Welcome,
Dear one.
Come to stand in front of a mirror.
Any mirror will work for this practice.
However,
If you have options,
Choose the biggest mirror you have.
And once you arrive here,
Close your eyes.
Take a moment to just pause,
Slow down,
And be with yourself for a moment.
All of your senses begin to direct inwards.
The very act of tuning into our self-awareness,
Feeling our body,
And listening to the subtle sensations may seem small,
But this is in fact an extremely important function of our brain.
Studies show that many survivors of trauma begin to shut off and disconnect from the parts of their brain necessary to feel the sensory information of the body.
This is because it also includes the parts of our brain that are registering emotional distress,
Including our awareness of self.
With this in mind,
We can begin to understand the importance behind this seemingly innate and simple experience.
May we just take this brief moment to feel the sensations within your body.
Can you feel your feet against the ground?
Place your attention on where they make contact with the floor beneath you.
And your calves.
Can you feel the existence of your calves?
Moving up to your knees and thighs,
Place your awareness here,
Feeling your legs today.
And moving up now into your hips and genitals,
And breathing into them.
Sensing the flow of blood,
The muscles and ligaments here,
And the structure of the skeleton resting here.
Now taking a moment to tune into the stomach and digestive organs.
The lower back and bottom of the spine.
Tracing your awareness up your vertebrae.
Notice how your breath expands into the spine.
Guiding your awareness to deepen into the sensations here.
Coming up into your heart and observing the tightness or relaxed nature of your chest.
Letting the rise of your breath guide your attention up into the neck,
Into the jaw,
The tongue resting in the mouth.
What about your forehead?
Breathing into the third eye area.
Noticing any sensations here.
And just observing its existence.
Now the crown of your head,
Your scalp,
Letting your attention rest here for a moment.
Holding yourself as a whole now,
Zooming out to encompass your entire body in your awareness.
Our sense of perception can bring us to the highest highs and the lowest lows.
The middle path,
As referred to in Buddhism,
Is not attachment nor aversion.
So with this tool we have evolved to become intertwined with the mind.
May we come into relation with it in a way that serves our highest expression of self.
Not believing and depending on what moves through it,
Yet not repressing what it says or what thoughts naturally circulate.
With our eyes still remaining shut,
Let us use the mind,
Heart,
And our intentional awareness to enter the perception of deep,
Unapologetic love.
Bring the embodiment of pure,
Crystal clear centered confidence into the lens that you are viewing from.
Tune into this.
Repeating this story,
This lens and perspective within you until you feel it soak into your eyes.
Filling your eyes with the lens of self-celebration.
Knowing in your internal senses how it would feel to know that you are the ingredient that brings out the magic in each moment.
Knowing your presence creates richness and unlocks pathways of ease,
Awakens dormant ecstasy.
That you are wholeheartedly enough.
In fact,
You want to celebrate you.
When you feel you are tuned into this state of knowing and your eyes are ready to look at yourself through this truth,
Take a deep savoring breath in and on your exhale softly blink your eyes open.
Letting your eyes take in the embodiment of this truth reflected back at you.
Breathing in this wondrous sacred reflection.
Can you surrender into adoring yourself?
If you feel any resistance,
Take a deep breath and soften your gaze.
Know that all is welcome in the process of acclimating to this lens.
There is no emotion that may block you from fully acclimating to this reality.
You can allow yourself surrender into the process,
To trust it,
To lean into it and let it unravel and still continuing to lean into the celebration of possibilities.
Looking at this reflection of sacred beauty in front of you,
A being you can trust,
Powerful,
Intuitive.
Allow yourself to not just see it,
But to hold this in your body,
Welcoming it into your cells.
Through any challenge,
You are walking with the best of the best.
You have yourself this beautiful self to treasure.
So much potent creativity,
A beautiful heart.
Can you acknowledge yourself as an embodiment of what you admire most?
Allowing yourself to see the power within you,
The magnetic presence,
The sexy,
Intelligent,
Intuitive being.
And I will leave you here for the next few minutes to explore allowing yourself to be in this state,
To explore,
Perhaps exploring movement.
Movement away from self-judgment,
Movement in the presence of honoring your worth,
Honoring this energy moving through you.
Taking this sacred moment to embody your highest potential,
Your highest state of celebration,
Your truth.
And now coming back to stillness if you have been in movement and guiding your attention into the reflection of your eyes.
And looking at this being in front of you,
So wise,
So rich.
Can you tune into their heart and want you to speak a sentence to them that they need to hear?
As you tune in,
Let these words be spoken from your heart with your purest intentions.
And now softly wrapping yourself up in a loving embrace.
Knowing that we can only experience this reality through the lens that we look through.
We can choose any lens to look through,
Any energy to hold in our body,
To fill out our body posture,
Filling ourselves with confidence,
Self-worth,
Creativity,
Excitement for life,
The trust in ourselves.
And closing your eyes here,
Breathing in and slowly breathing out.
Bring your hands to meet that heart center and Anjali Mudra,
Prayer position.
Bowing your head slightly,
Acknowledging this sacred time with self.
And as you're ready,
Letting your hands go,
Taking another deep breath in,
Letting your breath fully out and softly blinking your eyes open,
Coming back to your surroundings.
And giving yourself time and space to integrate and to move slowly after this journey.
