Are you ready to meditate with Corrie?
Make sure that you're all snuggly and warm in your bed.
You have your favorite stuffies with you if you like to cuddle your stuffies at night.
Make sure that everything is just right so that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,
Busy day.
It was a very special day for Margaret.
It was Margaret's birthday.
She was having a party and she was super excited.
She was already waiting in the house with her little sister,
Elo,
And Juju,
Her friend,
And also Paul,
Her friend.
They were waiting for Tucker and Leo to come.
Margaret was very excited because she was very talkative like Tucker and she had an excitable personality like Tucker,
But she was also very kind of sensitive and meek and mild like Leo can be sometimes.
So she really loved Tucker and Leo and Tucker and Leo thought she was the best thing ever.
So they were very excited about going to a birthday party.
The doorbell rang and Margaret went running to the front door.
It was Tucker and Leo.
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
Oh.
Tucker was shaking his tail around and running around in circles.
He was very excited.
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
I'm so excited.
I'm so excited.
Margaret,
It's been so hard this week.
It's been so hard to not get too excited.
I could barely sleep.
I could barely eat.
I was like,
Leo,
Is it Margaret's birthday yet?
Leo,
Is it Margaret's birthday yet?
Leo looked at Margaret and rolled his eyes.
He's been doing it every single day,
Multiple times of day,
And it's driving me crazy,
Margaret.
Margaret started laughing.
Come in,
Come in,
She said.
Tucker bounded through the front door.
Oh,
Oh,
I can smell cake.
He knew instantly that there was going to be cake there because it was a birthday party,
But his nose had smelled cake from down the street.
He could smell it.
It was chocolate cake.
He wasn't supposed to eat chocolate cake.
He wasn't supposed to eat chocolate,
But this was a very special occasion.
And as we know,
Tucker has,
Well,
He's eaten multiple things he's not supposed to eat.
So a bit of chocolate cake in his mind isn't bad at all.
Leo,
On the other hand,
Would probably definitely have an allergic reaction to chocolate cake.
So he wasn't caring whether he could smell chocolate cake or not because he knew he probably wouldn't be able to eat it.
Where is it?
Where is it?
Said Tucker.
Where's that chocolate cake?
I can smell the chocolate cake.
I can smell it.
It's making my toes tingle.
It's making my ears twitch.
It's making my nose get all funny and tingly on the end.
I need some chocolate cake right now.
Margaret said,
You can't have chocolate cake right now.
That's like my birthday cake.
You have to wait till later when everyone gives presents and sings and all of that stuff.
Oh,
Said Tucker.
That's so boring.
Jojo,
Paul,
Hello.
Do you think that this is very boring?
Having to have rules on your birthday,
Having to have rules at your party.
I say you can eat cake anytime you want to because it's your birthday.
It's your birthday,
Margaret.
And you're eight years old and you can share whether you want cake morning,
Lunch or dinner time or night time or you can save your cake for tomorrow or you can save your cake in a Tupperware in the freezer if you wanted to.
I like that word Tupperware.
I just learnt it last week because mummy had got this new meat that she was giving us.
She was giving us this new meat.
I forgot what it was called.
What is it called?
Gibblets.
That's it.
Gibbelets.
And I was like,
Oh,
This is like very delicious.
What is it?
Leo said,
Oh,
That's like the insides of an animal.
Tucker said,
Oh,
It's delicious.
Not caring at all about the fact that it was the insides of an animal.
Leo,
On the other hand,
Had a couple of sniffs at his giblets and decided that it wasn't really into liver and heart and all of the things that were mixed in with it.
So he just passed and Tucker ate Leo's as well.
So,
Yes,
What I was saying was mummy got this new meat,
Right,
Gibbelets.
That's a good word too.
Gibbelets and Tupperware.
And she put the gibbelets in the Tupperware and she froze it.
And then when she gave it to us,
It was all rock hard and it was like chewing on an iceberg.
And I was like,
Oh,
This is very nice,
Whatever it is.
Gibbelets.
Anyway,
Yes,
So she could put a cake in Tupperware and then she could freeze it if she wanted to.
I think that that would be fun because then,
Like three months from now,
She could have a piece of cake and she'd be like,
Oh,
This is still my birthday cake and it's still really nice.
Margaret said,
Yeah,
Well,
We'll see.
I'm sure it's not going to be too long before we have cake,
So don't worry about it.
Come outside.
We've got lots of games and things on the garden.
Everyone followed Margaret out back.
They got some beanbag games.
She got skipping ropes out there.
She got soccer balls.
She got chalk so that they could draw things.
The first thing that Tucker found was like a tiny,
Tiny little hole where apparently Margaret's mum was going to put some flowers,
But then she got too busy preparing for the party.
So she'd left the hole thinking that she was going to put the flowers in it after everything had calmed down and everyone had left the party and all of that stuff.
So there was a little hole,
Just a tiny little hole in the garden,
In the bedding area.
And Tucker found it.
Leo looked at Tucker and said,
Do not be digging here at Margaret's house.
Tucker said,
What,
Leo?
What?
I can't help myself.
You know,
I've been on a bit of a digging bender at the moment.
