Let this Guided Meditation, Surrender to Sleep, take you into a very deep, sweet, and peaceful relaxation. Allow me to help you surrender to sleep, to rest your tired body, to love you enough to just let go!
Transcript
Welcome to this deeply relaxing meditation with Corrie.
Lay down on your bed.
Get yourself comfortable.
Make sure that you're going to be able to be still and not be moving around too much.
The stillness will allow your body to start to really soften so that you can get that sensation of almost feeling like your body is disappearing.
It's just dissolving away,
Falling into a really deep place,
A deep relaxation.
Close your eyes so that you can let go of your surroundings.
Closing your eyes means it's time to relax.
Sending signals to the brain that it's time to stop thinking about your day and everything that's happened.
To let go of all those circular thoughts that just keep coming and going and coming and going.
Now that your eyes are closed,
It's time to pull your awareness inward.
To focus on you,
Your body and everything that you're feeling in this moment.
Notice all of the subtle feelings inside of yourself.
Feel if your body feels heavy and tired.
Does your body feel good?
Do you feel energized and open?
If you have any aches or pains in your body,
Just take the next few breaths as you breathe in and breathe out to pull that breath into that part of your body to give yourself a little bit of love and healing with your breath.
It's time to slow down your world.
Deepen your breath so that you're taking long,
Slow inhales and exhales.
Slowing down your heart,
Slowing down your pulse,
Your thoughts.
Let your breath start to send signals to your brain that you're calm,
You're peaceful.
All is well.
I have a nice,
Slow breath.
We can feel relaxed.
We can feel safe.
Let your body absorb those thoughts.
I'm relaxed.
I'm safe.
Your body will respond.
Let your body drop deeper into the surface that you're laying on as if there's a shift,
A release inside of you that allows your body to just let go.
You're safe.
You can relax.
Your body can surrender to the bliss of doing nothing,
Just being still and quiet.
It's all you need right now.
Start to see your breath inside your mind's eye.
What's your favorite color?
What's a color that you feel drawn to in this moment?
Allow that color to come into your mind.
Visualize that color like a big cloud of light there in front of your face.
Breathe that color in through your nose.
Allow it to start to circulate around your head.
Imagine that this color has the ability to relax.
Deeply relax anything that it comes in contact with.
Watch the color in your mind circulating around the left side of your head,
Over to the right side of your head.
Watch it flow around your eyes,
Softening and releasing any tension.
It swims into your jaw and your cheeks,
Instantly relaxing them.
Breathe in your color,
This magical relaxation.
Breathe it down into your throat.
Let it circulate across your left shoulder,
Softening and relaxing the muscles in your neck and that side of your shoulder.
Watch it swim across to the right side of your neck.
Your right shoulder gets heavy and relaxes.
Breathe the color down into your arms.
Allow it to flow down your elbows,
All the way down to your hands and your fingertips.
Fill in your little finger,
Your ring finger,
All the way down your middle finger.
Watch it flow down and around your index finger and your thumb.
Completely relaxing your arms so they feel very heavy and sleepy.
Breathing out any tension or stress or worries.
Taking a big deep breath in,
Pulling the color down into your chest,
Softening the muscles across your chest.
Deep down into your lungs,
Pulling it deeper down into your abdomen.
Swirling around all of your organs,
Relaxing your heart,
Your lungs,
Your liver,
Relaxing your kidneys,
Relaxing your entire torso.
It feels so good to just lay still and do something nice for yourself like this.
Just simply breathing in this beautiful color,
Allowing it to heal and relax your body deeply.
Breathe and intentionally send the color down into your hips and your lower back.
Relax all of your vertebrae,
One by one,
From the nape of your neck all the way down to the base of your spine.
Everything feels comfortable and aligned.
Watch the color start to flow down into your legs,
Through the muscles and the bones and your thighs,
Flowing through your veins,
Traveling around your knees,
Relaxing the ligaments and the tendons.
Your legs feel very heavy,
Very,
Very comfortable.
Feel the relaxation deep down in your ankles,
Flowing towards your toes.
The color fills your big toes,
Your second toe,
Your third toe,
Your fourth pinky toe.
See in your mind your whole body glowing and shimmering with this color.
It's running through your veins.
It's penetrating deep into your cells.
Bring in this deep,
Delicious relaxation into every part of your body.
Your head is heavy and relaxed.
Your legs,
Your arms,
Your body,
Everything is surrendered and let go deep into the surface of your bed.
Life is good.
All is well.
And in this moment,
You're very,
Very relaxed.
Your mind is quietened down.
Your heart is comfortable.
Your breathing has found the perfect,
Perfect pace.
All is good.
Start to let your body sink even deeper.
Imagine that the mattress beneath you is starting to shift and shape around you like a soft,
Warm hug.
And as you sink deeper and deeper,
You start to feel more and more held.
You're warm.
You can let yourself fall to sleep at any time.
Starting to feel that sensation of your body being super,
Super light.
It's like one part of your body is just so,
So heavy.
Another part of you is so light as if it wants to just raise up off the bed.
Slowly rising as if it's traveling somewhere on its own journey.
Floating up through the ceiling,
Up into the night sky,
Up above and beyond the rest of the world.
Ready to maybe journey into another time,
A different dimension,
An alternative reality.
Somewhere it can go and have experiences that will allow you to evolve and expand into a greater awareness of the universe.
Just let go.
Let the divine light take you somewhere very special.
Allow yourself to sleep deeply and soundly.
Just let go.
