Welcome to this meditation with Kari.
Make sure that you're lying down,
You're comfortable,
You can completely relax your body.
Take a nice big deep breath and soften your body into the surface beneath you.
Imagine that your aim as you relax is just to really surrender into the relaxation.
You're not trying to do anything else in the meditation except give a little bit of love and allow your body to just let go for a while.
Imagine that you're pulling all of your focus and attention inward.
When you close your eyes you're going inside of your mind,
Inside of your body.
You're allowing yourself to settle into yourself.
Bring your attention inside.
I like to imagine that I'm going into another world,
Another part of my mind,
My existence,
My reality is what happens on the inside when I close my eyes.
Then with your eyes closed,
Imagine that you're staring out in front of you.
Yes it might just be dark,
You may see some colours or some shapes in the darkness but know that that darkness is like the doorway to a whole other realm and you're standing there ready to go on a journey,
To leave your normal reality behind and the more you relax and surrender the more possibilities your mind has to expand in this other realm.
Inhale and see if you can breathe all the way down to your toes.
Notice your breath in your mind traveling through your body.
The deeper the breath the closer you get all the way down to your toes.
When you breathe out take your time,
Breathe out slow and constant.
When your breath reaches your toes just whittle your toes,
Physically move them so that you can feel them and they become your point of attention.
And then imagine that your breath has the ability to completely relax all the different parts of your body that it touches.
So now that you're breathing into your toes and the space inside of your feet,
Just notice that your feet feel good,
They feel heavy and relaxed.
Then as you move your attention and your breath into your ankles allow your feet to just disappear into nothing.
They're already relaxed and completely surrendered.
Now you're looking at your ankles,
Feel around your ankles and inside of your ankles.
Take your breath all the way down to your ankles and feel how comfortable and heavy and relaxed they are.
Your lower legs fill with your breath,
The muscles in your calves soften and relax.
Breathing down into the space around your knees,
Breathing into your thighs,
Your hips completely relax,
Any tension in your lower back just melts away.
Visualise your breath flowing around your abdomen and your ribs,
Softening the muscles,
Creating a sense of peace and relaxation in all of your organs and your torso.
Watch your breath travel into your heart centre,
Filling your lungs,
Slowing down your heartbeat,
Relaxing your shoulders.
Connect with your back body,
Feel the back of your head,
Your back,
Your hips,
The backs of your legs,
The back of your ankles,
Your heels and imagine that your whole body is surrendering deeper into the surface that you're laying on.
Your shoulders and your arms get heavy and comfortable,
Your hands feel completely relaxed and finally your head sinks deeper into the pillow.
Just let go,
Staring into that space in the middle of your forehead,
Staring out as if you're staring into the doorway of another realm,
Another dimension in time.
And imagine that in that space there in front of you,
You're staring out at the ocean.
You can hear the waves coming onto the beach and pulling back into the ocean.
As you stare out into that space in front of you,
Notice that you feel very calm,
Very comfortable just standing watching the ocean.
Every part of you internally feels at peace.
You don't have any worries or any stresses.
It's like this ocean belongs on another planet and you're observing the power of the water,
The power and the colours,
The energy that's transmuted off the ocean.
As if you're doing it all for the first time.
Just staring at the big,
Vast,
Wide open ocean.
You start to feel as if you're part of it.
Walking down so that your feet are being caressed by the water.
You notice all the obvious sensations,
How cold and refreshing the water feels,
That feeling of sinking deeper into the sand as the wave pulls away from you.
You can feel the texture of the sand between your toes.
But then the next wave that comes up and rushes around your ankles and covers your feet,
You can feel the energy and the power inside of it.
You can feel that energy travelling into your ankles and your feet as if every wave brings you closer to connecting your entire body to this vast,
Wide open creature.
The next wave that comes up and rushes around your feet,
You feel it go all the way up to your knees.
The energy travels up to your knees.
It's powerful and solid and vibrant and there's so much movement inside of the energy.
Like you're connecting to all of the ocean creatures and all of the animals,
All of the different things that live out there in that big,
Wide open space in front of you.
You feel it travel up to your hips.
It rushes and tingles the base of your spine,
Which sends an energy rush and a tingle all the way up to the top of your head.
You shiver as you connect to the ocean.
Your heartbeat starts to get in tune and rhythmically match the waves and the pools in the water.
You feel so much bigger,
So much more expansive than you've ever felt.
Did you ever think that you would be an ocean?
The sensations rush up your fingertips all the way up your arms,
Up into your spinal column,
All the way up to the top of your crown.
Your eyes see the water in a whole new way.
Your body accepts and feels the water in a whole new way.
Your entire being,
Every cell inside of you is alive with the energy of this ocean.
And it feels so delicious.
You feel vibrant and energized.
You feel complete and whole.
You feel renewed as if your whole body is transforming,
As if you're going through a rebirth,
As this energy rushes through your cells.
The sound of the waves have never sounded the way they sound right now.
It's like you're making the sound.
You are the energy,
You are the movement,
You are the vibrancy.
This feeling of being completely alive is going to stay with you.
You're going to have the best day or you're going to have the best sleep.
You're going to sleep like you've never slept before.
Know that you have the capability of connecting to anything in this realm or beyond.
Now just breathe and listen to the ocean.
Be one with the ocean.
