ch. 1.

I sat in the rumbling car, jutting up and down on the bumpy road. Marble, my Emotional Support Stuffed Animal, or ESSA, rested between my legs, her leash in my hands. I let out a sigh and huffed a stray strand of hair out of my sight. I looked out the window. Barren land. Boring. The landscape kept repeating itself- the same old desert.
"We're almost out of this boring wasteland." my dad piped up, as if reading my mind.
I put my headphones on, turning my music on and staring out the window again, resting my head on the seatbelt. It dug into my neck, but i ignored it and picked up my sketchbook and pencil, folding my legs onto the seat. Buried in my little sanctuary of music, I started drawing. Shapes, colors, lines, flowing curves, and random things I could find.

Edit: I’m sorry, I didn’t mean for it to come across that way. I probably should of done a better job phrasing that. It was just supposed to be a fun challenge. It really is a good meditation tho. :)
