Welcome to Spiritual Safekeeping,
A short collection of thoughts and practices to assist with keeping your energy positive and protected for each day of the week.
In this Friday edition,
We will explore grounding.
Fridays are the end of the traditional work week.
As such,
We begin looking forward to spending more time doing the things that truly matter to us.
By this alone,
We are already seeking one of the key ingredients in the practice of Wicca or witchcraft,
Grounding.
Regardless of which day of the week it is,
All of us need time to rest and reestablish our foundations.
This applies to our spirituality as well.
Think about what drew you to the craft and what you continue to find appealing about it.
This might prompt you to do a bit of journaling,
Update your grimoire,
Or seek out some quiet time in nature.
You might decide to write some new spells,
Reacquaint yourself with crystals,
Or come up with a short ritual of your own that you can perform once a week for strengthening your energetic foundation.
The possibilities are endless,
And with Wicca being a nature-based spirituality,
Going outside to see the sun or the moon rise or set could very well be the catalyst.
In Wicca,
The tree of life is a familiar symbol that represents,
Among other things,
A connection between two realms.
As with any tree,
We see that any form of reaching outward is impossible without a sturdy foundation.
Grounding and nurturing your root system is essential to your well-being and spiritual edification,
And is worthy of your spiritual safekeeping.
The crow flies from me to thee,
To send the message,
Blessed be.
