive into it Don't let the mind narrate which color you're with or why or what's happening just paint with your body Use the color to paint the expressions and the experiences of the emotions floating and dancing inside of you Allow yourself to be in the swirl of colors and energy without needing to make sense of it Let go of control and let the emotions guide you Play express move with openness and vulnerability and have fun And at the end of the day if you're not sure if I'm quote-unquote doing it right which doesn't exist That just means that you're in your head and not in your body Your head is trying to make sense of something that doesn't need to be made sense of because all Sensations are already at your fingertips.

So let go and play.

Take a big inhale And a big flushing beautiful exhale and return to your bubble.

Let's do a little bubble check-in You Close your eyes imagine that beautifully thin transparent film of wonderful Energy flow around you surrounding you Bring your attention back to the subtle energy field surrounding you and permeating your body And check has it adapted or morphed through this exploration of sensation and emotion Notice any shifts Sense how the bubble may have changed or not Is the shape different the texture the movement or the energetic qualities Feel its dynamic nature Notice if the bubble feels more open contracted vibrant or calm Does it reflect the shifts in your inner landscape Take a few more breaths sensing the bubbles current state and let yourself be with whatever is present This wordless communication is so ever important We're doing an amazing job and we're almost there This chapter is called emotional labeling one of my favorite phrases And of course,

We're at F which stands for feelings Feelings are the storytellers creating narratives from emotions the mind interprets and narrates emotions providing context and meanings and We all know that humans are meaning making machines crafting volumes of biographical novels in our head.

Oh We're treading in dangerous territory,

I'm sure you've been there before Feelings can either be processed in a helpful healthy way or they are born to die and take you slowly along with them That is if they're not tended with thoughtful intention,

But again,

That's why we're here We're here to practice thoughtful intention with our feelings On the other hand feelings are incredibly important as they create meaning and they are also to be approached with curiosity Creativity adaptability and maybe even some good old common sense So a good way to start to understand feelings is by using that beautiful term emotional labeling feelings label your Emotions,

So let's practice You never want to put our feelings in a box or have them dictate us So we're going to use this final chapter to practice tapping into feeling present now Don't let your mind get fixated on a story go ahead and get comfortable Hmm take a moment and come into the embodied sensation of your present experience Whatever arises at any moment.

Remember you have the movement language localization movement breath Use the formless visual that your body is Giving you to guide you Good now notice the story your mind creates Or maybe it's closed the book Notice where you're at If The mind is narrating instead of letting it take over Approach with the body's wisdom and you know this now Step into the story as you choose not as the narrative chooses for you Let the feeling be present without it dictating your actions or identity Again let the feeling be present without dictating your actions or identity Rather notice the underlying sensations like the bubble And just a little tip Remember that you can always rewrite your story or throw it away altogether The body's flexible adaptable and it'll accompany you on your soul's journey Trust the unfolding and let the emotional body help you navigate the unknown Take a little bit more time here to digest all this beautiful energy we created together So Much gratitude for emoting and moving energy along with me.
