Are you ready to meditate with Kori?
Make sure that you're all comfortable in your bed.
Everything is right in your room.
The lights are not too bright.
Your bed is warm and comfortable.
The rest of the world is getting ready to go to sleep.
And so are you.
Have you ever thought about the wind?
How she blows through the trees,
Rustling their leaves,
Caressing the branches.
She moves the leaves,
Making them sing so that they can talk to other trees in the forest.
Did you ever think that the wind did such a thing that she was moving the trees so that they could speak to each other?
She blows the clouds across the sky.
When you look up at the sky,
Did you ever think that the wind was what was moving the clouds through the sky?
Forever changing their shape and size and colour.
She helps the clouds to change.
We all need to change and grow.
It's impossible to stay the same.
From day to day,
Moment to moment,
Your life is always changing.
Your body is growing.
It's aging.
Your cells,
Your fingernails,
Your hair.
Have you noticed what it feels like when the wind pays you a visit?
She blows through your hair,
Tickles your skin.
When she blows hard,
She can make your eyes water,
Tears run down your face.
You pull your clothes or your jacket in tight,
Especially when she's cold.
Did you ever think that the wind had that much power?
She constantly changes the planet,
Blowing seeds that fall from the trees or flowers,
Spreading them around,
Helping them to multiply and grow in other places.
In different seasons,
She blows the leaves off the trees,
Helps the trees to let go of everything old.
Sometimes she plays tricks and blows really,
Really fast.
She can blow signs of signposts,
Blow trees down.
She can blow parts of buildings flying through the sky.
She can blow your hat off.
She can even blow you over so that you fall and go rolling down the hill.
But then she can be your best friend on a hot summer's day.
When all of a sudden a cool breeze blows through and refreshes your skin,
Cools you down,
She feels like the best thing in the world on a hot summer's day.
There's so much about the wind that we never really think about.
What about like now when you're laid in your bed and the wind is blowing outside,
The sound of her blowing around your home,
Through the sky,
Through the trees,
Helps to lull your body into a deep relaxation.
It sounds comforting to know you're in your nice warm bed and the wind is blowing out there.
You're in the streets of dirt and rubble,
Making everything new for when you wake up tomorrow.
This can help you to feel safe.
You can relax,
Let your body get sleepy and heavy.
Feel warm,
All tucked up in your bed,
While the wind is clearing the earth,
Making space for a whole new day.
Close your eyes and know that all is well.
You can let your body start to completely let go.
Allow your fingers and your hands,
Your arms,
To get heavy.
Your toes,
Your feet,
Your legs,
Get heavy.
Your face,
Your eyes,
Cheeks,
Nose,
Ears,
Jaw,
Get heavy.
Your shoulders,
Chest,
Tummy,
Ribs,
Lungs,
Heart,
Your body,
Your mind,
Your body,
Your body,
Everything,
Gets heavy.
You're so,
So sleepy.
The wind is blowing and you're so relaxed,
So comfortable.
Very,
Very comfortable in your nice,
Warm bed,
In your house,
Protected,
And safe from the wind,
The rain,
Snow,
The hot sun,
Whatever's going on out there.
You're safe and so,
So relaxed.
Your body gets heavier and heavier,
Sleepier and sleepier.
Your body gets heavier and heavier,
Sleepier and sleepier.
Your body gets heavier and heavier,
Sleepier and sleepier.
Your body gets heavier and heavier,
Sleepier and sleepier.
