Are you ready to meditate with Cori?

Lie down in your bed and make sure that you're really comfortable.

That way you can relax your body and let go of your busy,

Busy day.

Hopefully,

As you listen to the story,

You'll fall to sleep and have the bestest dreams.

Tucker and Leo were on the way to the groomers.

They were going with Lottie and Tom,

Maya and Esme.

They were going to the groomers with their friends because Leo really didn't want to go.

And Tucker thought it would be more fun if they went with their friends.

Tucker said,

Come on,

Leo.

It's only your toenails.

It's just for your toenails,

Leo.

They're so long.

They're so long that the splitting,

They're so long.

And my nails are so long.

My nails are scripply and scrappy on the floor when I walk around.

It's like I can barely walk.

I feel like I've got curly,

Longish toenails that are curly and long.

And they're that curly and long that they could go around the corner before I even get there.

They're so curly and long.

Look at him.

It's been so long,

Esme.

It's been so long since I had my toenails cut.

And I'm so happy that we're going with you guys.

And I'm so happy that your mum said that she would take us because it's so nice of her.

Because my mum was busy working.

And luckily,

Your mummy and my mummy know each other.

And that's why we can go with you,

Esme.

And that's so nice.

Yes,

I like that a lot.

Anyway,

Look,

Leo,

It's just your toenails,

Leo.

It's just your clawsy claws.

It's just that you don't have to go and get your hair cut.

You don't have to go and have a horrible bath where they scrub your little bottom.

You don't have to do that.

You don't have to go where they poke your ears.

I don't like that.

Sometimes I do like that,

Actually.

Sometimes it is very nice.

I like it when dad does that,

When he scratches and scratches and scratches in my ears.

And then it feels so nice.

Yeah,

I know you don't like it,

Leo.

So you don't have to do that either,

Leo.

Leo,

Just chill out.

It's OK.

It's just your toenails.

Leo was frowning,

Staring out of the window.

Lottie and Tom were sat next to him,

Stroking him,

Trying to make him feel better.

Leo said,

I just don't like the place.

I don't like the smell.

I don't like the people.

I don't like the direction in which way we're going because I know exactly where we're going because I'm so smart and I mapped out all the roads and which corners and which way.

And I can even smell the place.

I can smell the place already and we're about five miles away.

I can smell the place and I'm so stressed.

I just don't like it.

Leo was literally frowning,

Staring out of the window.

Tucker said,

I can smell it too.

I can smell those dog treats that they keep on the side for after we've had his toenails cut.

And I'm excited about them.

I think they smell like shaman,

Shaman ones,

Leo.

Leo said,

Yeah,

I know.

I can smell them,

But I'm still not excited about going.

Maya said,

I'll be with you the whole time,

Leo.

There's no need to be nervous.

I'll make sure that I do nice things and I stroke you and I tickle your ears and maybe we can have a peanut butter treat.

I brought your Kong and I've put some peanut butter in and you can have that while you have your toenails cut.

How's that?

That sounds nice,

Right?

Leo said,

Thanks,

Maya.

That does sound nice,

But still,

I just don't want to go.

And then there was a clink and a clank and a noise and Esme's mom pulled the car over to the side of the road.

They got a flat tire.

Oh,

No,

Said Esme's mom.

I have a flat tire.

We're going to miss the groomer's appointment if I don't get this fixed soon.

Leo smiled.

Tucker said,

Oh,

No,

There goes my salmon treats.

Tucker stuck his head out the window,

Talking to Esme's mom.

How long is it going to take,

Mrs.

Esme's mom?

How long is it going to take?

Is it going to take a week?

Is it going to take a year?

Is it going to take 10 months?

Is it going to take 10 minutes?

How long is it going to take?

Is it going to take forever or is it just going to take a little bit of time?

Esme's mom,

Can you change tires?

I think I can change a tire,

Esme's mom.

I've seen it on a program one time and I think I have a very strong jaw.

I could definitely do that nuts and bolts part.

You know the part where some people have to jump on them because they're so,

So tight.

I bet you any money I could help you,

Esme's mom.

Esme's mom didn't understand a word Tucker was saying.

To Esme's mom,

Tucker was just growling away and barking and munching on his mouth and doing different things and making different noises.

That kind of thing.

Because as we know,

Not everyone is lucky enough to understand Tucker and Leo.

Maya said,

Well,

Maybe we can get you a salmon treat from the store later.

We could all take a walk there.

If we don't get to the groomers today,

We could do that.

We could walk to the store that's near the park.

We could go to the dog park and then we could go to the store.

We could get some salmon dog treats and then that would be a really nice day.

