Ninja Unicorns - Children's Sleep Story

In this Children’s Sleep Meditation Story, you will enjoy this wonderfully relaxing meditation about 5 Unicorn sisters who have the best grandma. Grandma shares about a very special day called Apple Crumble Summer Sunday that used to take place there at Miletop Mountain where the Unicorns live. The sisters turn into Ninja Unicorn.

Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Are you ready to be so very still?

Try and be as still as a statue and as quiet as a mouse as you lay in bed and listen to the meditation story.

We want you to be able to relax your body,

Soften your muscles and let go of your day.

There was a family meeting going on in Mile Top Mountain.

Mile Top Mountain was the most beautiful,

Precious place in the world.

It was in a place that was a secret destination.

I couldn't tell you where Mile Top Mountain was even if I wanted to.

It was far,

Far away.

I can tell you that.

And the only thing that lived on Mile Top Mountain were unicorns.

There was a whole village of unicorns.

And because there they were safe and in a secret place,

They lived free and happy and they'd been on Mile Top Mountain for many,

Many generations.

Five sisters,

Trixie,

Dixie,

Mixie,

Coco Plum and Pumpkin were all sat listening to Grandma Sophia talk about the good old days.

Grandma Sophia was the best unicorn you could ever meet.

She was quite old now,

An old unicorn,

But she was very royal and grand and very classy.

She was a silver unicorn and she had a silver mane and her eyes were sparkly purple.

She wore glasses and she looked super cute in them.

And the girls absolutely loved Grandma Sophia.

She just always had the best stories.

And if they were having trouble with their parents,

Grandma Sophia was always there for them.

She would listen to their complaints.

She would give them suggestions.

It was like having their very own therapist.

She was the best.

The girls were all at Grandma Sophia's house.

All sat around the kitchen table drinking magical rainbow juice.

The juice came from a special river in Mile Top Mountain.

It had all different colors of different juices and different flavors.

It was delicious.

The juice combined with rainbow sprinkle cookies that day was a perfect treat to all be sat nibbling on while they listened to Grandma Sophia talk about a very special place and a very special holiday that used to take place in Mile Top Mountain.

Apple crumble summer Sunday.

It was once a year,

Said Grandma Sophia.

It's once a year,

But that one day was the best day in the world.

Every Apple crumble summer Sunday,

All of the villagers would gather together to make the biggest,

Most perfect,

Most dreamiest,

Deliciousest Apple crumble summer cake.

Ooh,

Said Trixie,

That sounds so delicious.

Dixie said,

Was it really big?

Was it really,

Really big?

Like if it was for the whole village,

It had to be really big,

Right Grandma?

Pumpkin,

The youngest sister said,

I bet it was as big as the mountain itself.

Cocoa Plum was just a little bit older than pumpkin,

Said that would be silly.

How could it be that big?

This place is enormous.

Grandma Sophia said,

Pumpkin is actually almost right.

It was so big,

So big.

Kids,

I'm not kidding.

It was enormous.

Trixie said,

Where did you get that many apples to make a crumble that big Grandma?

Well,

It's funny you should say,

Not too far away from here.

There's an orchard called Appleberry.

It has the best,

Sweetest,

Most delicious apples.

There's hundreds and thousands of apples in that orchard.

Trixie said,

I don't understand,

How come we don't still do this?

This sounds like the best holiday.

And I would imagine everybody kind of get together and they all eat the crumble cake and everyone just got along really well.

And I bet it was just like the best.

Grandma Sophia said,

You're right Trixie,

It was.

It was the best day.

But then eventually,

After many years of doing the special day,

Something terrible happened in Appleberry orchard.

The whole orchard got infested by these tiny little worms and the tiny little worms ate every single apple.

So when it came to Apple Crumbles Summer Sunday,

There were no apples.

And those little worms,

The little devils,

They stayed around for three solid years.

We could not get rid of them for three years.

And by the time three years had gone by,

The whole village had started to forget about Apple Crumble Summer Sunday.

It was very sad.

We haven't done it since.

That was over 20 years ago.

Pumpkin said,

Oh,

That's so sad.

Oh,

Oh,

I really wanted Appleberry orchard to be okay.

Grandma said,

Oh,

It's okay now.

There's hundreds and thousands of apples there.

Mixie said,

I have an idea.

Why don't we do it again?

Why don't we do Apple Crumble Summer Sunday again and make it the bestest,

Biggest Apple Crumble Summer cake?

Grandma Sophia said,

Wow,

It might be a challenge.

I'm just letting you know,

It probably would be amazing.

But it could be a challenge.

Do you think just five sisters could do that?

We used to use the whole village.

Oh,

No,

We want it to be a secret,

Said Cocoa Plum,

A secret that we could start again.

And then when we do it,

You could explain to everyone,

The people that don't remember all the different unicorns that are too young.

You could explain to everyone how it used to work and how it used to happen and what we all used to do and how we should do it every year and how Appleberry orchard is just waiting and waiting and waiting for us.

Grandma Sophia started laughing.

That would be nice.

To bring back a tradition like that here at Mile Top Mountain would be so precious.

Your mom and dad would probably remember all about it.

They were younger then,

A lot younger.

One thing,

Though,

How are you going to do this so that it's a surprise for everyone?

The girls all giggled and looked at each other.

We have a plan,

Said Pumpkin.

That night,

The plan started to grow into fruition.

The girls had been taking ninja classes.

Their dad wanted them to learn self-defense.

So once a week,

For the last three months,

They'd been going to a ninja class.

The ninja class helped them to learn karate and all different taekwondo moves and all different things like that.

And the girls really all actually really,

Really enjoyed it.