I've been having so much fun with my digging,
Margaret.
If you let me dig,
I bet you any money we end up going somewhere very magical.
Margaret said,
Go for it,
Tucker.
I don't think mum will mind.
Actually,
You might be helping her because you'll be digging more holes for the plants.
Tucker kept looking around.
He kept hearing a cat.
There was a cat in the background meowing.
He heard it again.
It kept meowing.
Tucker looked at Margaret and said,
Why do I hear a cat,
Margaret?
I'm hearing cat.
Did you hear it?
Did you hear it?
I heard it again.
It was there again and again.
There it is again,
Margaret said.
That's Veya.
Veya,
Said Tucker.
And he started running around in circles.
Veya,
Veya,
Where's Veya?
Come out,
Veya.
Come to play.
Where are you?
Where are you?
I can hear you.
I can hear you.
Margaret's cat,
Veya,
Came outside.
She was meowing away.
Meow,
Meow.
That's not Veya,
Said Tucker.
Tucker thought that the cat was actually Heidi,
Cherry and Veya.
But it wasn't Heidi,
Cherry and Veya.
It was Veya.
Margaret had a cat called Veya also.
She was very talkative.
She kept meowing and meowing and meowing.
That is not Veya,
Said Tucker.
He heard her over and over and over again.
She talks way too much.
Veya doesn't talk that much.
Listen to her.
Listen.
She's talking all the time.
Veya's quiet.
Veya,
Be quiet,
Kitty.
Veya's quite,
Quite quiet.
She's very quiet.
And she's,
She's like a princess and she's,
She's quite shy.
That's not,
That's not,
She's an imposter.
Let's call the police,
Leo,
Because that's not the Veya that I know.
That's a different Veya with the same name,
Like a copycat.
Veya proceeded to meow a lot.
She just kept going and going and going,
Leo said.
Tucker,
It's not an imposter.
It's just a different cat that's called Veya,
Tucker said.
I'm calling the police.
I'm calling the police.
I'm going to call the police.
I'm going to call the FBI.
I'm going to call the CIA because she's an imposter.
She doesn't even look like Veya.
Well,
She does a little bit.
She meows a bit like her when she meows.
Listen to her though,
She says.
Oh,
She does this meow,
Meow,
Meow,
Meow,
Meow.
She meows so much,
It's making my ears go funny.
I think I might just go over to this flower bed and just go check out that hole for a minute.
Margaret said,
Is it okay if I come with you?
Leo and Tucker looked at each other and Tucker looked,
Looked very excited and he said,
Do I have a fellow hole digger?
Do you want to be digging with my hole with me?
Because I like to dig holes and I like it even more when someone wants to dig a hole with me.
And if we dig a hole together,
Margaret,
Maybe we can get away from that noisy kitty.
She talks way too much.
I mean,
I talk a lot.
Margaret,
You talk a lot.
We're good at talking a lot of things together,
But maybe it would be even better if we dig together.
That would be really fun.
Margaret went over to where her mum were planning on digging holes,
More holes,
Proper holes for the flowers.
There was a couple of holes already dug.
Tucker started digging.
He was digging.
And then Margaret said,
I'm going to dig too.
She started digging and Tucker looked at Margaret and said,
Margaret,
You're a little girl.
You're not supposed to be digging,
But go on then.
And he started digging more and Margaret started digging more and then Ello came over and then Juju came over and then Paul came over and then Tucker came over and then they were all watching them digging.
And then,
And then they seemed to dig the hole so deep that they all kind of fell into it and disappeared.
It was brown,
Very brown where they ended up.
At first,
Every single one of them thought it was just dirt,
Dirt in their eyes,
So much mud and dirt,
But it wasn't.
It was like they ended up somewhere brown.
And then Tucker started to sniff frantically.
He was getting very excited.
Oh,
Can you smell what I smell,
What I smell,
Margaret?
Leo,
Can you smell it?
Can you smell it?
Ello,
Can you smell it?
Can you smell it,
Juju?
Can you smell it,
Paul?
Everyone was sniffing.
Margaret said,
I can just smell cake,
Chocolate cake.
All I can smell is chocolate cake.
They looked around and it looked like they were in a world of chocolate cake.
There was frosting everywhere.
And it was like,
You know when you look around outside and you see trees,
But they weren't trees.
They were chocolate cakes.
And you'd see mountains.
They weren't mountains.
They were chocolate cakes.
And you'd see valleys and rivers and you'd see flowers.
And in the sky,
You'd see birds.
There was no sky.
There was no birds.
There was no flowers.
There was no grass.
There was nothing that you would expect to be in the garden except chocolate cake.
They were standing on chocolate cake.
Leo said,
Oh,
I can feel it itching my paws already.
Tucker started bouncing around like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.
Oh,
It's so spongy,
He said.
Margaret said,
Oh,
Taste it,
Taste it.
Everyone tasted the chocolate cake that they were standing on.
Then they started running around all over the place tasting the chocolate cake trees or what would be the chocolate cake mountains or what would be the chocolate cake sky or what would be the chocolate cake valley.
Vea,
The cat,
Was meowing frantically.
