Begin this meditation in a seated position,
Preferably on the ground or on a floor.
Being outdoors is wonderful for this time,
But anywhere you are is just fine.
Close your eyes and relax your jaw,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
Take a few slow,
Deep breaths and,
As you do,
Visualize any and all tension flowing out of your body.
Once you have fully relaxed,
Become aware of your breath.
Perhaps you will wish to use the Prithvi Mudra,
A mudra for grounding,
By bringing the tips of your ring fingers and your thumbs together.
As you continue concentrating on your breath,
Sense yourself anchoring into the earth,
Feeling the earth's support.
You are welcome here.
You are safe here.
And you are wanted here,
My dear friend.
Envision the stability of a large tree with far-reaching roots.
Feel that same balance within yourself.
And with that balance,
Spend a few moments finding harmony with all things,
Including yourself.
Spend a few more moments enjoying stability.
Absorbing the energy of the earth.
Relaxing.
At your own pace,
Begin bringing subtle movements into your body,
With your fingers and toes,
And eventually into the rest of your body,
As this meditation concludes.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes and take another deep breath.
As you go about your day,
Do so knowing that you are welcome,
Safe,
Wanted,
And grounded.
And grounded.
The crow flies from me to thee,
To send the message,
Blessed be.
Namaste.
You are welcome here.