Esme said,

Oh yeah,

That sounds fun.

I like the dog park.

Leo pulled his pain face again as if he was in pain,

Serious pain.

Oh,

I really don't like the dog park.

Tucker said,

Oh,

Doggy park.

You could see him practically slavering right there in his seat,

Thinking about all the puppies he could chew on.

Oh,

I do like that doggy park.

I like that doggy park a lot.

You know what?

My mummy doesn't take me to the doggy park enough.

Leo said,

Yeah,

We know why.

Tucker said,

Oh,

Stop it,

Leo.

I think I've grown up a little bit.

I think now if I went to the doggy park,

I wouldn't be chewing on all of those puppies.

Those little puppies,

Oh,

They are delicious and they smell so good.

But no,

I don't think I'd chew on them because I've been so used to being around my cat friends and I've been around some puppy friends and I didn't eat anyone.

And I'm very proud of myself.

I've got so many cat friends now.

I know,

I know Heidi.

I know Cherry.

I know Raya.

I know,

I know,

I know,

I know Mr.

Kitty.

I know Mr.

Pudding.

I know,

Gosh,

I know so many.

I can't think of them all right now,

But I know so many.

And I didn't eat not one single one of them.

Not even a chew on their tails.

Not one little bite of their little cheeky cheeks.

Not one little shook on their little paws.

Nothing like that.

I didn't do anything like that,

Leo.

So give me some credit.

Leo said,

Well,

OK,

We can try the dog park.

But,

You know,

I'm going to be stressed before we go.

And if you attack any dogs or any puppies,

Then that's the last time I'm going to the dog park with you,

Tucker.

Tucker said,

OK,

Leo.

It's on.

It's on.

It's on like run.

We can do it.

We can definitely do it.

And I think I will be so good at just playing and chilling and playing.

Esme's mum popped her head up towards the window and told the kids inside of the car that she was going to have to call AAA.

She couldn't get the bolts open.

Tucker said,

I told you I could do that for you,

Mrs.

Esme's.

Mum,

I told you,

I told you,

I told you.

Mrs.

Esme's mum rubbed between Tucker's ears,

Smiled at him,

And then grabbed her phone out of her purse and started to call AAA.

It's a shame.

It's a shame some of these adults don't understand a word we're saying,

Leo.

They're lost.

Our wisdom,

Our knowledge,

Our whole personality is lost on these adults.

It's such a shame.

Why don't you tell your mum,

Esme,

That I can change her attire?

Esme said,

My mum will think I'm crazy,

Tucker,

If I tell her that.

OK,

Then,

Said Tucker.

Well,

We'll let her phone the double,

Triple,

Whatever it was,

AAAA.

We'll do that.

We'll let her do that.

And then,

While we wait,

I think we should play some games.

Because breaking down on the side of the road is the worst.

What game should we play,

Leo?

Leo said,

We could play I Spy.

Maya said,

Oh,

I like I Spy.

Tom said,

Oh,

I Spy's the worst.

It's so boring.

Leo said,

I Spy's boring?

Tom said,

Yeah,

It's boring.

I say we play slapsies.

Tucker liked the sound of that.

Whoosh,

That then?

Tom said,

That's when you put your hands together.

And then you put your hands together,

Or your paws.

And then we hold them close to each other.

And then the first one that can slap each other's hands.

Well,

You know,

They're awesome.

Ooh,

I like the sound of that.

Tucker held his two front paws together as if he was doing a prayer position with his paws.

And he put them in front of Tom.

Tom put his hands together in a prayer and put them next to Tucker's.

So Tucker's nails were touching Tom's fingernails.

And then Tom said,

All right,

Go.

He quickly slapped Tucker's paw.

Tucker said,

Ooch.

Tom said,

You've got to be faster than that,

Tucker.

See if you can slap me.

Tucker went to slap Tom's hand with his paw.

And Tom pulled his hands out the way really fast.

And Tucker missed and almost span around and fell off the chair.

That's not very nice,

That game.

Leo said,

I think I can play that game.

Tucker said,

You what?

You want to play slapsies?

Are you crazy?

Leo put his two front paws together and put them next to Tom's hands.

Leo smacked Tom really fast.

Tom said,

Wow,

Leo,

You're fast.

Right,

Watch out,

Leo.

Are you ready for this?

Tom got his serious game face on,

Put his hands together,

And went to smack Leo.

Leo,

Zoomy,

Zoomy,

Pulled his hands out the way,

And Tom missed.

Leo put his hands back to Tom's and slapped him again,

And then again,

And then again,

And then again.

Over and over and over,

Leo was absolutely winning every single time.