It was a lot of fun.

And it was very different from what they would normally do with their hobbies.

They decided that now that they'd been doing it for three months,

They could definitely pass as being ninjas.

Who couldn't pass as being a ninja?

They even had ninja masks and they all had black outfits and they were going to wear them this evening and go to Appleberry Orchard and gather as many apples as they possibly could,

Spend all night making the biggest,

Most delicious apple crumble summer sundae cake and then tomorrow would be apple crumble summer sundae because it was sundae tomorrow.

It was April the 15th.

Perfect day,

They thought.

Not quite too hot for summer and not too cold for winter.

April was a good month there at Mile Top Mountain.

That night they did the best work being ninjas.

They were very stealthy,

Very quick,

Very quiet,

Which is what you need to be a ninja.

They gathered baskets out of Grandma Sophia's garage that she had that she kept all her own.

They gathered 30 baskets.

Luckily for them,

Grandma Sophia liked baskets.

She kind of collected them.

She had them all over the house.

Where the ninja girls came into play,

Which was a genius idea,

Was one of them,

Trixie did it first because she was the oldest,

Would stand by an apple tree and then all of a sudden she would jump onto her front legs,

Kick up her back legs,

Kick the tree with both back legs in like the bestest,

Coolest ninja move and shout,

Hi-ya!

And just as she did that,

Every apple on that tree fell off.

Every single one,

Perfectly picked,

Just like that.

All the other sisters laughed and cheered,

That's genius!

Trixie said,

No,

That's a ninja unicorn!

Dixie did the same thing,

Mixie did the same thing,

Coco-Pom could do it,

And even Pumpkin,

The tiniest of all of the sisters,

Could do a ninja kick on the apple trees and get all the apples to fall off at once.

It was like the apples were welcoming being picked.

They must have collected hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of apples.

They took them all back to Grandma Sophia's house,

This was all in the middle of the night,

It was very ninja-y.

Grandma Sophia was up waiting for them and she showed them what to do with the apples,

They had to peel every single apple.

What they decided was if they put the apple in their mouth very quickly and went,

Nanananananananana,

Made that noise,

Nanananananananananana,

Spun the apple around with the tongue and then peeled the apple with their teeth and then spat the apple back out.

It was peeled in like two seconds,

It was genius.

The ninja sisters sat there peeling apples for at least three hours,

Nanananananana,

Nanananananana,

Over and over and over again.

Grandma Sophia was very proud of them,

They were doing such a good job.

And then she showed them how to make the crumble.

The apple crumble,

Summer sundae cakes.

They were going to make one giant cake,

But they had to make the cake in pieces because Grandma's oven wasn't big enough.

They made 40 different pieces and they assembled them outside of Grandma's house because she had a very big,

Big garden.

In the garden they put 15 picnic tables down and on those picnic tables they put all the pieces of the crumble cake together.

And then Grandma showed them how to make crumble and then she put this very special,

Delicious caramel sauce on top of everything.

It was like an apple-y,

Caramel-y sauce that was the best.

So the crumble cake was all yummy and gooey and sticky and it smelled so good.

It was very hard for the five sisters not to eat the cake,

But they promised that they wouldn't.

They were going to wait to try it along with everyone else in Mile Top Mountain.

The next day the birds awoke singing in the sky.

The girls were all tired,

But very excited.

They were running off adrenaline.

They couldn't wait to make this a special,

Special ceremonial day just like it used to be in the olden days.

Grandma Sofia had a special horn that she could blow because she was from one of the older generations of the unicorns in Mile Top Mountain.

All the older generation had a horn and they would blow it whenever they needed a village meeting.

On this morning Grandma Sofia very happily blew her horn and the horn was a big horn and it blew throughout the entire village and everyone knew what that meant.

So they would all gather in the middle of the village around the water fountain that was their special meeting place.

Every single unicorn came to the meeting both young and old.

There was like a stage,

Like a platform next to the waterfall and Grandma Sofia stood on the platform and announced that today,

April the 15th,

Was the beginning of a new era.

Today they were going to start Apple Crumble Summer Sunday once again.

Some of the older unicorns cheered and applauded,

The girls,

Mum and dad,

Remembered what that were and they cheered and applauded as did many other parents.

They remembered what it was like when they were younger.

Grandma Sofia explained what Apple Crumble Summer Sunday was to all the younger unicorns and then she said very proudly that her granddaughters had made it so that it would happen this day and from this day forward every year,

April 15th,

This would happen.

This would be a holiday.

The sisters carried out very carefully the most ginormous Apple Crumble Summer Sunday cake.

They put it in the middle of the village and everyone got to have a taste.

Every single unicorn got a piece.

They ate the cake along with rainbow juice from the river and had the bestest celebrations that day.

They celebrated community,

Knowing each other,

Having each others backs.

They celebrated the secret mild top mountain,

The fact that they were safe there and they could live in peace and harmony.

They celebrated the sisters Trixie,

Dixie,

Mixie,

Cocoa Plum and Pumpkin for having the genius ninja skills and being ninja unicorns and making it happen all in one evening.

From then on,

All the years after,

All the unicorns would come together and make the cake,

Not just the sisters.

All the young ones,

All the older ones,

It would be a village affair,

Something that brought everyone together and made everyone celebrate this special yummy cake.

I really like how this one has a -bringing back traditions theme-and how the unicorns have ninja skills. I find that really funny. I hope that you can make this meditation into a series because I really enjoyed it(by the way I’m only 10 so that’s why I find this meditation so interesting).

SO AWESOME I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It was very relaxing except for the part where the unicorns went “NENENENENENENENENENENE”. I cracked up.