Tucker said,
I thought this chocolate cake world would shut Vea up,
But it didn't.
And then he started laughing again.
Vea,
Just be quiet and eat some chocolate cake.
Vea started munching on chocolate cake and was finally quiet for a second.
But there was no guarantee that she was going to stay quiet.
She was just going to probably keep meowing.
That imposter of a cat is so noisy,
Said Tucker.
They ate a lot of chocolate cake.
Not one single one of them questioned why they'd fell through the hole in the garden and ended up in a chocolate cake world.
They were so into the chocolate cake that they'd also just like lost their minds,
Lost the will to have any kind of cognitive sense inside of the brains because the chocolate cake was so dreamy and delicious.
The only one of them that had any sense still was Leo.
Because Leo didn't eat the chocolate cake,
Because he knew he'd have an allergic reaction and probably get hives.
Leo said,
What are you all doing?
Stop eating so much cake.
You're going to get cake brain and then you're not going to be able to think your way back to the party.
And then Margaret's mum's going to go berserk because we dug a big hole and we all disappeared.
And then we're going to get in trouble.
And then I'm going to get nervous rash.
And then I'm going to get hives even more.
And then,
Oh my gosh,
Everybody snap out of your chocolate cake coma.
Leo was smacking his paws together as if he was trying to clap and make everybody start to think straight.
Margaret was looking a little bit loopy.
Oh,
This cake's so good,
She said.
Her eyes were rolling up to the sky as if it was the bestest thing in the world.
Tucker had got a big fat chocolate cake belly already.
He'd eaten so much.
Oh,
I could barely move.
I'm so full.
Oh,
It's so nice here in chocolate cake world.
I told you if you just followed me while I was digging,
You would find the bestest things.
I don't know whether it's my imagination,
Whether it's my crazy brain,
Whether it's just I don't know.
But every time I dig a hole,
I end up somewhere absolutely brilliant.
Margaret said,
This is the bestest place I've ever been.
I don't want to leave.
Leo said,
Oh,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No.
Juju,
Paul,
Come on.
Ello,
Come on.
Shake it off.
Wake up.
We got to go.
We got to go back to the party.
Margaret said,
It's my birthday and I can do whatever I want.
I'm staying here.
By now,
Margaret was rolling around in the frosting,
Absolutely covered in the stuff.
It was in her hair.
It was stuck in her ears.
It was in her eyelashes.
And she didn't care at all.
She just was swimming in it,
Like trying to make snow angels.
But she was making chocolate frosting angels.
Crazy girl.
Tucker had already fell asleep.
He was so full and happy and absolutely crazy on chocolate cake that he just fell unconscious.
He was so full,
Like a tick.
He was snoring away.
Leo had an idea.
Maybe if he started digging in the chocolate cake,
He would dig his way back to the party.
It didn't make any sense.
He was quite convinced it wasn't going to work.
But he started to dig,
Being a dog and all.
He was a very good digger.
It's just that Leo was also a good dog and he didn't dig holes,
Not like Tucker.
But he was digging now.
He felt like he was digging for his life.
He had all of these kids and Tucker and Vea,
The imposter cat,
Relying on him to get them back to the real world.
He was digging and digging,
Digging and digging.
And at the same time,
He was also praying,
Oh,
Please get us home.
Oh,
Please get us home.
Please,
Please,
Please get us home.
And then he heard a pop and then he saw sunlight.
Then he saw a blue sky and he saw birds flying in that blue sky.
And he could hear people talking.
And then someone laughed really loud and it sounded like Margaret's mum.
He digged some more and broke a hole through to reality,
Back to the other side.
The sunlight and the voices and the blue sky seemed to bring everyone out of their chocolate cake coma and they all piled out of the hole and fell on the other side,
Back in the garden.
Leo didn't know what had happened.
It didn't make any sense.
Margaret stood up and she had a big chocolate cake belly.
Elo stood up and she had a big chocolate cake belly.
Vea had a chocolate cake belly.
Tucker had a chocolate cake belly.
Paul had a chocolate cake belly.
And Juju had a chocolate cake belly.
They all had chocolate cake bellies.
Big,
Round,
Full,
Delicious chocolate cake bellies.
Margaret's mum walked over and said,
Ah,
That's where you all are.
All right,
So are we ready for chocolate cake?
It's time for birthday cake,
Guys.
Everyone looked at each other and started rolling around on the floor,
Laughing uncontrollably,
Laughing a lot.
And Leo said,
Um,
If it's okay,
Maybe we'll pass for now.
We were just about to play some football.
Margaret's mum looked a little bit confused.
She'd never heard of kids and animals passing on chocolate cake before.
But she said,
Okay,
Well,
It's your birthday.
I'll let you guys play football first.
Margaret said,
Thanks,
Mum.
And then they all proceeded to carry on rolling around on the floor,
Laughing when everyone went home.
Margaret laid in bed that night thinking about her birthday and how absolutely awesome it was.
It made no sense at all how they got to chocolate cake world,
But they did.
She totally believes it.
She was still burping up chocolate cake.
It was real,
Definitely real.
She just couldn't explain how it happened.
But it was still the bestest birthday that she'd ever,
Ever had.
The end.