Over and over,

Winning Tom.

Tucker couldn't believe it.

When did you get so good at something like as horrible game as this?

I can't believe it.

I can't believe it.

Maya,

Can you believe that Leo is good at slapsies?

Lottie said,

No one wins Tom.

Tom's like the best at slapsies.

I can't believe that Leo's winning Tom.

Esme said,

Go,

Leo,

Go.

Go,

Leo,

Go.

Over and over and over again,

Leo kept winning.

Tom said,

I can't believe how good you are at this,

Leo.

That's berserk.

Leo said,

I don't know.

I must just be a natural at it.

Tom said,

Can you floss?

Leo said,

You mean your teeth?

Tucker said,

Oh,

No,

Leo doesn't like tooth flossing.

He doesn't like his teeth being brushed at all.

He doesn't like any of that.

Luckily,

Mum gives us these special chewies that makes us so we can brush our teeth while we chew.

But yes,

No,

Definitely don't floss.

And I have never flossed.

But I do like floss.

One time,

I found a packet of floss in the bathroom.

And I chewed on it.

And I pulled it.

And it got all wrapped around my paws and stuck in my teeth and everything.

And mum took ages getting it out.

Do you remember,

Leo?

Leo said,

Yes,

I do.

That was really funny.

But no,

We don't floss.

Tom said,

I'm not talking about floss,

What you do with your teeth.

I'm talking about dancing.

Like,

Do you floss?

Tom stood up in the car and started flossing.

Esme started flossing with him.

Then Lottie flossed.

And then Maya flossed.

They were all flossing in the car.

Tucker started laughing and said,

What's going on with you all?

Are you OK?

Leo said,

That is a very silly looking dance.

I am not doing that.

Tucker tried to floss.

It was very funny.

His back end wouldn't match up with his front end.

And he kept getting it all wrong and the timing wrong.

And he was trying to swish his paws from side to side.

But it just wasn't working.

But he kept laughing.

It was very funny.

Esme's mum looked in the window and saw them all flossing.

She told them all it was going to be 45 minutes before the AAA guys could send out anyone to help her.

So get busy.

Entertain yourself,

She said.

Mind you,

It looks like you already are.

Maya said,

Can anyone do this?

She started sliding back as if she was moonwalking like Michael Jackson.

What on earth is that,

Said Leo.

It's moonwalking,

Said Maya.

Try it,

Leo said.

How are you supposed to do that in a car?

There's no room in here.

Everyone then was trying to do moonwalking.

Well,

Everyone except Leo.

Leo just thought it looked silly.

Just like flossing.

After a while,

The kids got really bored.

And Tom even suggested that they played I Spy.

He was so bored.

That made Leo very happy.

They played I Spy for quite a long time.

They spotted everything that they could possibly spot around them.

Everything green,

Everything tall,

Everything brown,

Everything yellow,

Everything red,

Everything starting with every single letter in the alphabet.

They did it all.

Finally,

The AAA guy came and fixed the tyre.

But,

Unfortunately for Tucker,

They missed their appointment at the groomers.

Fortunately for Leo,

They missed their appointment at the groomers.

Which made him very,

Very,

Very happy.

Another day.

Hooray,

He said.

The kids did what they said they were going to do earlier.

They went to the store and got some salmon flavoured treats for the dogs.

And then they went to the park.

They threw a ball around.

The dogs chased the ball for a while.

Luckily,

There wasn't any other doggies that Tucker could eat at the park.

And everyone had a lovely time together.

Much better than if they'd have gone to the groomers.

That's what Leo thought anyway.

The end.

ch. 1. I sat in the rumbling car, jutting up and down on the bumpy road. Marble, my Emotional Support Stuffed Animal, or ESSA, rested between my legs, her leash in my hands. I let out a sigh and huffed a stray strand of hair out of my sight. I looked out the window. Barren land. Boring. The landscape kept repeating itself- the same old desert. "We're almost out of this boring wasteland." my dad piped up, as if reading my mind. I put my headphones on, turning my music on and staring out the window again, resting my head on the seatbelt. It dug into my neck, but i ignored it and picked up my sketchbook and pencil, folding my legs onto the seat. Buried in my little sanctuary of music, I started drawing. Shapes, colors, lines, flowing curves, and random things I could find.

Reply with anything other than :), :)) or thanks. Get creative! Edit: I’m sorry, I didn’t mean for it to come across that way. I probably should of done a better job phrasing that. It was just supposed to be a fun challenge. It really is a good meditation tho. :)

She’s supportive of everything I do! (I plan to send it to her, she’ll be so happy!)
